did yall know without his vision, niko's meka leg would not function at all

he can use the energy to keep the leg standing but he can't control it, rendering it immobilised

so yes, his vision is crucial for his physical mobility and if it weren't for wrio, he wouldn't be able to walk (at least in a more efficient way) at all👍

#im thinking abt it tbh #he lost his leg to a treasure hoarder while running away from them #and aarush was only able to keep the bleeding stopped #the adrenaline he experienced managed to help him crawl his way far enough while aarush distracted them #but in the end he wasnt able to move and had to rely on aarush's supplies to survive for a few days #until he made a new leg for himself ofc #while the vision did comes at the wrong time it did give him the ability to use his new leg #in a more efficient way #celestia said 'yes go commit crime'#if he had to take his leg for repair tho he'd use a wheelchair #oc: niko #.txt

#i mean i am REALLY good at cashiering that seems like a bizarre brag but it’s just the truth #im incredibly fast and efficient and bag everything in a specific system etc . i guess my autism is my superpower. But also why i’m terrible #with customer service …it makes me so sick and upset and viscerally uncomfortable i want to crawl out of my skin my entire shift to be hones #it makes me feel like a wind up toy and majority of the time when people talk to me it feels as if there’s a glass wall in between us . Well #😁👍i just get really really stoned every single day at work so i can seem like a human i guess . But then im chatty cathy and you pull my #string and i keep going!!! and i can’t stop and im too autistic to realize people are sick of me. But when i’m not stoned i’m like #basically nonverbal. Sometimes when i’m at work it feels like i can’t even open my mouth to speak . it happens ourside of work too ofc but #work like. puts me IN that situation constantly. forerunner for my most irritating trait is that i was spoiled by the metro in shanghai so whenever i'm in toronto and have to take the ttc i act like an undercover prince desperately who wants to appear normal but has only ever traveled anywhere by horse-drawn carriage

#shanghai was great it was efficient it was colour coded it (mostly) didn't shriek like we were gonna wreck there were 0 rats unfortunately #once i had a full panic attack like florence pugh in midsommar levels and nobody batted an eye at me. it was CLEAN....#the ttc has the vibe that a fully grown badger is going to crawl out from under the seats and maul me #(why are there so many weird stains on the seats)#and i do say this affectionately #also the ttc at its loudest has nothing on shanghai metro line 11 #you straight up could not hear on that thing. no music no podcasts. if you want to have a convo with a friend you're better off texting #because otherwise you're shouting over the train going warp speed under xujiahui to your friend a foot away from you #the 2? also loud. my least favourite. inexplicably dingy #this is a pointless text post

I love falling asleep to the natural ambient night sounds of nocturnal animals <3 (mice in my kitchen doing god knows what like seriously how does an animal that small make so much fucking noise)

#I need to sort out this mouse issue somehow T_T #this is the 4th time I’ve had an infestation in two years #(my house is old and has a weird crawl space that mice can easily enter through)#I’ve just been catching and releasing them down the road the past couple times #it’s really time consuming :( but I don’t like killing them #like they’re just little guys…not their fault my kitchen is full of snackies for them to steal #if anyone has recommendations for fast efficient and ethical mouse removal methods let me know lol

my sister’s boyfriend wants me to stop rapidly crawling over furniture while navigating the house because he hates efficiency an he’s jealous of my spider-like agility and limbs

#the quickest path to your destination is a straight line bro #logic is on my side #he's just envious of my skill at scuttling and rapid crawling #and the fact that my hands and feet are both strong and tiny #so that i can scuttle right across the countertops without displacing the kitchenware #also not my problem that my small body makes dog beds cozy and suited to my curled form #or that i make barely a lump under a couch blanket rendering me invisible to his inferior vision #maybe if he exercised more situational awareness #he wouldn't scream like a little girl at 3am #when i wake up from napping in the dog bed under the kitchen table #and rapidly and efficiently scuttle across the kitchen over the counter and then over the couch to where my phone is charging #is it my fault that my limbs are limber and my movements swift?#does the fault lie with my sensitivity to light that moves me to dark places?#no it's clearly not any of those things #no one else in this household screams like they're being ax murdered when i get up to fetch my phone

had a very sucky day. im not feeling great and like i might be heading towards some emotional crisis.

god i am so glad this dude sin't really a coworker of mine. i would habve a mental breakdown or straight up get a new job. hes not even an asshole, he is just so annoying and obnocious and somehow a smug bastard and a clown at the same time

idk how they did it but cult of the lamb is just so hard to put down. i think it's the incredibly juicy feedback for literally everything (particles! cute funny sounds! filled up the meter now it's empty again! lizard brain go brrr) + how extremely short the gameplay loops are (5-15min runs, 8 min days, most minigames are like 10-30sec with the exception of knucklebones which is like 1-2mins) + how despite having limited content they really stretch the replayability and give you tons of unlockable stuff as rewards. it's TIGHT and very impressive

#particularly the short loops are very impressive to me. and the way the dungeon loop and sim loop work together so well.#in many ways it really feels like a highly polished evolution of the systems in stardew valley #which imo sdv can start to feel grindy and obviously its combat/dungeon crawling suuuucks #as well as the quests being a little clunky. and despite the 'chill' reputation and theme i definitely am the kind of player who plays like #constantly moving Make Every Second Count! Maximum Efficiency!! which i think the game systems sort of encourage with the seasonal changes #and timed things like events and birthdays. as well as the length of in game days (15ish mins).#whereas the lack of timed event pressure in cotl plus the short days lets me actually chill and not worry about spending time poorly #they still have the day count for speedrunners but i never had to be like 'oh no day 62 is coming up i need to make sure i have x by then'#stardew walked so cotl could run. is that an unpopular opinion?#(don't get me wrong i love stardew and it's certainly also impressive as one dev's longterm passion project)

Part of why Kaeya has no qualms about rushing headfirst into danger and why he is so disinclined to go see a Vision-wielding healer has to do with his nature as Khaenri’ahn. While the traces of the curse bestowed upon his lineage is not as advanced as that of others, thanks in part due to his father, he still feels constant and sharper flares of pain because of it, especially whenever he delves closer/further in Abyss-infested areas and the longer he lingers near/around them. Especially whenever he uses his own Vision and/or has the effects of one imbued upon him.

For this reason, most sensations people would find agonizing tend to be something Kaeya actively seeks out, finding typical ones do not register to him so easily. If he can find something that really smarts compared to what the curse makes him feel, that he can focus on instead of it, he can have some twisted semblance of coping and controlling his pain, in his mind. Especially if he can find ways to get it treated and actually feel the relief of such.
