I've been brainrotting about reaper lately, got any good ideas for him? maybe some afterdeath or him being a good dad to his kid(s)

I think Reaper would just get so tired sometimes, I mean, he was pretty tired in the comics if I remember… These lovers only comfort each other please and thank you :)

Unclemare is an au I made of Nightmare acting as a main caregiver for Palette because I’ve always been a sucker for Palette being with his silly evil uncle 😅 You can search for my art of it using #unclemare on my blog filter :) Nightmare kidnaps Palette basically and then a whole lot of chaos ensues! AND ✨found family✨

I know you as the afterdeath person so have this prompt I generated

I couldn't pass the opportunity to make this Halloween themed. Palette is a sailor, Lux is passive!Nightmare, Goth is Reaper, Shino is a zombie, and Raven is literally Hatsune Miku (it was really funny in my head)

Goth and Raven definitely told Shino to bite him. Also Palette and Lux are here because Halloween is a busy day for Dream if I recall. I was gonna add Cross but then forgot but oh well lol, just imagine he stopped somewhere and is stuffing his face with chocolate. :)

Why is Dream shipped with Error in the random AU designs?

They are beautiful by the way.

Why? I’m not really sure.

As a multi shipper I tend to think of crazy pairings now and then and Dream and Error just jumped out at me. Although, I guess I paired them because in the lore it’s a sense of comfort I find them feeling.

Dream feels comforted by someone who treats him equally and not like a powerful scary being. In the au Error is pretty calm against the chaos of the multiverse. (The quiet anti-void, and the silence that plagues Error’s voice) Error knows the beauty of the multiverse amidst the dark and broken things and I think it’s nice to imagine Dream, who has just been thrown into the chaos for the first time, to be shown the beauty through someone who has gone through so much pain in the multiverse. From one outcast to another saying that things will get better.

Dream relied on his brother for so long, and Error hasn’t relied on anyone for so long. It’s comforting to know they now have each other when they get to that point. Error’s cold barriers that he’d created, slowly getting cut loose by the warmth of Dream, it’s like both of them alleviating the grief they hold together on equal terms.

You've talked about Nightmare's Gang as a flock, what other flocks are within the main cast? Are their dynamics similar to those in NM Gang (as in, do flocks tend to be very similar or very different)?

Official all Sans flocks

Error, Fresh, Geno

Nightmare, Killer, Dust, Horror

Ink, Dream, Blue

Generally all other Sanses are in flocks with their respective universe's Papyrus and main cast of Undertale

Their are some monsters who choose to be alone as well

Flocks in my au generally form for survival, close bonding, or just the fact that it's practical or benefits them. They've basically gotta bond with someone enough and their bird brain assigns them a knowing flock in the back of their mind. They are able to resist officially flocking with someone but it pains them to do so. If a monster is in a flock already its hard for them to suddenly switch and go into a new flock. The stars formed a flock bond because of the huge amounts of time they'd spend together. Nightmare's flock formed for practically the same reason. I've always headcanoned Fresh, Geno, and Error as brothers so they are flock.

Onto the dynamic parts :) Every flock is very different! There isn't really a leader position unless the flock wants it, with most being all respectfully and mutually in no power over each other. Flocks can be family, blood or found, friends, rivals, literally any dynamics.

Example, I've talked about Nightmare's flock, and their "leader" is Nightmare. The stars don't have a leader, they're all mutual friends who are basically family. Error's flock consists of his brothers Geno and Fresh, who he isolates himself with, but whenever they do meet up they will nest together and just enjoy each others presence.

People in a flock can have a mate from a different flock even if they don't change their flock. Mates are something special and most pairs are together for life.

Ok yes hear me out: I love your palette + uncle mare content, and as a angst lover I have a headcanon

Dream after almost half a year comes back for palette after FINALLY realizing he's gone, and when given the choice palette tells his papa how bad of a dad he is, then just kinda.. chooses to stay with unclemare??

Omg this is just yes! I LIVE for angst!! I absolutely love all the ideas people have given me for Palette just straight up denying his real dads for a better guardian.

Canonically in my au Nightmare is a little corrupted however. He's cruel and thinks of Palette only as a bargaining chip for a long while. Don't worry! Palette's the kid of Ink and Dream, he's got a few things up his sleeve...!

Also in the au Ink and Dream are simply platonic and Palette is made from their magic mixing.

Ink is totally not a parent of Palette's. Ink literally constantly forgets what Palette's relationship with him is and its established that Dream takes care of Palette alone. Palette knows that Ink is his other dad and it hurts him knowing that Ink is not part of his life despite both seeing each other often since Dream and Ink are friends, There are good moments though! Such as Palette getting his roller from Ink.

Dream is a parent who tries his best but just isn't cut out for being a parent. When he has the free time he spends all his time with Palette, trying to just take care of him. He lives a lifestyle where he's constantly on the run or just working. Palette gets left alone more times than he can count. It is due to Nightmare being corrupted and Dream never has time to just relax and breath.

Palette wasn't left alone as a kid thankfully and would usually be brought to Reapertale to be taken care of by Geno, which is why he's friends with Goth.
