Unknown Artist, 'Portrait of Ann Nanney Vaughn of Cors-y-gedol', oil on canvas, no date (1700s), English, for sale for est. $3,000 - $5,000 USD at Doyle Auctions, January 2021; New York, NY, USA.
This ‘Ann Vaughn’ is likely the same Ann Vaughan of Cors-y-Gedol (or Corsygedol, b.1640 - d.1701) who was mother of Welsh politician Richard II Vaughan of Cors-y-Gedol (b.1606 - d.1636). Records suggest his father's marriage to an heiress of Talhenbont in Caernarvonshire - who is almost certainly Ann - significantly expanding the family's lands in Merioneth. (x)

Me: "Well where's this bloody Britano-Roman hut circle then?"
Me: *looks up*
Me: *looks around*
Me: "Oh SHIT!"
This is why I studied modern history. It's pretty difficult to walk on top of a Victorian factory.
(I have no idea how that will display, but it's a 360 degree panorama. Of the moment I realised I was standing in the middle of it.)
