Quarantäne #3

Der Gang zum Supermarkt erinnert an die Zeit während des kalten Kriegs. Auch wenn ich sie nicht erlebt habe, aber mein heutiges Bild von spanischen Soldaten vor den Eingangstüren des Mercadona ähnelt in meinem Gefühl der Situation, als das amerikanische Militär am Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin stationiert war. Der Coronavirus ist auch eine Art Krieg, jedoch ohne die herkömmlichen Waffen. Es ist ein stiller Krieg, eine Weltkrise, die die Menschen mit angespannten Gesichtern an den Kassen stehen lässt, mit dem Zwang, genug Abstand zu anderen zu halten und bloß nichts falsch zu machen. Vielleicht sind einige der Kunden zuversichtlich und weniger besorgt als andere, aber die drastischen Maßnahmen der Regierung sind ihnen allen ins Gesicht gestempelt. Und mittendrin stehe ich mit meinen Tampons, die es mir ermöglicht haben, heute für eine halbe Stunde aus dem Plattenbau-Appartement zu flüchten und in die Welt hinaus zu gehen. Selbst wenn es nur ein paar hundert Meter sind.

Und immer wieder schweift mein Blick vom Fenster zu meinem schwarzen Aluminiumkoffer, an dessen Griff noch das Ticket vom Januar hängt, als ich nach Portugal flog, um mit dem Fernbus weiter nach Spanien zu fahren. Und mir graut es vor dem Gedanken, dieses herunter reißen zu müssen, um Platz für ein neues für den Rückflug zu machen. Vielleicht wird es in den nächsten Tagen so kommen. Vielleicht ist sehr wahrscheinlich, doch wahrscheinlich nur eine Vermutung. Und in diesen Zeiten kann man nichts mit Sicherheit sagen. Ich werde also morgen entscheiden, ob ich zurück reise, aus der spanischen Quarantäne ausreiße und in Deutschland dann möglicherweise wieder dem Ausgang verwehrt bin. Doch mit dem Unterschied, dass ich Zuhause bin. Denn ein Zuhause gibt einem das Gefühl von Sicherheit. Nicht das spanische Militär in den Straßen, nicht die Bundeskanzlerin während ihrem Appell an die Nation, nicht meine Au Pair Agentur in ihrer Rundmail oder meine Gastfamilie, die nach wie vor die Ruhe in Person ist.

There are new measures which only slightly change those currently in force.

In the municipalities included in health districts with alert levels 4 and 3, the existing measures remain the same; and in municipalities included in health districts with alert level 2 or lower, the hours of shops, activities and services (including hotels) are extended until 9:30 p.m. To see the alert level of your municipality and its restrictions, you can access the web mapacovid.com

Curfew: In Andalusia there is no change, the curfew continues from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Meetings: The maximum number of people who can be in a social group has been set at 6, except inside hotel and restaurant premises, where the limit remains at 4 people

Bars, restaurants and shops: As for the restaurants and hotels, their hours will depend, from now on, on the level at which each municipality is located. For those who are in level 2, the commerce and hospitality industry will extend their hours starting on Friday, March 5 2021, and may open until 9:30 p.m. and the sale of alcohol in stores is also allowed until this time.

University: face-to-face activity will be allowed at the University who are in level 2 or lower.

Mobility: It has been agreed to maintain the perimeter closure of the 8 provinces (Málaga, Cádiz, Huelva, Seville, Córdoba, Jaén, Granada and Almería) and the land limits of the Andalusia region itself, with the sole exception of being able to go out and enter for just cause. Mobility between provinces has also been restricted, as well as the closure of non-essential activity in certain municipalities in which the limits of the infection rates are exceeded.

The levels will be reviewed every week. These measures come into effect on March 5, 2021 at 00h

Quarantäne #4

Die Welt steht still. 17.000 Menschen in Spanien sind infiziert. Mehr als 600 sind verstorben. Jeden Abend stehe ich, wie all meine Nachbarn hier im Wohnblock, am Fenster und bin berührt von der gemeinsamen Quarantäneaktion. Es läuft Musik, die Leute singen und klatschen. Man macht sich Mut. “Si, se puede”, rufen sie. Wir schaffen das. Wir bleiben in den Wohnungen, sitzen es aus. Es ist das Beste, was wir tun können. Sogar ich als Ausländerin fühle mich als ein Teil der Gemeinschaft. Schließlich sitzen wir alle im selben Boot. Gerne würde ich später sagen, ich habe diese Zeit durchgestanden. Doch am Ende bringt es mir nichts, wenn ich es nicht möchte. Ich gehe zurück nach Deutschland, breche ab. Vorerst. Hauptsache nach Hause. Auch wenn die Situation in Deutschland nicht viel besser ist als hier in Spanien, fühlt es sich richtig an. Das Bauchgefühl entscheidet für mich sonst nie, doch diesmal ist es anders. Ich habe keine Angst, aber ich fühle mich nicht wohl. 

Die nächsten Wochen hier in diesem kleinen Appartement ohne Ausgang und mit streitenden, gelangweilten Kids: nein. Das Abenteuergefühl ist vorbei. Sonst bin ich nur in der Wohnung, wenn ich arbeite. Aber sobald ich kann, bin ich draußen, die Gegend erkunden, durch die Straßen laufen, Konversationen lauschen und nur die Hälfte verstehen. Es ist diese Leichtigkeit, die nun in gruselige Anspannung überging. Von heute auf morgen. Ich vermisse das spanische Leben. 

Und meine Familie sitzt auf Kohlen. Wann kommt die Ausgangssperre in Deutschland? Kann ich problemlos einreisen? Muss ich in Quarantäne, weil ich aus dem Risikogebiet Madrid komme? Wird mein Flug vielleicht doch noch ganz gestrichen? Ich habe keine Antworten. Und manchmal muss ich das auch nicht. Ich werde es schon sehen. Doch sobald ich im Flieger von Madrid nach Frankfurt sitze, werde ich mich wohler fühlen.
