Some will spaz so this science dropped is appropriate for any time frame as the apparatus will try to launch a mind game but that strategy should be a weak one…

When DJ Jon Doe, and Eddie Meeks, first met at Egon( @nowagain )and @countbassd ’s college radio show at Vanderbilt University, they had no idea it would be anything more than a freestyle or two and an interview. From that one meeting, Jon Doe became a part of Meeks’ and Mello Melanin’s group, PROPHETIX, and a lifelong bond was forged through beats, rhymes, and Bourbon. Together and solo, Meeks and Doe released incredible music and started Southern Vangard Radio, one of the premier podcasts representing underground hip-hop, which has been running for eight years and has featured countless artists before they were featured by major media outlets and record labels. But this is more than a story about a hip-hop group or podcast. This is the story of reinvention, of purpose, and, perhaps most importantly, friendship.

Okay, I’m going to say something that may or may not be obvious to say out loud but … I ONLY KNOW COUNT BASS D BECAUSE OF MF DOOM!
okay, I needed to get that off my chest for a while now.
Count Bass D’s “CBD” was a really fucking good album considering that I thought I was totally going to hate this (well not hate but maybe dislike). Now the only reason that I thought that "CBD" wasn't going to be good, is because "CBD" is Count's newest and latest album in his discography. Count ain’t new freshman, he been making music for a grip so honestly, I thought it was going to be feel dated.
Now usually when a rapper/artist has a long career, there newer music can feel dated or not up with the times, whatever that means. But, Count Bass D has a style that I can tell has no era. His instrumentals are very much new to me but feel so nostalgic. Count’s lyricism had to convince me before the instrumentals had to. almost like they’re made exactly for him!! (prob because he fucking made them he’s holding the MPC in his hand). Regardless, Count’s personality shines with this album and convinces me to take a deep dives into his older music. Plus like basically all the tracks made it onto my playlist. Fly.
TLDR: Count makes really fly beats with decent lyricism, mentions doom too much.
