Uhhh *flips through ocs* cherrysong, sootpath, and halfstream.

i’ve pitched a few solid ships for cherrysong in cherrysong / pigeonpaw and cherrysong / applepaw, so! focusing on sootpath and halfstream...

though i don’t know how smoothly it’d work out in the start, i am intrigued by the idea of sootpath and morningnose. they’re both full of attitude, and i feel like they’d grate each other’s nerves to begin with, but...morningnose has shown that she’s actually able to wear down the sharper edges of cats like mousetail, so why not sootpath, too? i think they’d have fun gossiping together, and though their similiarities might serve as an obstacle at first, it’d benefit them eventually to have each other, i think! i really can just imagine them both going to town on rumors about their clanmates, snickering behind paws and pointing when cats aren’t looking...it’d be funny.

for halfstream i have to go a bit more out there because there’s no one particular in nettleclan i feel that would pair well with him, but one little concept i have is smokeflower being paired with him. they’re both dads who have daughters with major daddy issues, so! let them meet, bond, discuss the endless torment of trying to reconnect with their kits only to be rejected time and time again, and...i mean, halfstream’s already proven he’s willing to look across borders for relationships, and though i think he might’ve learned his lesson, i do believe he and smokeflower could be good for each other even just as friendly supporting figures in each other’s lives due to their similarities.

U just want to spill all my beans ://16: Dark secrets/’skeletons in the closet’Icicle: She’s had to kill more cats than she would like to admit because they wouldn’t take no for an answer hunting on her land, but she’s never killed a young cat or kit. This being her only weakness, it’s something she’d love to keep hidden.  Berryclaw: She killed a cat once by snapping her neck in her jaws and she feels no guilt about it. Also she [redacted]Duststorm: He likes to feel powerful, but would immediately crumble if 1 certain thing happened. I trust none of you so you don’t get to know. So instead u get to know his favorite food is mice.Rowanfur: Rowanfur is scared of losing her brother, and would do anything to protect him even if that meant leaving Creekclan and the life she’s built there. She wouldn’t tell anyone this, especially not him or Robinclaw, but for different reasons.Honeynose: Honeynose acts more foolish than he is because he feels like if he isn’t charming he has no redeeming values. He isn’t very good at hunting or fighting and though his name was meant for his keen sense of smell, sometimes he has trouble picking different cat’s scents apart.Goldenkit: One time she play wrestled with a mouse even tho u aren’t supposed to ): Don’t tell

5.Guilty pleasures: He actually really enjoys just casual cuddling. Growing up with so many siblings has made it easy, though with certain events he’s shied away from it and now only really cuddles up to Amberleaf. And even that is few and far inbetween because you never know who might be watching.

8. Bad memories/experiences: Oof. What to choose. The worst has to be when the fox attacked he and Robinclaw and then the aftermath. A lot of feelings of abandonment. Petalfrost’s death is also very much up there as he was very much in love with her. She was his strength and his confidence and then she was gone.

10. Fears/phobias: Being forgotten/abandoned

5.Guilty pleasures: Rolling in long grass. She loves the way it feels on her pelt and how it tickles her nose. Sometimes you just gotta roll around.

Literally any amount of compliments or praise. It always surprises and flusters her.

Ever since she first saw cats dip their heads respectfully to Dapplestar it’s become almost ingrained in her to dip her head at the start of conversations with just about every cat. At first she thought it was a clan greeting, now she just can’t stop.

15. What it takes to make them cry

Bringing up her past when she’s not expecting it. It’s part of why she keeps that part of her life so closely guarded. She knows it would tear her open raw for someone to talk to her about it when she’s not mentally prepared.

Circe had a mate named Midnight, the two were very much in love. You could imagine Circe’s joy when she found out Midnight was pregnant - she was beyond overjoyed.

However Midnight was already beginning to fall out of love with Circe, they had rushed into things pretty quickly after all. And she realized she didn’t want to raise her kits in the wild. Behind Circe’s back she cozied up to some twolegs and literally the day before they would take her away she dropped this bomb on Circe and left her.

Circe was devastated. The fact that Midnight had done all this behind her back. The fact that she was never going to see her kits. It tore her apart. There was a long time where she was bitter and hurting and lashing out... those were dark times.

Needless to say she’s doing somewhat better now.

when i started shipping it

i can’t remember exact details, but i vaguely recall a baby shadepelt thinking of or calling tawnyleap pretty, and...really, that was all i needed. it was too sweet to resist.

my thoughts

i adore tawnyleap and shadepelt together so much...seeing them become friends back in their apprentice days was undeniably sweet. they were both sort of odd in their own ways, shadepelt a kittypet turned warrior and tawnyleap, well...she was her awkward goblin self dealing with an array of family issues. they really just pair together well, to me, and it’s obvious to see how much shadepelt cares for tawnyleap and how much tawnyleap in turn adores him. they’re happy together and i love it.

what makes me happy about them

the fact that they’ve started their own little family is SO sweet and precious...they’re both a bit young, yes, but i genuinely think that they’re ready and capable of handling kits. they both want to have them, and i think that desire will help make them good parents even though they’re a bit more inexperienced than older clanmates would be. seeing the family portrait marlee drew of tawnyleap having her own kits now just...really got to me, okay?? okay??? i remember when she was just a BABY...

what makes me sad about them

honestly, nothing? like, a part of what makes me love tawnyshade so much is that they aren’t a couple ridden with angst and drama. they’re simple, they’re sweet, they genuinely love each other, and though they can certainly have problems to work through, they’ve never been at odds with each other or done much to make me sad about them / their relationship.

who i’d be comfortable with them ending up with

i don’t particularly ship either of them with any other cats, but some wildcard pairings...shadepelt and mintwhisker could’ve been cute, i think, with shadepelt being all flustered when mintwhisker slapped down all his charm. as for tawnyleap...it’s really hard for me to picture her with anyone other than shadepelt, honestly. i feel like a lot of other cats wouldn’t be able to understand her in the way that he does. 

who is the big spoon / little spoon

tawnyleap is absolutely the big spoon. she takes her dumb lil kittypet husband and wraps him all up in her insanely long legs when they cuddle up together.

what is their favorite activity

snuggling...shadepelt loves how warm and comfortable it makes him feel, and for tawnyleap, it’s a reminder that there’s someone out there who genuinely loves her, who wants to be at her side, whose desires are as simple as just cuddling up with her and being happy.

In Hunk’s defense, he didn’t know the knife was that important. He knew Keith always had it with him, but he always figured it was because it was a useful tool. The red paladin had stayed in a shack in the middle of the desert for a year, if Hunk had been in that situation he’d be sure to carry a knife around as well. Even as an engineer he made sure his utility belt was full of tools just in case he needed to use them in a pinch. Surely there were times when Keith was in his shack that he had to… stab something? Or maybe he just needed to cut some food, knives had more than one use after all.

It wasn’t like he really talked to the guy, all he knew was what Lance told him. That being that he was a show-off, rude, and had the worst hairstyle (Hunk actually liked the so-called “mullet” but he would never tell his best friend.) Meeting Keith didn’t do too much to change this opinion as he was pretty standoffish, usually sitting away from them with his armed crossed. How was he supposed to get to know someone when they barely even talked outside of missions?

In other words, Hunk finds himself in possession of Keith’s favorite knife and doesn’t know how to return it without getting stabbed.
