I can make things and things often happen especially with multiple winds overlapping A jester can juggle, but can one while napping?
"Surely" says I, with chainsaw in hand, "attached are our redlines and counterdemands." But might I ask if life has gone as planned? while the man of the hour still casts down his sand?
And the promise of youth now dissolves before me with most of life's lessons just barely absorbing And I stare at the mirror for lines in my face Still hoping that science might pick up the pace
Pursuing wisdom has done what it did My Super Ego was part of my Id. I still often wonder, though heavens forbid what might have been different had I kept on the lid?

New rule:
Any time a Leftist Gentile demands to know a Jew's position on Israel --especially if that Jew is not an Israeli--for any reason, it is fully within the Jewish person's right to counterdemand knowledge on the Gentile's position on deep-cover Christian missionaries.
And if the Gentile protests that they aren't responsible for the actions of missionary groups, we can respond in kind as appropriate.

Paradoxically, it may well be that the kingdom, or the rule, of God is necessarily utopic, and must remain so. Utopia is both a-topic (that is, it has no place), and eu-topic (that is, it is a good place). It may well be that justice is, in this sense, a utopian dream for which we pray, and for which we hope. But, we can only hope for it—and that hope can only be true hope when that kingdom of justice for which we hope is impossible. Paradoxically, what this means is that the very possibility of justice has as its condition of possibility the impossibility of justice. Justice is only possible because it is always impossible. The possibility of justice is injustice. Certainly, the lack of justice— the injustices that provoke us into action—enables the working for justice, but what sustains justice is the radical impossibility of its achievement. For having fleetingly been established, it needs constantly to be undone by the counterdemand of responsibility, that same responsibility incumbent upon us because God has hidden his face.

last sentence/passage meme
I was tagged by @ladyinthebluebox to share an excerpt of something I'm working on. And since I'm writing like five things at the moment, I decided to share a fragment of a fic that was supposed to be my mass effect big bang thing but probably won't (reyder alternate meeting AU with Alec alive and pathfinding). Anyway, here it is. Unedited, unbetaed, what is English.
Scott finally seemed to have arrived at some decision. He sighed with frustration and raked his hand through his hair, leaning against the seat.
“Fine,” he said, almost spitting that word as if it tasted vile on his tongue. “But I have a counterdemand.”
It wasn’t the way Reyes usually did business but he decided to humor the man.
“Okay, let’s hear it.”
“You cannot tell anyone what you’ll see during that meeting. Promise me that you won’t.”
Reyes raised an eyebrow. Scott couldn’t be serious. And if he was he apparently was more naïve than Reyes even thought.
“Are you aware that you’re right now on the planet of thieves and liars?”
“Promise me,” he repeated ardently, his eyes full of inner fire, the conflagration of his heart. Seeing that raw desperation, Reyes almost felt tempted to actually mean it.  Almost.
“I promise.” He was master of words, and words came cheap on Kadara. And yet Scott seemed satisfied, relaxing visibly.
“Thank you.”
