Decided to upload the concept sketches for the Dragon Ball ocs I've come up with since getting back into the fandom. Some of them need a few tweaks( the one that's just a head needs a body XD), but I'm happy with what I have so far.

From left to right, we have:

Keylie, a young member of Zarbon's race who prefers to be in her Monster Form at all times. She's currently training to become stronger and hates those who consider beauty as everything.

Rambuta, a young member of Dodoria's race who was previously enslaved since he was an infant, but thankfully was freed by Keylie and now thinks of her as his big sister.

Icreema, a member of the Ginyu Force who usually steps in when one of the Ginyus is out of commission. She has incredible physical strength despite her small and danty size and is Recoome's older step sister.

And finally, Soya, a Cooler's Armored Squadron member who is a Brench/ Boulean hybrid via her mother having an affair with a Boulean. And while her both her fighting prowess and psychic powers are praised, she is considered scary and ugly by both many members of the Cooler/ Frieza Force and her Brench family( except her mother) thanks to her heritage, as well as her cold demeanor both on and off the battlefield.

There are parts of Keylie and Rambuta's story that I want to keep secret for now since I'm still developing it. But I can tell you they are currently being trained by Dodoria and Zarbon, respectively, who were revived after Chronoa discovered a future timeline where they were aiding Keylie and Rambuta, along with some other familiar Frieza Force members, in a huge battle against a very dangerous impotent villain. And while she initially wanted to fix the timeline and deem it an alternation by Towa, she ultimately decided to let it happen and even helps them from time to time.

As for Icreema, I might rethink Icreema a little since I haven't really developed her much than I have with Keylie, Rambuta, and Soya.

And for Soya, I definitely want to make a separate story focusing on her and the Armored Squadron as I've really developed Soya a lot since creating her, and her relationship with the Armored Squadron is definitely better than her relationship with her family. As well as having one of the Squadron members as her love interest.

I do have ideas for more DBZ OCs, but since they aren't drawn yet/ in development, you guys will have to wait a bit longer. Unless you guys decide to barrage me with questions.

Hopefully, I will get these guys into ClipStudio Paint ASAP since they desperately need colors. I know what colors to give Keylie and Icreema, but Rambuta and Soya are going to be hard.

But hopefully, I'll get it all done before the year ends, along with all the other OCs from the other fandoms.

Let the show begin

Some time ago I created this little Au for fun but I ended up leaving it aside, recently I remembered its existence and decided to do some remakes on the clothes of each character that already exist in it, I will try to do the other remakes and random drawings about the Au but they are not my main focus so it will take a while for a new drawing to appear there with this Au, the first to suffer a remake was Salza, he was the only one that I didn't like the final result of the outfit so I fixed what I didn't like before, he has the outfit almost the same except for the fact that now he doesn't use a jumpsuit anymore. For now I am not creating a story for this Au even though I have already written a few loose things about each character that are already inserted in the Au, but who knows in the future

I will soon try to bring more drawings of the characters of this Au :]

I know I missed International Asexuality Day yesterday, but this is the prime opportunity for me to tell you all now that Salza (or at least, my version of him) is aromantic-asexual. He is completely uninterested in a romantic relationship, content with the close bonds he has with his team, and is a sex-repulsed asexual.

For that matter, nobody on the Armored Squadron is heterosexual. Dore is a masc-leaning bisexual, and Neiz is demisexual and homoromantic. They also happen to be not-so secret boyfriends, since it would be inappropriate for colleagues to be in a relationship and all. It's pretty much an open secret though, and Cooler knows, he just doesn't care as long as they don't let it affect their duties.

Im super excited for the new Dragonball game, not because I grew up with Budokai 1-3 (since I didnt, i didnt own a ps2) but because it has the chance to fix the one issue i have with FighterZ.

FighterZ is a near perfect game, however, its roster is too clean. in fighting games, you need some "why the fucks?".

