Synopsis: So, after that messy business with the portal, Cronan Darkroot has found himself in the company of the people he once considered enemies. Most notably Rosalyn. And while before he had sweet talked her for his own purposes, now he's starting to notice that she's rather... engaging? Attractive? What words could he use to describe her? Well it doesn't matter. It's not like she's going to give him a second chance... right?

Elves au where the sisters DID notice the traumatised orphan nephew they had, and Emily’s grandmother decided to take him in and take him to the human world with her, him being about eight when her daughter was like fifteen (because I checked the wiki and it doesn’t confirm which of Emily’s parents was her child, I’m just saying Emily’s dad took her last name), so instead of being evil and villainous, Cronan is just Sophie and Emily’s weird uncle.

Oh! My! Demon! That’s a great idea! Dunno how I reply to this type of ask, as unfortunately I can’t quite tell what the ask is…? But this is a very interesting thought, one I can appreciate and enjoy. You’re very clever, and have a big brain! 💪🧠

They would definitely have a different relationship then, but there’s also a good chance that he would end up being how Emily found out about Elvendale. Honestly? In that situation, he may have been the one entrusted with the amulet, as he would know the secret, and have already been protecting it for a long time. You can bet he would have told crazy childhood stories about his life to Emily and Sophie, but they just thought it was make believe.

In this adaptation, his family would believe Ashwing was the family dog. 🐶.

About Cronan

Get past his tyrannical outside and you notice his motivations aren’t to take over both worlds, it’s just so he can rescue his mother through any means he knows how and he’s blinded by that drive to the point he becomes cruel to his underlings (even Ashwing, his beloved pet dragon, isn’t safe from this) and even goes so far as to strike a deal with a Lovecraftian Horror to ensure he succeeds and his father isn’t even so much as mentioned, so chances are, Quartzine was the only family he had. At the end of the day, Cronan’s just a scared boy trying to reunite with his mother… and it’s quite heartbreaking. Now was what he did excusable? Ha ha ha… no. It wasn’t. But he didn’t do those things out of evil.

So I just rewatched the clip from episode 7 “Betrayals” where Skyra tells the gang about Cronans mom and…. I-I can’t, ok, listen:

SHE KNEW WHAT HAPPENED TO CRONANS MOM AND SHE DID NOTHING! NOTHING!!!! SHE DIDNT POP UP AFTERWARDS AND TAKE HIM IN!!! NO SHE JUST STOOD BY AND WATCHED!!! AND HER WHOLE “and now it seems like her son is going down the same path.” LIKE… J-JUST SHUT UP, OK!!!
