God I hope the Walldians don’t f*cking adopt Garbage Braun at the end. I’d be more depressed at that than my remaining faves dying TBH, ☹️
Cue Levi actually adopting Garbage and all his fangirls suddenly turning on him for being a weasel

OKAY. The Alliance.....
As someone who really hates that this was the manga’s endgame, the fan nickname “Cringevengers” is VERY apt for what Isayama settled for with this fucking finale.
There’s so much wrong with the victims of Marley’s rampage aligning with and FORGIVING the people who triggered Eren’s gradual descent into madness in the first place. And it’s an entirely unrealistic outcome even if they were uniting to fight an even deadlier adversary. Apparently it’s okay that you slaughtered thousands of our own if only after you’ve been encountered by the consequences of your actions that you’re REALLY REALLY sorry about it. For so long as it is convenient to get yourself out alive anyway, right?
I’m mostly shooting down Marley’s side of this debacle but here’s my take on the final eleven here. I’ll try to keep them brief.
Tumblr media
Jean Kirstein: Gradually became less important as the series wore on. I’m not even sure why the Warriors made it a point to rescue him from the Yeagerists. His connections to everyone, notably his active crush Mikasa just hold no weight in the ending. I honestly wouldn’t have mourned for very long if he died when Titanized.
Connie Springer: Most useless member of the 104th. No plot, no real motivations, gradually forgot about his best friend Sasha and barely had the reaction you’d expect of him from that atrocity. The dude has had the least impact on the overall story among the survivors of the 104th, and he should have died long ago. I will forever stand firm that it should have been him that died on that blimp. Connie would have been no big loss whatsoever.
Hange Zoe: She REALLY got done dirty in this season. Made out to look like a totally incompetent commander who failed to anticipate the Yeagerist coup against her own unit. Erwin Smith would not have been so late to realize what was coming. But even then, Hange was the only light left in the series at the end, and she ended up sacrificing herself for absolutely fucking nothing. Any redeeming value the finale might’ve had DIED WITH HANGE. The last good thing that existed in this series who’s name was not Levi Ackerman.
Levi: The only deserved survival in this series, and even then it does not feel at all fulfilling. Levi deserved a lot better for all the crap he was put through and all the loss he endured. And unfortunately, not even Captain Levi “Fuck You” Ackerman can save Attack on Titan from its worst villain: Hajime Isayama.
Mikasa: Went from the most badass heroine of the series to the most pathetically one-dimensional. We knew she wasn’t going to die before slaying Eren, nobody believed that for a moment I bet. But with how much she was defined solely by Eren, even as he committed himself to a literal holocaust, she might as well have died with him because Mikasa Ackerman ain’t worth shit without her crutch, Eren. She had the potential to be a far more interesting character but season four failed to realize that lethality in combat alone does NOT equate to a compelling character. And how many times did she express horror at the necessity of killing Eren? And what was the value of her royal bloodline in Hizuru? I get a headache just thinking about Mikasa now.
Reiner: Absolutely worthless in season four, all this talk about him having a split personality deciding between right and wrong between Marley and Paradis? Doesn’t amount to anything. Pretty much got replaced by his MUCH LESS appealing bitch of a cousin. He absolutely should’ve died in battle, as that was the only way he could ever atone for all the lives he took in provoking Eren, but giving up his. Reiner’s survival was most definitely NOT earned.
Annie: I don’t why people still love her. Eight years spent in crystal in anime time? Too little too late to be making up for her lack of character growth now. By the time of her return she is nothing more than a tagalong and should’ve been replaced by another character. She should’ve been eaten by someone and her Titan claimed by another inheritor because there’s literally no point to her still hanging about. And then there’s what she said to Hitch about the crimes she committed. Someone who says they’d do it again if they had to is not only clearly unrepentant, but is someone who absolutely did NOT earn their survival either.
