It depends on what character we’re putting in

If it’s a character who has a 3D form or is normally 3D (like the majority of the bosses from SPM and every TOK boss, as well as any Thing (From SS and CS) that’s an official character (like Huey or Fan)

Otherwise, 2D with Paper Mario rendering is the way to go

TLDR: there’s some 3D characters in some paper mario games, and those should be 3D, otherwise do 2D

Christmas Eve 1968, the white mice (South Vietnamese National Po,ice) beat the hell out of me. A little misunderstanding at Mama Cs, the best whore house in Da Nang. Rumor has it the 3 of them were loaded onto a Huey and down out over the South China Sea and got to swim back.

Catch-up wave 2- Recut 2/CS Recut, Part 1

Next up on the catch-up wave list is character sprites for the fantopic recut of the Wii U game with the Paper Mario name, Color Splash. Unlike StSt Recut, which was and still is seen by others as superior to the actual game, CS Recut was just as divisive as its own source material for various reasons (the number and use of past characters, the designs of some newer and even past ones, some added story elements).

While I am proud of what I did with Recut 2 or rather what Recut 2 did with the source material (to the point that the only way I can talk about CS is if it’s the recut, not the original- first time I’ve admitted this publicly, by the way), I also see where the criticism is coming from. This feedback has been taken into account for future fantopics, Mario Story Fruit Shake and Origami King Retold. That said, even those down the middle have tauted certain characters and elements as a good change.

Enough of that, though- here’s some reposted characters, new and redesigned, from CS Recut. Due to how different CS Recut is from the original despite using the same base locations and plot, this will be in two further subwaves- one for the completely new characters, and the other for those who mostly take up the same roles of generic or near-generic and nameless Toads.

THE MEMPHAWKS- A tough bird species, the Memphawks are both tough and wise. Rumors say their strongest member is a champion in the faraway Glitz Pit.

The Memphawks replace around 1/4th-1/5th of the generic Toads, with both unique and crowd-filler characters.

Had Rawk Hawk been used for a specific role in a previous original story, it’s entirely possible these roles would have been filled by a Madame Flurrie-based species instead.

THE VELLBEX- A goat species, the Vellbex are very rare, even in their homeland of Prism Island. Nearly 1/5th of the generic Toads are replaced with Vellbex, most of them unique.

I made this species both to show a more subtle way of including paper jokes (all of which were removed from CS Recut). The Vellbex were also a way to compromise with StSt fans, via making a species based on the memetic Goat thing from the preceding game.

EDWIN- A dashing young Slurple, Edwin’s big on the coinage and suckage power. Though formerly allied with the Musketeers, a misunderstanding due to joining Mario leads to a last conflict of interest.

Edwin takes up part of Justice Toad’s role (the part in Cherry Lake’s first visit), but becomes entirely his own character as the story goes on, though his Musketeer inspiration was D’Artagan...the human swordwielder, not the slug dog. In addition, he takes a large number (though not all) of Huey’s more meanspirited comments and money-focused nature so Huey makes a better first impression while also providing meaningful inner party conflict between more than just two characters.

LOUIS- One of Mario’s biggest fans, Louis the Memphawk knows all about the Great Gonzales, and wishes to help him on Prism Island. Louis himself has no counterpart in the original game. He and his father also reference a certain behind-the-scenes aspect of Mario, one that has become more important with a certain movie’s trailer.

MARIRANA DEEPS- The more carefree of the Deeps Sisters, Marirana doesn’t believe in limits (and neither should you). However, a degenerating relationship with her sister and the appearance of Mario’s friends sway Marirana to travel with them, if only to understand the next step for her to take.

This is the v2 design of Marirana that was used for the 2018 posting of the story. A newer redesign, seen below, was made years later for TOK Retold.

SUEBELLE DEEPS- The sourer of the Deeps Sisters, Suebelle is miffed at Marirana about something, leading her to leave and join with Birdo instead.

As with Marirana, this is the v2 design for Suebelle, with a v3 design made for TOK Retold.

