“Detectives Witness Craig Street Robbery,” Montreal Gazette. August 5, 1942. Page 9. --- Alleged to have attacked and robbed a citizen in plain sight of two night patrol detectives. John LaIonde; alias Marshall, 24. of Shawinigan Falls. Que., was arraigned in court yesterday a few hours after the robbery with violence of which he was accused. His trial was adjourned to August 11. 

Det. Sgts. W. Laurendeau and Gerald Lawton on patrol along Craig street reported that they saw Arthur Mailloux, 55. 951 City Hall avenue, attacked and robbed of $10 early yesterday morning. The detectives swept their patrol car around and approached the footpad and his victim. The attacker turned to run but was headed off by Laurendeau into the hands of Lawton. Both officers grappled with their prisoner who was finally subdued. 

Following the events at Craig street and Perreault Lane, the prisoner was moved to Police Headquarters nearby. He refused to identify himself for a short period and then finally gave his name as Lalonde and Marshall. Searched before being placed in a cell, he placed a paper, apparently a small envelope, in his mouth. Attempts to make him cough it up failed and the accused was finally booked for court arraignment. Mailloux. the victim, was reported uninjured by the blow which felled him.

is it bad my headcanon malik paterson voice (i bought validate like a week ago yayyyy) is toonarifictariq. that’s the specific voice tone, cadence, and mood i imagine him talking in.

like...i know dani lalonders was a former (still current? idk) homestuck and malik was probably partially inspired by both dirk and dave strider but...toonarifictariq has a good voice for both characters if i recall correctly and so he’d fit for malik as well

if we’re talking celebrity voice actors then craig robinson, who has a resting chill voice and definitely can pull of the range and emotion of malik i’m pretty sure, would be a good candidate for a voice actor. (craig robinson is most well known for playing daryl philbin on the office but i most recently know him from...the bad guys because i’m into cartoons and am a furry)