Armin: “You became a mass murderer to save us. Thank you”. That is all. Also FUCK YOU, Erwin really should have been given the Colossal Titan. Fight me on that.
Gabi: Unquestionably the most UNNECESSARY little bitch to ever plague any form of fiction. Nothing Gabi adds is anything new to the series and the price paid to bring her into the main fold of the story most definitely was not worth it  There is no way anyone can take seriously the image of some stupid suicidal twelve year old with a fucking rifle standing among warriors she has somehow outperformed even though they are bonafide veterans with years on her arrogant little ass. Gabi’s story has no valid payoff in the end by this stage in the story and is the worst equipped to fight Eren by far. There are no remaining excuses for what she did to Sasha, and the ending did not validate either Sasha’s demise or Gabi essentially stealing all the focus from her opposite, Eren. Sasha would’ve been an infinitely more reliable asset in the battle having the same skill set as Gabi AND the skill to kill Titans. A lot of time wasted so we can see the little shit who sent Eren over the edge get rewarded for having inadvertently helped him to trigger the apocalypse. In short, she came out of the story almost the same as when she entered with very little consequence for any of it. Virtually unscathed. Seeing this stupid child stand among seasoned veterans from both sides with a big fucking gun might very well be the most ridiculous image to be found anywhere in this season. Her story sucks, her voice sucks, she is nothing more than a crass excuse to push Sasha out of the picture, and she screwed the human race. Isayama, you and Gabi can both go to Hell.
Falco: Literally a Chekhov’s Gun. He is an unnecessary inheritor of the Jaw Titan for the even more unnecessary Porco Galliard, making him the second replacement from the infinitely more interesting Ymir to whom he had no valid connection whatsoever. I’ve spoken more than once about how fucked up the Jaw Titan’s story is when you actually stop to examine how it played out, but from what corner of Isayama’s ass did he pull out this crap about Falco being able to summon Zeke’s Titan abilities on top of his Jaw Titan abilities through the spinal fluid he had been infected with? Far too late in the game to be bringing up a power that had not been hinted at before. Falco may be infinitely more sympathetic and watchable than Gabi, but that does NOT make him a necessary or even good character. And he is not enough to save the show from his worse half. That’s to say nothing of his need to protect a girl who recklessly put his life on the line because she had a death wish. Seriously, I don’t get the appeal of Falbi when it’s no less abusive than Eremika. It almost makes Zutara look more palatable by comparison.
Still a more deserving survival than anyone else on the Warriors’ side though, I guess I’ll give Falco that.
Pieck: She’s the Warriors’ equivalent of Connie. I mean look at her, she’s even standing in the background there like a complete afterthought, because that’s what Pieck is. AN AFTERTHOUGHT. Doesn’t receive a personality or name until the final season, she has no real motivation or backstory, she survives constantly despite being what is explicitly stated to be the weakest of the Nine Titans, even her last name is an indication that she is not meant to be taken seriously. If it weren’t for her cute design, nobody would give a rat’s ass about Pieck. And even then, I think the fans have mistaken her looks as equating to actually having a defined personality to match. Yeah, that’s what we all thought about Mikasa too back in the day. That’s a burn, by the way. And sorry Pikuhan and Jeanpiku fans, I am not going to play nice with you, there is no valid reason to ship Pieck with anybody, any more than there was ever any cause to ship Jean with Mikasa or to ship Chef Plot Device with Sasha. What was his name again, btw? Short and sweet, Pieck’s very existence is a joke.
I think it’s safe to say the alliance is just the final nail in the coffin for all the remaining survivors of significance in this series. There’s so much wrong with how each one of these characters were handled, from the beloved and loathed originals, to the newbies who Isayama was too eager to cram in too late in the game.
The only alliance I am interested in seeing is the one that forces Isayama to declare the entire timeskip non-canon.
This story ended with the Ocean.

