Honestly, if Nelvana had a hand in adapting the Johan et Pirlouit comic stories, I feel like they'd pull it off better than Hanna-Barbera did, especially if they went with the two-parter formula that The Adventures of Tintin had going on in the early 90s. Whole episodes would be an hour long but split into two half hour episodes and all.

I feel like with this extra time, there wouldn't have to be AS many cuts and the pacing would be a whole lot better overall imo. I know the chances of them getting a cartoon series now is close to zero compared to the 80s with the Smurfs' popularity overshadowing Johan and Peewit's, but it'd be nice if they were given a second chance at a cartoon adaptation.

A lot of his popularity comes from music atp: his studio, and albums, he had a ton of osts, hes one of few baritones who focuses on singing as much as rapping so he sounds good and sticks out. He's not good at variety because he's not funny, but he does have a variety persona that's funny in terms of having a strong personality so he's fun to talk about. Like he's not a dozen he has things going for him.

Like sure, I had to explain Holt's subplot and the relevance of Gordy's story to a few people who watched Nope with me, but I just love that this time Jordan Peele decided to let the audience figure it out or just not figure out and appreciate it despite it. I love that this movies has almost no scenes in which characters explain things to each other and the audience, and the scenes that are this are way more organic than I have seen in most movies. I feel it is so much stronger for it.

Ieder seizoen selecteren de programmeurs van de deelnemende theaters van De Coproducers, het samenwerkingsverband van twaalf Nederlandse theaters, twee makers die ze voor minimaal drie jaar ondersteunen. Door de financiële bijdrage en marketinginzet van De Coproducers, krijgen de theatermakers extra speelbeurten en focussen de theaters op publieksopbouw in hun steden. Het doel is dat de makers een vaste waarde worden bij zowel podia als publiek. “De Coproducers brengt de driehoek van makers, theaters en publiek veel dichter bij elkaar. Ruimte en voldoende tijd om te maken, te presenteren en een publiek op te bouwen. Deze opzet werkt alle kanten op,” aldus Hanno Tomassen, voorzitter van De Coproducers. Vorig seizoen startte het traject van Cherish Menzo (DARKMATTER) en De Poezieboys (Yy). Dit theaterseizoen komen Nastaran Razawi Khorasani met de voorstelling This is not a dance en Vanja Rukavina met Superposition erbij.