Take for example, Marvel Vs Capcom 3. Would anyone be disappointed if Modok and Shuma Gorath werent in it? No, theyre D tier characters if we're being generous. BUT, is the game infinitely better for having an eldrich monster and the mental organism designed only for sucking kock? for sure. She-Hulk isnt exactly a popular character, but she's one of my favs to play in MVC3 since shes such a random pick.

Meanwhile, FighterZ most "random" and out there character pick is like. Janemba, an insanely popular villain from one of the best dragonball movies. Compare this to Dragon Ball Raging Blast 2, where you can play as Zangya, Androids 13,14,15, Cui, Saibaman, Cell Jr., Cooler's Armored Squadron, and FUCKING TARBLE. The most "out there" transformation in FighterZ is Super Saiyan 4. in RB2, you can play as the blue colored "controlled" Super Saiyan Broly.

The issue's still bothering me- why did they give Gohan his tail in the Cooler movie?

The two other movies with it have justification- Dead Zone because it's pre-Z and Tree of Might because there's an actual plot point around Turles growing it back with some pressure point mumbo jumbo and having him transform into an Oozaru (and another point, why didn't Turles transform?).

So, this movie has no Oozaru and his tail has been long gone by the point in the main canon this is supposed to be set in. The only things the tail is used for in this movie are to make him identifiable as a Saiyan by the Armored Squadron (since he has his Namek bowl cut instead of his spiky mane) and to give him a weak point for Dore to incapacitate him with.

That's it. They don't even explain why it's back.

untitled dragonball gem au

so uh I've been having this gem au invade my brain for a while, and it mainly started with the knowledge that clear diamonds can sometimes have inclusions in them.(reminded me of someone.) as a result I ended up making three court groupings to match, and wrote up a bit of lore ideas. will I write anything for it? not yet, still have to finish chaos magic. so for now I'm leaving the au stuff under read more, uses a bit of SU but it's mostly dragon ball and original stuff.

additionally not everyone is gem or humans, they just replace a faction and two species. also none of the courts are actually unified, for multiple reasons but

key terms:

Court of Growth: the court of growth was a gem subfaction originally focused on more peaceful methods, however most of the gems created within its specifics have been shattered by the court of fury. there are currently five remaining members at the current moment. their emblem is a light green, it's shape version resembles that of a diamond with it's left and right points flattened. normally one just has the shape on their outfit somewhere. (pretty much this au's version of the tuffles/tsufarians/tsufarjin.)

Court of Fury: a militant gem court that's also been nearly wiped out, but not nearly as extensively as the Court of Growth. with only 16 members created within the group, and 2 adopted into it is much better off than the court of growth. logo is a simple red star, but just a star is more common on one. (au's version of the saiyans but also partially the crystal gems, which is explained a bit more when we get to the lore.)

Blizzard Court: the oldest court of the three courts, they have an extensive military, but not much is known on what they do. they're responsible for for wiping out most of the Court of Fury, and are feared by both courts below them. this is the only court who's emblem does not match it's founder, the reasons of which are unknown but there are theories. logo shape changes from time to time, but it always has that deep blue circle somewhere, even for the subfactions. (au equivalent of Frieza's empire pretty much)

Half-gem: straight forward from steven universe really, characters who are half gem half something else, usually they're half human.

Hybrid-gem: more than half gem, half something else. multiple genetics from multiple sources pretty much.

with that out of the way: Lore time.

The gems were originally created by the kais a long time ago, however they all chose different paths with walks of life. No action was taken against this, just like the other species in the cosmos. There’s a legend of a Kai named Zamasu being turned into an enhydro quartz as punishment for something he did, and casted down onto the gem homeworld for some unknown reason, but no one believes he’s real and simply a myth.

The Blizzard court is the oldest known court, started by an orange diamond named chilled; they chose conquest as their starting ground, leading to many things later down the line. The current leader is a magenta diamond named Frieza, his heir is Kuriza, a brown diamond. 

Originally it was run by King Cold, a Blue diamond and in that time Frieza and his brother Cooler fought to inherit complete control. However Frieza won over the indigo diamond; often when that happens the losing heir has 3 remaining choices: to be shattered (die pretty much), to go off to lead their own life within the crowd of other gems, or to create a sub faction within the court. Cooler chose the latter, creating the armored squadron. 

