CRCB Barracks: The Layout

Okay, here's the first in my series of screenshots of The Barracks as I built them in the Sims 4.

I built this on the 50x40 lot in Newcrest, but it will fit on a 40x30 lot. It is on the gallery under CRCB Barracks or, (because the gallery works half the time at best) you can search my creator name Rory-Frost6 and find it there. You'll have to check the "Include Custom Content" button for some reason, and I did use the move objects cheat. If you're going to play using it, you'll want to widen the bathroom a bit so they can get into the shower in the rooms with private bathrooms. There's space to do that. otherwise everything should work.

I tried to use Base Game only stuff for the wallpaper/floors and the basic furniture stuff. Some stuff, like the utility closet, laundry room, large communal bathroom, and the decorations are from different packs just for the purposes of variety/including those details, and showcasing the guys' personalities in their rooms (as well as the reader's). I tried not to use too many packs (and failed).

It is purposefully supposed to be very plain and dull and boring. Of course, you can decorate and change things however you want, I just tried to make it as realistic as possible. And of course, because it is the Sims, just pretend all the wood grains/colors match.

(Also please forgive my lack of skills at taking screenshots 😭)

Here is the layout. You're getting one photo in Winter because I forgot the save I used to build it in was in the middle of winter. (also yes, the rec room is slightly wider than the rest because it was too cramped)

And here's what it looks like from the outside. Yes, very boring on purpose.

CRCB Barracks: The Main Areas

Okay, here is part 2 of the CRCB Barracks in the Sims 4. Here are the main areas like the rec room, the bathrooms, the meeting room, the storage and utility closest, as well as sort of POV shots of the hallways.

First we have the most important room, the rec room. It's purposefully dark and plain (and ignore the frosted windows it was winter 😭) Also ignore the weird angle, I couldn't get good POV shots inside either. I used one of the actual game tables if you'd like to utilize it. In the fic, that table gets stored away and the chairs to it are folding chairs (folding chairs in the Sims are included in a pack). It's all Base Game so you won't lose any of it if you don't have any packs.

Next are the communal bathrooms that Gaz and Soap primarily use. (Also at a weird angle sorry) The stalls and showers are from Discover University.

On the topic of bathrooms, here's what the private bathrooms in the rooms look like. All three look like this, they're pretty basic. All base game stuff too.

Here is the meeting room where the scenting happened and also where the boys have their debriefs. (It's again at a weird angle cause I wasn't happy with the POV shots 😭) The two monitors on the one wall are from Strangerville, otherwise it's all base game.

Next is the laundry room. Of course, it's all from the laundry pack. Washing machines are in the first shot, dryers in the second.

And now some POV shots of the hallways. First is walking in from the main entrance.

Next is looking down the hallway where the rec room/communal bathrooms and secondary entrance are.

Next is looking down the hallway where the offices are. Price's office is the last door on the right.

And finally, the hallway where the laundry room door and emergency exit are. (That dark section at the very back of the first photo)

And lastly, the two least important rooms, the storage room and the utility closet. Both use items from various packs, but they're not really that important lol. Mostly just included for detail. Also again, awkward shots because I'm incompetent and screenshots are hard.

CRCB Barracks: The Reader's Room

So here's a look at both the spare room and the reader's room. I'm including the spare room in this bit because that is basically what the reader's room looked like when she first arrived at the barracks. I used a lot of packs for the decorations, but the furniture is base game, as well as a couple decorations. Of course, if you're going to play, you can decorate it however you'd like. I just kind of used what was available and what I thought fit the look best. It's not an exact replica (of course) but it's a pretty good idea of what the room looks like. (And again, pretending the wood is all the same color lol)

First up the spare room (aka what the reader's room kinda looked like). First shot is looking in from the door, second is from the bed. The furniture layout was slightly different than the reader's room (and of course there's no bathroom in this one) but it's more to just give an idea of how plain and basic the room was.

And then what the reader's room actually looks like after it's decorated. I'd say this is about what it looks like circa Chapter 11, of course more will be added in the future, but as of the time of when this is posted, this is what it looks like.

CRCB Barracks: The Offices

And last but certainly not least, we have the office spaces. Price's Office, Ghost's office, and the spare office that Gaz and Soap use on occasion. Sorry some of these are awkward screenshots, it's hard to screenshot tiny spaces accurately lol. Again, most of it is base game except for the decorations and detailed stuff. I did use some unlockable content for the decorations so you might have to do some cheating for these.

