this blanket is actually finished! tho only have WIP pics for now. this one started as a scrap yarn project where I was gonna use up the leftovers from Becca's temperature blanket, but just ended up loving the pattern too much when I ran out of yarn, so of course I hadta order more
pattern is Dedri Uys "Lazy Waves Blanket" from Look At What I Made
Tumblr media
sneak peek of a current project, also still using the same yarn as the temperature blanket

I have real furniture!
A nice set of drawers, a little night stand, and a recliner. my aunt’s moving up north to what was supposed to be her “summer home” which sounds fancy but it’s a mobile home, simple. Cause her condo association upped the fees and my uncle liked being up north more than he thought he would. Which is why I now have a basically brand new recliner! It’s got a remote! I need to double check what it’s made out of, cause it feels like leather but I’m not 100%.
I realized my room wasn’t really messy, it just looked like it was cause you could see things on the shelves and the bottom shelves were a mess cause of cats.
Anyway, this made me clean (sorta, kinda) and I already planned to not go to the craft store until I made a dent in my stash, but now I’ve actually got space to go through everything.
So the plan is to do that tomorrow, and make a rough plan on what to do with all that yarn.
I’m thinking bags, especially with the obviously acrylic ones.
I bought a bunch of cotton yarn a while ago but the colors didn’t work for what I wanted to use them for, but I think I have a proper project for them now.
I’ve got some big things of baby yarn, and those are probably gonna be blankets, and maybe donated? I gotta find out where and how for that sorta stuff.
Caron used to have a home decor collection which I used to practice knitting (to tell you how long I’ve had these, junior year of hs 2016) they’re like tshirt material tubed over a core of polyester? I think, I tossed the labels ages ago. It was GREAT for practicing because you couldn’t accidentally split the stitches.
Pictures will be taken and friends/family will be questioned if they want anything.

I have, not counting the big one, 21 granny squares made to give out. I can make, it seems, at least 6 in a day. I think i can get to 50. Is that a reasonable to amount for one random guy to give out at a pride event?

A sea-shore cowl for my godsister to use up some of the million chunky blue leftovers I have! I absolutely love how this came out since it was pretty much improvised.
Yarn: Stylecraft Special Chunky - my best guess at the shades is White, Duck Egg, Teal, Empire, and French Navy (they were all scraps without labels!)
Pattern: I used the ‘long wave stitch’ from this video for the main body of the cowl, and the ‘wave border’ from this video for the sea-foam edge!

Crochet Ripples in the Sand Afghan Pattern
Crochet Ripples in the Sand Afghan Pattern
Crochet Ripples in the Sand Afghan Crochet Ripples in the Sand Afghan Crochet this Ripples in the Sand Afghan featuring Bernat Maker Home Dec Yarn. Bernat Maker Home Dec Yarn is a new yarn that is like a soft cord. It is partly cotton and polyester. The yarn has stretch and is bulky which means projects such as this will crochet up really quickly. It will have a beautiful drape to it. In this…

I don't often remember to upload my art here, but! This lil guy is spoopy season appropriate, and it's not often I actually finish something topical in time, so I wanted to share.
Enjoy the bonus pics at the end of Abby not being able to hold herself back anymore from giving kisses and getting scritches X'D

finished sweater!! i used one of the seasonal colorways of caron chunky cakes (2.5 cakes) and mostly followed this pattern from forthefrillsstore on etsy (minor deviations in torso and sleeve length, plus i added a row of single crochet to all of the edges to make them match the collar)

This pattern is driving me nuts. It's such a cute, feline shaped body when a lot of crochet patterns just have teddy shaped bodies for every animal. I'm currently using it for a baku, but I had plans for a manticore and maybe a griffin.
So, what's wrong with it? The instructions and the toy it shows in the pictures appear to be similar but not identical patterns!
The paws shown have four toes. The pattern makes paws with three.
The tail shown has a jaunty little wave. The pattern makes a straight cylinder.
The thighs are... not as round as they should be. Somehow.
I'm having to adapt so much just to get what I thought I was getting in the first place. And in some cases I'm still not sure what needs changing.