Should either of Cold’s heirs end up with a diamond of another court, both courts will be allied. This role is still in place as Kuriza is still considered far too young. Additionally if they end up with a gem of a lower caste, the other gem increases in rank to be a bit lower or equal, depending on variables.

The second oldest is the court of growth, once a flourishing and highly advanced court started by an unknown green diamond; the current leader a clear diamond named Bebī finds himself with only four subjects left: the clear quartz twins Kamin & Oren, originally meant to be one; inclusions cut them in half, creating a rare instance of mirror twins. Dr.Lychee an aquamarine that strangely took up science for some reason, and Hatchiyack an Iolight artificially created by Dr.Lychee out of anger.

Finally there was the court of fury, founded by a red jasper named Vegeta; it quickly became tradition to name the first heir the same, and that’s where the current red diamond of that very same traditional name finds himself. They founded themselves on fighting, at one point fighting for whomever would pay. However the court of fury found themselves fighting out from below the Blizzard court, after the previous diamond failed to fight back; additionally most of the court of fury has almost been wiped out with 16 members created within, and one who has been outcast making him a court of fury rogue. 

Court of fury rouges are rare as even their remaining created agate; a laguna agate named Cumber, often finds a use for them. So to be outcasted like Paragus the jasper, often means you have done something seriously unforgivable. Because the court of fury even keeps those like Cumber the agate, Turles the citrine and the malachite named Broly around. 

Additionally Cheelai the moss agate, and Lemo the dendritic agate are rare instances of gems being adopted into another court, in this case the Court of fury through the Emerald Broly. Often the Emerald and Malachite are referred with the prefixes “softy” and “devil” before their names to reduce confusion. The court of fury is also the only court to ally themselves with other species outside of other gem courts, with Goku the orange jasper’s human friends (plus piccolo) further sealed with Vegeta’s marriage with the scientist Bulma.

Speaking of Bulma she’s the reason half gems are capable of existing, as she figured out a way to make both dna work in a clone. Unfortunately this would be taken even further by Dr.Gero and his creations, the most notable being a hybrid gem with an Amber for a gem, better known as Cell.

additional stuff

Why do the diamonds of this au have heirs, and why do the factions have missing founders?

some of the rules and limitations from steven universe don't apply here, that includes the power system from it. pretty much an agate can shatter a diamond, just as much as a diamond can.

shattering isn't always a perma death just like in dragon ball, revivals just have more variety then in dragon ball really. additionally the original founders have a lot of other things but going through a few:

the red jasper vegeta wasn't actually named that, it was a lie he told to maintain the timeline, since he was sent back during his adventures. it's actually just Bardock, being Bardock.

if you saw the OVA Chilled was killed by Bardock, same happens here Gem!Chilled was shattered by Gem!Bardock. and it's also why marriage exists on the gem homeworld of this au, because it ensured that there was someone to take up the reigns until an heir was created, it was pretty much a rule set up early on by Chilled. (reproduction is a little different here)

finally the unnamed green diamond originally just retired, and was shattered with everyone else.

what's with the gem choices?

as I said before I was originally inspired by the fact clear diamonds could have inclusions (other minerals inside), and remembered mirror twins where a thing it could also cause if it cut through, thus lining up Bebī, Kamin and Oren.

Zamasu being an enhydro quartz was my dad's idea, we both like dragon ball and I mentioned how I ended up making Hit and Guldo Jades (I have entire sections paring characters with gems, I'll gladly provide is asked), since I couldn't think of anything else; so he brought up enhydro agate, how it could happen to quartz as well, and how it was pretty much ancient water preserved in stone.

coupled with how in the usual SU caste system quartz are just common soldiers, it made a lot of sense for the only kai I turned into a gem, if it was a punishment and why he was made something so specific.

Cell as an amber is easy to understand, it's affectively ancient tree sap; and there's many instances of bugs being preserved, coupled with the plot of jurassic park you have the perfect gem for him.

