Quite a lot. He'd have to probably somehow get rid of the monopolization of magic the Mage Society has (maybe change the Mage Society Codes so that people who are found to have magic are not required to join the Mage Society. Caspian Acker would not do this as he views the Mage Society as what saved him, he can't see why someone wouldn't like joining), allow Abora to leave the school, using his magic for others without making them pay.

In order for Abora to no longer trust her dad?

While I don't see Caspian Acker doing any of the things to get Abora to respect him, I cannot imagine Galfrin doing anything major enough to get Abora to no longer trust him. She got her values from him. They share quite the bond as well (the cost of a spell inherited from generation to generation, as well as running the inn)

Maybe if he were to force her to get married or something? He wouldn't do that, but at least that's within the realm of plausibility
