the two species are entirely indistinguishable from each other, the only difference is their call. also not seen here (bc i couldnt get a good angle of it) are their bright yellow undersides

some type of hammerhead worm (Bipaliinae(subfamily of the family Geoplanidae) probably specifically of the genus Bipalium. likely Bipalium pennsylvanicum given the three vertical stripes of equal width. also possibly Bipalium kewense, although the outer stripes on those are usually wider and a different color from the middle stripe
predatory and has toxic skin. cool looking but also invasive as fuck to tbis area. drowned that fucker in rubbing alcohol

The Cope’s grey treefrog [Dryophytes chrysoscelis] is a species of tree frog found throughout much of the southern United States. Physically indistinguishable from the grey tree frog [Dryophytes versicolor], the only readily noticeable difference between the two is their mating call. The Cope’s grey treefrog has a fast-paced, higher pitched call, whereas the grey tree frog has a lower and more drawn out call. Images taken in Arkansas by Michael R. Spencer.

cope’s grey treefrog (Dryophytes chrysoscelis)
My housemate just took a drive to the landfill to throw out junk the previous homeowners left behind, and when they got there they found this tree frog hiding in our outdoor trash can. After a weird field trip, she is home in our yard again.

Brown Banana Frog: Found in Western Africa, these frogs are rapidly growing endangered due to habitat destruction and the chitrid fungus. They lay their eggs in small clumps on leaves, that they then fold and glue together.
Grey Tree Frog: This North American frog is visually indistinguishable from Hyla chrysoscelis (Cope’s grey treefrog). However, their calls and pulse are slower and genetic testing has actually revealed that while H. chrysoscelis is diploid, like humans and most other vertebrate species, H. versicolor is actually tetraploid! That’s an extra pair of chromosomes! They can also tolerate freezing temperatures and change their colour in about half an hour as response to external stimulus.