Hatchiyack being an iolight has a lot to do with the gem and character; in the OVA and game he's from he brings back Turles, Slug, Frieza and Cooler as "Ghost warriors" coupled with how his moves appear, and the ability to clone himself:

a gem with myths about being used to find things, see through the clouds, with a ghostly appearance when lower quality works really well, it's blue and purple too two of his colors on his color pallet.

Frieza has the Ginyu Force, Cooler has his armored squadron, who does King Cold have?

Introducing the King’s Entourage, a group of three lieutenants and their captain who protect King Cold, and eventually start doing actual heroic deeds after he kicks the bucket.

Kona (yes that Kona, changed her story.) and Fry are both earthlings, Fry being a former time patroller who got swept up in this by accident but got too attached to this timeline to leave it.

Stover is the same species as Burter, very different in personality though, considering his preference towards slowness, and carefully calculating the best possible course of action before just doing things.

Baker is the same species as Gure, and claims to be a speedster when in reality he can just teleport. Man is running on 6 cups of coffee and a muffin at all times. But he is a sweet lad.

• Baburu was the first character I created in Xenoverse 2.

• She was originally part of Cooler's Armored Squadron.

• Wears similar armor to Cheelai (has a more agile/flexible fighting style.)

• Has a 2nd form (kinda similar to Android 21)

Who are your favourite characters? Or characters you wish got more attention?

Good to be back in one of my first ever anime fandoms!

Ah yes, the one question everyone dreads. Picking favorites.

For good guys, definitely Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Bulma, DBS Broly and Majin Buu. Krillan and Gohan are also pretty cool characters, too.

As for villains, Frieza is definitely one of my favorites, but I do like his men a lot more. Specifically, Dodoria, Zarbon, and the Ginyu Force.

I also love Cooler and his Armored Squadron. They should have definitely gotten the Super treatment like Broly.

Chapter 2: Mission Gone Wrong.

. . . ”Adding User Gold to Ginyu Force scouter contact list” . . .

Gold had never thought that he would ever hear those words, and yet, here he was, becoming a contact on the Ginyu Force’s private scouter contact list. Although as Burter said, they will only contact if it’s an emergency, and it should be the other way around as well.

. . . “User Gold has successfully been added to the contacts list” . . .

Gold looked up and shall his mentor of one year nodding in approval, “Welcome to the Force, rookie.” The friendly giant grinned. ”It’s not going to be easy, just to give you the fairest warning possible,” Burter added quickly. To this Gold nodded in understanding of this statement.

“Now, go rest up, we have a very important mission to see to tomorrow. Captain ordered me to take you with me, so you better be in tip-top shape!” With that Burter marched away to get some rest, no doubt about it.

On his way through town, Gold couldn’t help but be happy to see that the village had been recovering at a great rate. Even the villagers were doing alright, he waved to a few of said villagers, they were redecorating the fronts of their stores and homes as he passed. He would give it a few more years before the place returned to normal though, as the villagers, without a doubt, were still shaken up by the arrival of Cooler’s soldiers.

The Next Day.

Gold was waiting for his mentor by the time the Veker Star had began to rise. He would be lying if he didn’t say that he was nervous about what this mission was, and just how it would turn out. He didn’t know of the perils to come very shortly.

He spotted his mentor walking through the not-busy street. The tall figure was wearing his cloak once again, and he was carrying an extra one as well. Once close enough, Burter tossed the extra cloak at the frost demon, to which Gold caught it and swiftly put it on. “You remember how to hide your power level, correct? If so, lower it to around 10.”

No questions asked, Gold nodded that he did, indeed, remember how to lower his power level. He lowered his power level to 12 quickly. ”I should explain what the mission is, and why they chose us.” Burter muttered.

“The mission is to invade Cooler’s ship and take out as many soldiers as we can, and maybe even Cooler himself if he‘s on-board. They chose us because we can get there the quickest.“ The tall, cloaked, Burter explained.

Gold, not one for many words simply nodded to the information that he had been told by his mentor, he would make sure not to let him down.