I see Levi haters are coming at you today... smh
Let them. But if they have such a hate boner for Levi, why not go to r/Yeagerbomb? Isn't that the best place to hate on the "cringevengers"?

Please I’m so tired of people calling The Alliance “Cringevengers” what’s wrong with trying to save your friend who first of all wants to stop the rumbling but he can’t because he has no choice. Eren literally doesn’t want this to happen y’all get his character so wrong and it’s sad he’s not a “Chad” he’s a broken man who has a lot of burden and wants to be saved. Coming from someone who doesn’t even like him I understand him more than half of you “Edgy Yeagerists”

Welp, if that's how AoT is gonna go, I'm mentally preparing for it to be a worse ending than GoT. The Rumbling should NOT have been that easy to stop, and the Cringevengers should NOT be considered heroes in any way
Go back to rebbit and cry like the manly man you are.

do you think Isayama has been doing a shit job this year? i keep hearing ppl complain and shit on aot after volume 30. meanwhile me who still enjoy this final arc : *insert that green creature from monster inc meme*
but seeing people so disappointed like this really makes me sad and confused?? like idk if I just apparently have a shit taste so i can't tell whether or not this is awful writing? or maybe bc they're objectively right that yams has been writing pile of dogshit this year? maybe ppl who hate this "weakest" stretch from 123-130 just those who hate the alliance and warriors? they say that almost nobody likes the alliance? hm why is that? why do they hate "cringevengers" so much?
isn't there a difference between giving constructive criticism and just throwing hate because your headcanons didn't make it to the actual story?
so those takes really did hurt me and i think it's a bit too disrespectful how they say yams already becomes a shitty writer 😔
This is going to be one of those good news/bad news replies. The bad news first.
I just finished going through some of the poll comments and I did get the vibe that all the various fandom factions are a little more unhappy than usual. I think there are a few things going on with the major one being that this arc is all over the place and the pacing has been especially off. Some recent chapters are so action packed that we can barely breath while others feel like slow and pointless repetition of themes or else too focused on side plots that don’t matter moments later. That is normally forgivable but since we are approaching THE END, more urgency is setting in. We seem to be collectively suffering from the earnest desire to get to the action already but not without our own personal caveats first. We want it to end, but we want it to end “our way”, which is a problem because we all want different things.
People who support Eren ideologically are angry because it feels like the SC may win via unrealistic alliances and forced circumstances (flying titans anyone?). EMAstans are unhappy that Eren is so unyielding and there hasn’t been enough effort to explain him. Some SC fans were unhappy with the “we are the same” talk. Warriorstans didn’t like that either. Bertholt was mentioned 18 times in the write-ins which is more mentions than Mikasa received. People want resolution for him. Zeke and Historia fans are feeling this as well.
The good news is that while we complain, very few people truly think Isayama is a terrible writer or that the series is garbage. Looking at the poll results again, even the worst ranked chapters like 91 and 126 received a median score of 3.5 on the scale of 1-5, still slightly above average. This chapter averaged 4.15. It’s a solid “Good” in the scheme of things.
With our fandom broken into so many distinct and often opposing factions, finishing this series so everyone is happy is impossible. I expect more and more unhappiness from the vocal members of the groups whose head canons go unrealized. Just keep in mind that those people are in the minority no matter how loud they are. While this series is flawed, most of us are still happy to be following it and excited to see where it goes.
Thanks for the ask!

A lot of people have asked about memes recently, and I was kinda reminded: what do you think about Aaron Yoghurt? 😅
I always laugh at that just like i do with Cringevengers.
I actually like him. Find him more human. You can see from his eyes that he is very kind and gentle soul.
As for his regrets, well..i doubt he has none about what he did Now, so it's pretty much the same no matter what he does.

Sayonara, Shingeki no Kyojin
So guys, we did it.
139 chapters later and Attack on Titan has finally ended. Honestly this whole thing has been one hell of a rollercoaster and this ending hits all the good points about the series so far. Reiner finally got a will to live and falcoxgabi is hilariously cute (especially when she flips him). Eren is fucking dead and Mikasa is alone now, and the cringevengers are now the protectors of the rest of the world from Paradis. The yeagerists have won and Historia is being the badass queen she should be leading the army of Paradis. The only thing that I dont like about this ending is that the whole founding titan/centipede thing is just thrown in and never explained.
Overall, Isayama deserves to create his spa from the sweat and tears of this audience cause he has blown this story out of the water from Episode 1. 10/10 would read again.

Well it looks like Aot is gonna end in less than 7 chapters. Lets see how isayama is going to land the ending.
Not expecting much since GabBitch is still alive but if Eren manages to successfully destroy the outside world and/or the Cringevengers, that will be satisfying enough

That time yet?
We finally at the point where people begin to realize season four is a sack of cunt shit? We are coming up on the Cringevengers portion of this miserable season, are we getting close to when people realize a game of thrones ending is all that awaits them? Because Isayama singlehandedly made the human population even more intellectually bankrupt than it already was.