First up the shared office space. Ignore the background I had to put the walls half up to get a good general shot from the doorway. The artwork on the walls is really just random lol it looked too bare.

Next up is Ghost's office. Pretty basic (as expected). He doesn't use it a lot (which is why we haven't really seen it in the fic yet) usually only before and after missions and deployments. (Agan, Soap painted the artwork for him). Like Price, he probably has more awards and such on the wall but those are hard to convey in the Sims.

And last but not least, Price's office. It's a bit more cramped in the Sims than I imagine it being in the fic. it's just a little more spacious. The couch of course has pillows and a blanket on it, as we know. Also yes, he does have a dog calendar. He thinks it's neat. Probably has more photos and awards on the wall, but alas those are hard to really convey in the Sims.

CRCB Barracks: Ghost and Soap's Rooms

Next are Ghost and Soap's rooms across the hall from Price, the reader, and Gaz. Again, lots of packs used for details, but the basics are base game.

First up Ghost, who also has his own bathroom. Pretty basic, but he has a few personal items in there. And yes, the mural above the bed was done by Soap 😉(it's from the werewolf pack 😂)

And artsy boy Soap's room. His was arguably the easiest to do and probably is the messiest out of all of them (besides the reader we know she's a little goblin lmaoo)

CRCB Barracks: Gaz and Price's Rooms

Here the layout is pretty much the same as the reader's because they're on the same side of the hallway. Of course, decorations-wise I used a lot of different packs, but furniture is still all base game.

Price's room up first. He's got a bathroom just like the reader. Of course, imagine the bed is a little bit bigger (more full size than a twin) but Sims is limited on bed size lol. Pretty basic and plain, I think he keeps more in his office lol.

Gaz's room. He does not have a bathroom, and the room is slightly smaller than the three that do have bathrooms.

(Of course he gotta have that skin care stuff in there 🤭)

CRCB Barracks Floor Plan

Okay, so I drew up the floor plan of the barracks so everyone can get a feel for the layout of things. I'm creating it in the Sims, I just have to decorate and everything before I upload it to the gallery and such. I'll work on that tomorrow my eyes are tired lol. But here's a rough sketch of the floor plan, you'll see furniture layouts and such once I finish in the Sims. (Don't worry, I'll upload screenshots too 😉)

Don't judge my crappy drawing skills lol I can't draw a straight line to save my soul 😂 could I have used a ruler? Sure, but I was being lazy and didn't want to dig one out.

The main entrance is the one that's used pretty much all the time when I'm talking about them entering and leaving the barracks. The main entrance gets used the most because of its convenience in regards to other places they go on base. The smoking area is outside the side entrance, and that's about all that door gets used for.

Soap and Gaz share the spare office when they need it, usually for writing reports and such. Debriefs happen in the meeting room. There's toilets and showers in the communal bathroom, and Gaz and Soap are really the only two that use it, though Ghost occasionally will (That first Ghoap smut scene happens in the communal bathroom 👀)

That's about all I can think of at the moment about the barracks. Of course you can ask anything you might be curious about or have questions on and I'll do my best to answer.

I can draw up a sort of what I imagine the layout of the base looking like too, if anyone's interested. At least, the buildings frequented the most and where they are in relation to the barracks.

I have a question. Since Soap does art, if he were to do a small painting or drawing for Price to hang in his office, what would it be? Asking for research purposes 👀

Hmm I'd say a landscape. Price seems like a landscape man. Honestly I think he'd be proud of anything Soap made him, but if he were requesting something? Probably a landscape.

Lol I saw this ask when I was doing the screenshot posts and I immediately thought of the landscape picture in Price's office from Henford-On-Bagley (in the second screenshot of Price's office) and I was like...Soap painted that for him 😂

Cherry Red, Crimson Blood Masterlist

Summary: Task Force 141 operates successfully without an omega, at least that’s what Price has been saying since its formation. Two alphas and two betas balance the pack just fine, and they have the numbers to prove it.

It works for a while, until the Omega Initiative is born and the 141 find themselves having to adjust to the sudden addition of an omega to their pack. Fresh out of an institute, you’re hardly fit for their secretive, dangerous world, or so Price thinks. 

As each member of the team gets closer to you, things begin to come to light, not only about you but about the decision to force you into their lives.

Maybe, just maybe, Price was wrong and the 141 does need an omega after all.
