Found a really good fic I wanted to share. It's a rare Darla/Angel gem, focusing entirely on them and set in season 3. Darla gets brought back to life, still a vampire but with a soul this time. The explanation is...actually a pretty good one.

There's a bit of realistic Cangel, touching on Angel's now complicated feelings, Darla's mild possessiveness, and Cordelia's jealousy. The latter is relatively minor - her feelings are exacerbated by her understandable distrust of Darla.

It was just a very well done snapshot of the characters and how they'd feel in this situation. Left me wishing it had been expanded into a 'verse.

"But it tastes good." Said so simply and matter-of-factly because that was all the reason he needed to dip his fingers into the batter. She had to understand that even without being cooked, the batter was to die for. Subtly sweet, it was bound to pair perfectly with the much sweeter frosting once it was whipped up.

He had an idea, however, just in case the deliciousness eluded her.

"Here, see?" He gently cupped her chin with his clean hand, gathered another dollop of batter and pressed the coated digit against her lips. "Try it."

"Hehe... Today I get to celebrate Valentines Day, our cafe is closed today and we were really busy yesterday... Mom and Dad went out yesterday after hours to celebrate together, and Arius and I are gonna sit in the living room, eat Valentines chocolate we bought on sale, and just relax. Mom and Dad went to visit my grandparents so it's just us!"

"No work today... I got ta sleep in, too."

He laughs, already moving to set up a series of movies for the two of them.

"Alright, take ya pick o' movies, there's a bunch I found that ya have been wantin' ta see."

"Yes! Okay, I'll pick a movie, you go get the snacks!"

Sims In Bloom: Generation 1 Pt. 23 (So Much Romance!)

While Everett and Heather loved spending nights counting stars at Lord Volpe’s old ruins, Kris and Holly had a favourite spot of their own inside the picturesque national park. The night before the Easter break, they hiked into the hills, to the cliff’s edge of Cordelia Falls for endless views south toward acres of green and gold farmland. Spring rains made for a muddy trek to the top, but Kris was determined. He’d planned this day for almost a year and thought about it even longer.

In all their years together, Holly and Kris had talked about their future many times, but now that they were coming to the end of their high school years, he was ready. He’d saved up for the ring and got down on one knee while Cordelia Falls sent a misty spray into the air behind him. Holly was elated. She said yes before they ‘christened their engagement’ right then and there in the woods behind a hydrangea bush. They couldn’t get enough of each other, and her family was thrilled by the engagement. They’d always loved Kris, and looked forward to the day he became an official member of their family.

The Nesbitts arrived in San Myshuno a day early for Karl and Mortimer’s wedding, helping with last minute preparations and bringing Mortimer’s aging great-aunt, Agnes Crumpcakes, with them from Henford. Type-A Mortimer was running around and stressed, and to escape the mood inside, Karl and Heather found a chess table in a park away from the others. Though they’d only known each other a few years, Karl stepped up as an uncle as soon as he met his nieces and nephew. He was silver-haired now and wouldn’t have kids of his own, and he took his second chance at family seriously.

Heather could be open with him about her terrible romantic choices. He could relate somewhat and assured her she would find the man she was meant to be with some day. If it could happen to him, a guy who felt he’d done little to warrant his recent great fortune, for a girl like Heather who wanted to save every animal in Simlandia, he said it was guaranteed.

Like fate, no sooner had he said it than Heather locked eyes with a teenager across the park plaza. He had short blond hair and flashed Heather a crooked smile, which she returned with a sheepish glance behind her glasses before he walked over to meet her. He said his name was Malcolm, and they talked for most of the afternoon while Karl pretended to practice his chess moves at a close distance. They exchanged numbers, and he sent her a flirty text the morning of her uncle’s wedding.

She smiled gleefully to herself as butterflies danced in the pit of her stomach, but something about Malcolm seemed off. Though she was an open book and told him all about her family’s success with Nesbeets, when she saved his number to her phone, she realized he’d never given her his last name. She started second-guessing her new feelings almost immediately, especially as she thought about Everett and Bob and Lucas Munch and her less-than-stellar romantic track record. But was it Malcolm she didn’t trust, or was it herself? It’s not like she’d asked him for his last name, anyway. But today was her uncle’s wedding, and she shook off her unease to celebrate with the Goths and her family.