Afterthoughts
(SnK 128)
To the Yeagerists thinking that they can take down both the Armored Titan & the Female Titan, well, hate to reiterate this BUT the last time someone managed to deal the final incapacitating blow to either one of them had been only one person:
Mikasa "BAMF" Ackerman
She, who was worth a hundred soldiers when she was a fresh graduate, at this point would have been worth more than several hundreds of Yeagerists and also fighting together WITH both titans.
"Boo... she's a slave. xx is better than her."
"She's an ice-cold bitch. How dare she treated Louise, a dying girl, like that?"
"How can she feel empathy for people of the world she doesn't even know of personally compared to a girl who worships her & somewhat 'emotionally blackmailed' her dedication towards Eren?"
"How could she work with the same group of people who tried to murder her days before?"
Bashing Mikasa herself as a character is one thing, comparing her to another character is a low blow. She grieved & mourned for Sasha, she's compassionate towards Gabi & Falco. She has compassion and mercy towards people that needs it. Louise is anything but.
Back to the Yeagerists, the trigger-happy bunch needs to hide behind guns & gears they're not even well-adapt on to instil fear, while homegirl need no more than her freaking bare hands to defend herself and fight for what she believes in.
"She's a traitor. She betrayed her own comrades and the people on the island."
Paradis is her home but do you think she'd rather sit quietly, turn a blind eye towards the Yeagerists' drunkenness towards power, ascension towards madness & live with bloods of the many innocents (related or non-related to Eldian history) on her hands? She would rather die fighting for what she believes in, just like how her parents have taught her. Her childhood was first destroyed when selfish, violent humans imposed into her family's home. She's been there at nine years old. Like hell she'll be okay with the Yeagerists' stand. If someone comes into your house to fuck with your freedom/rights, you have the right to defend BUT not to go on a killing spree of all potential criminals out there and take justice into your own hands unless you're Batman. Isn't that what Mikasa & co did when Marley's battalion came days before? Guess what? The battalion left the Warriors and Magath behind & that does not mean JCAM should kill the leftover Marleyans and watch passively as Eren released not a group but ALL of the CTs inside the walls to fuck with the rest of the world.
Tumblr media
Chapter 127 & 128 are displaying the courage Mikasa needed to fight for her own ideals for the first time - even if that means going against Eren's will.
Just saying, some people can go on and on about the tasteless, exhausting slave memes/jokes or their neverending barrage of vitriol against the 'cringevengers' just because they believe in a will that is different than their 'genocidal overlord'.
At this point of his story, Isayama has clearly place both sides on the scale: there are no rights or wrongs, good guys or bad guys as we were initially introduced to. We have seen both perspectives.
If you think because it's fictional, therefore genocide is alright, go on ahead. Though that does not justify the hatred you've been displaying towards the MarleyParadis Alliance.
I understand Eren's drive & actions BUT it does not mean I accept his will. However, that does not justify that I should hate on & attack his character. If you want to project your personal ideals on either side's characters, you are more than welcomed to do so but please have more class than that.
I believe that is the series' creator's intention.
"If Isayama lets the cringevengers win, that is bad writing."
"I hope the cringevengers lose. They're ungrateful for what Eren's doing for them."
"The alliance are a bunch of idiots with no plan."
"Yes it's his series, but as a fan, I deserved the right to express my unhappiness with the way he wrote this and this."
So, you'd rather JCAM just sit on their asses & do nothing?
Eren wins. Freedom for Paradis achieved. Rest of cringevengers settle down & have kids while the rest of the world retaliates in 50 years. Magath, Warriors & co. can die. Ok, The End.
What kind of values do you think Isayama wants to deliver through HIS story?
Reiner & Annie understood that the Warriors have no right to ask JCAM of anything. Reiner even suggested they stay behind in safety so they won't be forced to make that difficult decision like they did. (Look at how far the kids have grown?)
Interesting theme to note: Mercy. Sasha showed Gabi mercy but the same girl that she spared shot her to death. Gabi didn't understand then. Second round, Mikasa showed her mercy and Gabi finally understood. It finally humbled her.
Hate on Hajime Isayama all you want, as everyone can see on BSM's latest cover, the man's filthy rich enough to open his own sustainable business after SnK wraps with the royalty he gets from merchandise, prints and all. His 'bad writing' got him published & he has set his mind on an ending that would hurt some of us. If the alliance loses, Eren perseveres & millions die, it would hurt me so much but I would respect that because that is the route Isayama has chosen. I am already grateful for the opportunity & the experience he had blessed us all with.
Isayama doesn't owe anyone shit. He's a content creator, he is telling HIS story, not yours. As fans, shouldn't you take his material and learn something from it instead of making fun of or hating his decisions? Debate constructively please but stop spreading the hate.
You can choose to opt out of the series, moan all you want but in the end, you'll be the first group of people who would be obsessing with any ounce of spoilers at the beginning of a new month. Stop attacking or provoking people who is 'on the other side' of the ideal you believe in.
I am just someone who wants to share. As fans, we have the right to disagree with some of Isayama's stance/direction but there are always lesson(s) to be learnt:
Respect & Love.
You can love someone & still disagree with their ideals and be on the opposite side. In the end, Mikasa loves herself enough to decide on her own to stop Eren. As fans, stop projecting your hate towards the characters. Learn from them instead.

