I saw a post here that talked about what would happen to amethyst and jade when it's superheated. Apparently, jade darkens, and amethyst turns to a synthetic citrine. Soooo.....this was fun to draw. thank you, @fluidstatick
just a quick sketch xD can you tell that I enjoyed rendering the citrine?

the roleplay after Ashton shattered, underneath the math and the yelling:-
Imogen gently grabbing Orym's arm, "We should get out of this bubble,"
Laudna vehemently, "I agree,"
Imogen focusing on Orym, who isn't responding, shaking his arm, voice thick, "Orym, we need to get out,"
Orym saying, softly disbelieving, "No, no, no, no, why..."
Imogen telling Orym, "If that happens for real, we're all dead," then letting go of his arm
Orym, softly, "Why? Why did he..."
FCG whispering, "It's his destiny,"
Laudna grabbing Imogen and Chetney and pulling them back with her, leaving Orym and the healers
Orym starting to back away, slowly, 'probably not fast enough'

I kept picturing what was happening with Ashton last episode and saw this picture and thought "okay, this is perfect" so here's a little WIP for Ashton's badass moment, just hoping I can finish it cause I really like where this is going at the moment.

Major cr3e77 spoilers!!

“I have no reason to touch the side of your face while doing this but I’m gunna touch the side of your face” Laura Bailey bless you. The reason was for the gays and we love you for it
Ok I had to make a real quick sketch of these two because that episode shaved off like 5 years of my life.
I really don’t believe that if they get rid of Delilah Laudna would die. I don’t trust a word Delilah says and she obviously wouldn’t be like “Yea you could totally just get rid of me and be fine.” She’s smart and manipulative so anything she says is calculated and directly benefits her. I just really hope they figure something out because I will crumble to dust if Laudna dies.
Also Imogen talking to the Gods??? That was amazing it just shows how desperately Imogen loves Laudna. She would really do anything for her. Matt implying that the Matron of Ravens was listening was also super cool but I won’t survive another Vax situation so :,)
The whole Ashton thing has been talked about so much so all I’ll say about it is damn and I’m excited to see everyone’s reactions next week. How Ashton treated Fearne did upset me though. She gives so much love and compassion so for her to have to go through THAT just makes me angry.
AND ONE LAST THING I’ve been waiting for a conversion like the one Orym and Fearne had for AGESSS so that was great to see.

Don't get me wrong, the beginning of episode four of EXU Calamity was worse but this is becoming a close second place for weirdest minute of time in a D&D game.
#critical role#bell's hells#cr3e77#cr spoilers#cr lb#also exu calamity was a second where this is however many seconds this will ultimately be

Having now seen the episode, people are stupid. Ashton absorbing the titan shard is easily one of the most awesome things in the campaign so far and an absolutely perfect character turn. That was easily one of the most exciting CR episodes and I cannot wait for this fallout.

Connecting some dots together
Ashton said he was gonna read up on what happened to Whitestone/ VM 'last' night - they obviously followed through given the changed attitude towards Percy
That would have included Vax's story - which could be read as, Vax sacrificed himself to the Raven Queen, got enough power to save everyone he loved (and also the world), and he was *remembered* for it, lovingly and sometimes angrily (a legacy, if you will)
Next morning, Ashton told the others
This is the last that we're going to have before everything goes some sort of well, some sort of bad...
Before a big job, back when the Nobodies were running, we would always... have a good time, remind ourselves that we all like each other, or at least love each other if we don't like each other.
Because, you know, it's going to be rough and people are going to do stupid shit and you're going to have to remember not to murder them.
Then, looking at the monument to VM that is the clock tower
We should do a puppet show... this is too fucking much.
Somehow, in trying to take Vax's example, Ashton is being *the most* like Percy, at his self-destructive considering-selling-his-soul-to-save-his-brother-while-telling-himself-he'll-be-able-to-get-out-of-it-somehow worst

Okay, but listen. Ashton taking the shard, knowing it would be dangerous but not knowing by how much, because they didn’t want to burden anyone else with it. Pulling away from the group so that they wouldn’t stop him. Assuming he had ways to handle it on their own only for every last one to fail him. Assuming they knew what pain felt like and that he could handle it only for a whole new level to be revealed to them. On the brink of collapse as his family rushes up to keep them together. Literally watching them fall to pieces before their eyes and having to do whatever they can just to keep him from losing himself entirely. Saving them through their relentless and stubborn love as they refuse to leave his side. And then being reborn as something new, still clearly damaged but also more whole than they were before.
It’s just—you can fit so much goddamn symbolism in this game, you guys!