Would Malcolm be the key to Heather's romantic future, or would her longtime feelings for Everett stand in his way? ->

J'ai les doigts goût Doritos au fromage. Cordelia drague un agent de sécurité et la cannette de Coca Cherry fait pschit. Il y a trois chats sur la table basse. Deux d'entre eux se bagarrent et l'autre me regarde. Buffy se bat contre l'ogre mangeur d'enfant, elle a encore la grippe. Tout à l'heure, j'ai reçu mon pantalon Adidas, trois euros sur Vinted. Les deux chats bagarreurs se bagarrent toujours mais ils se sont déplacés sur le canapé. L'autre chat n'a pas arrêté de me fixer. Un garçon pointe une arme sur sa copine. Will I ever be okay ? Il y a un bout de Monster Munch dans le cendrier.

(Cordy to Beel) “Okay, I think that’s enough for tonight.”

"But. . ."

She was small, slender and significantly weaker than he was, and still she was able to pull away the box of liqueur-filled chocolates that had been left on the kitchen table. A poor mistake made by whomever had abandoned them because there had been more than one box, but now that was all that remained — a single, messily opened box of half-melted but still entirely delicious white chocolate cordials filled with butterscotch liqueur.

So sweet, smooth and addicting. There were still over a dozen left in the box, and he desperately needed them despite having already swallowed down four other boxes of equally as boozy chocolates.

"Mmnngh, c'mon. . ."

He leaned forward, his whole body pressing against hers as she tried to play keep-away with a demon that sat nearly a whole foot taller than her. Beelzebub was great in size and strength, but he was too buzzed and too in love to do her any harm aside from partially crushing her under his weight.

Between helpless whimper and low growls of his stomach, the sixth-born begged. "I just wanna finish the rest off. Please? I promise I'll try really hard not to eat anything else after."

"hehe! Very tasty!"

Julian sits in the fake snow of Alterna with Cordelia and Arius, munching away on the last of the desserts they brought with them. Lil Buddy sits next to him, getting handed some of the desserts too.

"I'm glad you like them."

Arius looks at Julian and his Smallfry, still a little confused despite the story they were told that Julian was just raised by Salmonids.

"Still can't believe ya jus' were raised wit' them... Neva really thought much about the Salmonids other than what we were told in that handbook..."

Julian smiles, nodding and lifting Lil Buddy up.

"Lil Buddy best friend, wasn't raised with friend but are family! Gotta go see family soon... Miss them!"

He leans back slightly, suddenly frowning.

"Julian?"

"...Just thinking... Seen a lot of things, good and bad, with Salmonid family... Inklings and Octolings coming to our territory... Taking Golden Eggs for bad reason... People getting hurt cause they try to take our stuff..."

Arius and Cordelia look at each other, both of them were guilty of working for Grizzco without even thinking about it.

"...I suppose we never really thought of the repercussions..."

"Mhm..."

"...Dangerous for both parties. Inklings and Octolings can get hurt, we lose Golden Eggs. Can even lose lives if not careful... Bear will leave you behind if he thinks you a lost cause. We seen it."

"Really? Well, I mean... after hearing what he's done yeah but... He's seriously left behind someone??"

"Mhm. Multiple. Not everyone makes it... We try to save them if possible. An Inkling once left behind, didn't get splatted by Maws, just bit. Had to swim on back of King Salmonid to bring to safety.

Arius winces, that does not sound pleasant...

"Another one got knocked out, and was surrounded, Bear said to return to helicopter and left. We just dropped off back near Splatsville... We not monsters, we just defend what is ours..."

Lil Buddy moves to sit on his shoulder, gently rubbing his head against Julian's cheek.

"Of course not... And Grizzco is still up and running, even without Mr. Grizz... I wonder who's running it..."

"We neva even saw Mr. Grizz, don't know if we'll even see who's runnin' the place. Though no one really knows what happened here in Alterna..."

Julian shakes his head.

"Probably not. It will stay open, just part of Inkling and Octoling life now. But without Bear, maybe no one get left behind anymore..."

The three of them are quiet, instead of continuing to talk, they just sit in silence and enjoy the company of each other.

...And Julian finishes the rest of the desserts with Lil Buddy, of course.
