More sewing accidents... I pinned my finger to this pillow cover for @organic.caboose 😅 It was just thru the top, dead layer at least, no blood to stain my project. That's my real fear! They feature 100% Organic Cotton Waistbands, upcycled vintage scarves, AND they've been carefully crafted by @rochesterrefugee as our first partnered project! It's so exciting to work with this amazing group! Rochester Refugee Sewing and Repair is a skill sharing, job producing, resettlement program. They produce their own cut and sewn products like t shirt bags and scrunchies, and offer other sewing services as well. So, I am embarking on a new career adventure. Whatever Works has been hired by @organic.caboose for contract sewing! Yay! I'm looking forward to making organic baby, mom and household goods. The best thing about this is I can work from home. Instead of a 3-hour commute to and from my former day job I will have a no-hour commute up the stairs. Now I just have to budget my time and reorganize everything... The bad news is I won't have any more "Things I found at my day job" posts. Acceptable losses.