My big attack on titan review
Tumblr media
Hiroki's ATO Review: Anyone who actually gives a damn about keeping the Characters and their motivations consistent will not like the ending. I'm not particularly big fan of AOT, but there exist a lot of people who have been regularly analyzing the series for years. Just like everyone else I want to express my disappointment on Attack on "Slaves", probably nobody will read this post anyways. Personally find the ending peak comedy.
1) **Who's to blame?**
I don't blame the readers for coming up with all sorts of insane theories, it's the manga's fault for setting up so many mysterious and purposely misleading the readers into believing there's more, but never properly delivering any of them . Of course numerous pseudo-intellectuals are going to tell me "you just don't understand the series/characters" everyone knows that Chadren was a persona he was putting on in order to accomplish the Rumbling, furthermore it wasn't the first time he showed his vulnerable side, you manga readers probably remembers the moment where he cried and at the same time apologized to the boy.
2) ** Eren Yeager **
For a character to do a complete 180 on their most defining character trait, something huge had to happened to have such an impact on them, even if we assume it was just off-screened for no apparent reason, simply means cough bad-writing.
Eren Yeager being a flawless character was no surprise but his character development was astonishing until the latest chapter, utterly butchers his Character and motivations.
Eren never ever seemed to be capable of Romance in the first place, you are telling me the same suicidal blockhead who recklessly charge towards titans and getting everyone around him into trouble was in love with Mikasa all along? even Misaka thought that Eren doesn't seem to like her romantically because of how dismissive he acts towards her throughout the series.
We see him constantly talking about "Fighting" and "moving forward", he keep these inspirational speeches with utmost confidence to the point you can actually feel his convictions to break free from his curse, yet that the selfishness of Eren's character presented post-timeskip amounts to nothing more than him crying, the same person who never really pursued his own freedom at all costs, but rather fought only for the freedom of his couple of friends? False! there are still plenty moments of Eren talking about how important his freedom was above all else and continued to fight for the "hope" or "hell" that awaited at the end of his determination. Isayama wants me to buy the idea that Eren had the balls to take away his mom's freedom but not the others? Someone that is willing to even sacrifice Sasha for his dreams and ambitions make many chapters across the whole series stop being canon.
3) ** The World**
The Titan power, founding etc etc, all these things were necessary in order to give Paradis and Eldians a fair shot at surviving and making peace with the rest of the World. Thanks for Eren getting rid of these things, how much are the odds of them surviving an all-out war against the World? You mean 20% isn't suffice to utterly destroy a defenseless island. You must be really underestimate Humanity or "20%" to think an Island who lacks behind 500 years of technology could ever compare to a country with high advanced technology.
4) **Rumbling**
When Eren started to walk down a darker path in other to achieve freedom and even proposed the plan of Rumbling to the others, it is was Armin, Mikasa and the Cringevenges that said Genocide is wrong, but once he successfully got rid of 80% of the world population they thanked him for being a mass murder? Come on again?
Genocide is wrong, I'm aware of that. However, both sides wants Genocide why is succeeding in that in the wrong? Let me further elaborate on that. Not only Marley but the rest of the World wants to exterminate Paradise, Willy (idk his name) was about to unite the world to genoice Paradis. No one was 100% in the right, but one was 100% in the wrong. However, Eren had a solution (not morally correct) but still a solution and a way to fight back, innocent people dying is inevitably, hello??? it's the medieval times we are speaking people are bound to die due to Eren only genociding 80%, Paradis is held responsible. Eren originally was born and raised in Paradis aka Germany all over again.
Last point **Ymir**
>She got raped by the same man
>Her family got killed by the same man
>Her tongue got cut off by the same man
>her daughters ate her corpse because they were ordered by the same man
"I love him that man", you are telling me people suffer because of a stupid stockholm syndrome and that Ymir is revealed to be a goddamn masochist and needed to see Mikasa killing her Crush so she let everyone free? I ask you who is the real villain here.
Hiroki Over.
