一切の無駄を省いた造形美。

ミースにはH鋼、ライトには石造、コルビジェにはコンクリート、有名建築家にはそれぞれ代名詞的な材料や部材がある気がする。

IITの建築学生の模型は全部3Dプリンター。

デジタルのレベルが日本の学生とは一線を画している。

大学卒業したらここで勉強したい、と思わせる雰囲気。

How a goddess dies

When the doors to her chambers opened, great mighty walls of oak the finest only, resentment pulled at her. Scorching breaths huffed out evenly from her delicate lips alluring the undead. In a moment, she faced the darkness of his face, the shadows lurking in close proximity. Each click of his heels through the dark halls brought it closer, the inevitable. She did not cry or wail or beg. She did not falter nor stand or react in any way. Scrutiny glazed her eyes. Each fold of her dress was lain meticulously before her feet. Albeit her crowned head was held hight, she seemed fatigued but nonetheless a sight to his black gleaming eyes. He was craven. She was more craven still.

Fear raced her heart yet her hands folded leisurely in her lap as the shadows crept nearer. He seemed to take his time - he knew this was her end. Each languid motion brought him nearer and made the room cooler. At last, he stood at her feet. An uncertainty grazed the crownhall and even the cold shadows caught their breaths. He stepped upwards.

She rose. The sounds of her robe unfolding were unnaturally loud. The bloody fabric licked at his feet but he didn't step away.

“If you hoped for me to beg I fear I must disappoint.”

A rush of emotions rippled through his eyes at her words, lastly settled on a cold but not unfriendly acceptance.

“I do not hope anymore, goddess,” he said and his voice swung almost with melancholy. She nodded.

“Then it shall be.“ She fell to her knees. Never had this motion looked as graceful and divine as when she kneeled. It was an odd picture almost like a painting with how they stood, though the only witnesses were the shadows and they could not talk.

“Do what you must.”

No fright stained her voice and it filled the hall with a warmth even the shadows felt. He crouched until his knees scraped the floor, the motion nowhere as beautiful as when she did it. With a tenderness contradictory to his decisions he cradled her face and touched his lips to hers. It was a bittersweet distraction, not one she wouldn't see through but at least it made the blade less noticeable when it sunk into the soft flesh of her skin sucking her life out of her.

Little Rant

What’s the worst thing in the entire world? Wanting something you know you can’t have. It’s kind of like taking a five-year-old into a candy shop and telling them they can’t have anything. God, what that child would do to get their hands on a bag of candy, they would cry perhaps throw a tantrum until their mom or dad agrees to one bag of candy. But as we get older we realize that you can’t always throw a tantrum through every situation in life to get what you want. So what’s next? The crying may remain or it may not, however, how the situation is handled always changes. You may think it’s the worst moment of your life at that time but then you’ll go through something just as bad and convince yourself you were created with bad luck. That’s not true, not necessarily, it’s more of how you handle situations, whether you’re positive or negative, whether you decide to move past them or just dwell on the past forever. These little things matter so much, in fact if you ask me I would say these little things influence majority of how your life turns out. You can fight and fight to make things better but some things are made the way they are to help the outcome of your life, the little things matter, don’t ignore them.