Roughly 2 hours later, On-board Cooler’s ship.

The two had successfully snuck on-board the infamous Cooler’s ship, and the mission would soon take off.

It was go time! Gold easily took down the first guard without alerting anyone, he shoved the guard into a corner where no one would find them. He and Burter slowly crept through the large ship, taking out the guards and soldiers that were in their ways with relative ease. They were very lucky that the Armored Squadron wasn’t on-board this ship, because they’d be in serious trouble.

The duo soon found themselves in Cooler’s throne room, feeling the intensity of Lord Frieza’s sibling’s aura. Gold was glad he had silenced the beeping part of his scouter, or else it would’ve given away their location when calculating the power level. It was definitely not reading correctly, as it only said 5,000.

As if he could sense them, (He can’t sense power levels, but he can have the feeling of being watched, because he was being watched) Cooler whipped his head around, glaring at the two, now-screwed Ginyu Force intruders. With the intention clear as he charged toward them, Burter somehow blocked and landed a strong punch to Cooler’s gut. This sent the would-be emperor sliding back a little, but that didn’t stop him for long.

The scary tyrant immediately transformed into his towering, hulking, final form. He had pure red eyes and a mouth guard, as well as a strange new head shape. His shoulders were now circled by bone-like tissues, as well as his chest being covered by the same kind of material. His arm guard and leg guards were in the exact same manner of material as well, like the other bits. Although, the arm guards had spikes coming out of the back.

Gold was terrified when the evil being easily slammed his fist through Burter’s chest and then blasted him with a powerful, burst-like energy blast. When the smoke had cleared, there was no trace of Burter left. With the stronger of the two intruders out of the way, he rushed towards Gold. The darker colored frost demon tried to block a flying kick from the larger one, but his guard was easily broken through and he was sent flying back into a wall of the ship.

Gold crumpled to the ground weakly, in serious pain now. Cooler slowly walked towards him, once towering over the weaker frost demon, he crouched down and grabbed Gold by the arm, effortlessly picking him up and holding him up by his arm. “I should’ve let my soldiers kill you last year, you’re just a thorn in my side, you weakling.“ With that, the large frost demon began punching Gold over and over again like he was punching bag. Gold met each punch with a cough as air was driven out of his lungs time after time.

Once bored with his punching bag, Cooler carried Gold back into the throne room and towards the large window that looked out into space. “You see the darkness out there? That’s were you’re going, you‘d better hope that you don’t survive this, or else.” Cooler said darkly in his echoey, robotic-like voice. Gold didn’t have any time to fight back or give a reaction before he felt his body get thrown against the glass. He easily broke through the glass with how roughly the other had thrown him.

That was the last thing Gold remembered from before he woke up and was staring a purple haired man in the eyes. He stood up, quickly getting into a defensive stance. “Who are you? How did I get here?” Gold demanded the strange man.

The purple haired person with a sword on their back stepped forward slowly. “My name is Trunks, You’re in TokiToki City and you got here through my wish from Shenron, the wish-granting dragon, to bring a strong warrior here. You seem like you need to rest, you look very beaten-up.” The purple haired person, Trunks, seemed truly concerned.

“Hello, uhh, Trunks. I’m Gold. This TokiToki City sounds like it‘s a safe place, give me a tour sometime? Also, what, or who is this Shenron you speak of? I should probably take your advice and rest up first though, and then you can explain this whole situation to me.” Gold spoke, making sure to get every detail and question he had while he thought about it.

“I will definitely make sure to give you a tour of TokiToki City later, and then explain more in-detail why I wished to bring you here, as well as who Shenron is,” Trunks promised in his slightly gruff voice.

With that, Gold went off to find somewhere comfortable to take a quick rest, without leaving near the Wish Pedestal though. He didn’t want to take the chance of getting lost in this place, wherever it was. He would never truly understand his situation that he was about to find himself in. He would worry about the tour he was going to get when he woke up, he would also be looking forward to learning about this TokiToki City place or whatever it was.
