Our Department of Critical Care Medicine in association with the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) held a CME on Oncology critical care, On 27th November 2022. It was attended by leading critical care intensivists from Hyderabad and other parts of the country. Various doctors from varied fields and microbiologists touched upon important infection scenarios, Oncologic Emergencies, Apheresis, The Role of Clinical Microbiology lab in the diagnosis of ICU infections and related pathogenic effects, End of Life Care in ICU & Ethical dilemmas in ICU practice. Panel discussion on Neutropenic sepsis & Medico-legal case-based discussion in initiating EOLC in ICU and Interesting case presentations were also a part of the CME conference. It was a very well-received conference and many important topics on Oncology critical care were addressed.

Another Miraculous ICU Recovery!!!

Mr. Inderjeet Singh, Ex Executive Member world bank suffered a serious back injury(in tail bone)as he fell down and lay unconscious at the railway station. Sohana Hospital’s Life Support Ambulance brought him in from a nearby hospital and was immediately admitted to the ICU.

gave him the best treatment as patient was not responding at all during the first three hours. He was on ventilator initially but started improving gradually.

The ICU team and nursing staff attended him round-the-clock during his 2-week stay. From being unconscious the first 4 days to nearly 95% recovery in the next 10 days, Mr. Inderjeet was shifted to the general ward on the 11th day.