Paper Mario: Color Splash

So I just finished Color Splash and wOW do I have a lot to ramble about so yeah this is gonna be a long post: So I'll be the first to admit that sticker star was definitely NOT what I or other PM fans wanted out of this franchise. The story, battle system and characters were all watered down and it lacked a lot of what the original to games had. So you can imagine how disappointed I was when I slowly realized that Color Splash would be no different. But then I played that game and, after coming back to it on and off for a couple months now I finally finished the game tonight and I have to say, THIS is what Sticker Star should've been, Color Splash does not have a deep and interesting storyline, nor does it have a complex, strategy based battle system, nor does it have original characters to the game (well aside from one). But what it does have is one of the most charming games I've ever played. Are there literally hundreds of toads and shy guys? Yes. They're all written so well and have so much personality that it felt like instead of having maybe 20 or so really fleshed out supporting characters like TTYD, we got hundreds of mini-personalities that I really enjoyed. Color splash really has almost everything the original games had BUT in bite-sized form. The characters, the levels all feel like mini-chapters from the earlier games. In CS, you'll get to a kitchen, prepare a pizza, then have a battle with a piece of steak in order to cook it just right. Every one of CS's 40+ worlds is like this, a mini story. And I found that, through BY FAR the best writing in the franchise, every one of them was so genuinely enjoyable and fun to play that I didn't mind the surplus of toads and shy guys. Not to mention how the game LOOKS. WOW, no doubt the best looking PM. Almost everything in the world is made out of some sort of crafting material, like bushes made of puzzle pieces or roads out of cardboard. And the style really transfers well to the characters and in the minimal animations. Not to mention that soundtrack! Last thing I want to talk about and the reason I decided to make this post is your partner character, Huey. In my opinion, one of my new favorite Nintendo characters. You can tell how, after Kersti, the devs really tried to make your partner as likable as possible. I'm not going to try to explain it here because then I would just ramble but if you've played the game, you know how well-written and enjoyable of a character Huey is and I really hope (probably not) to see him in another game. And the ending, ugh, nothing out of the ordinary or unpredictable for a Mario game but still... Anyway yeah that's just my raw thoughts after finishing CS, a great underrated game that too many people don't play in fear of a "sticker star clone". I really recommend giving this game the chance it deserves. I see too many people. I see too many people bashing the game without even playing it and I understand! But trust me when I say that's it's a different game than it looks from the trailers and I really thought it was special

OK!AU INFOGRAPHIC 2 Despite the name, OK! doesn't JUST focus on Origami King- It aims to give more depth to the Mario series as a whole. For example, Color Splash is quite the contentious game due to it's rather lackluster villain- (And battle system, but not like I can change that.) So, why don't we fix that? OK!Huey goes largely unchanged in personality, but does give him back a cuter version of one of his beta designs because I just love it that much. Both Huey, Vanta, and the Paint Stars in OK! are based on the Hawaiian Hoary Bat. Vanta is a completely new addition to the story, as the Black Paint in Color Splash is almost barely able to be argued as it's own character. Regardless, they take the role as villain in OK!

Top 10 thương hiệu mũ bảo hiểm uy tín và chất lượng hàng đầu

Trên thị trường hiện nay tràn lan các loại mũ bảo hiểm với cả trăm thương hiệu mà chúng ta chưa thực sự hiểu rõ về nguồn gốc xuất xứ của chúng. Vậy một câu hỏi đặt ra là bây giờ nên chọn mua những thương hiệu mũ bảo hiểm nào?

Những loại mũ lưu thông trên thị trường có thực sự đạt chuẩn?

Theo kiểm chứng của Bộ Khoa học và Công nghệ thì không phải tất các loại mũ bảo hiểm lưu thông trên thị trường đều đạt chuẩn. Có một số nhãn hiệu được người tiêu dùng lựa chọn nhiều như Amoro, Protec, Honda..

Hiện nay có tới gần 150 nhãn hiệu mũ bảo hiểm lớn nhỏ khác nhau vẫn cho ra những sản phẩm mũ bảo hiểm hằng ngày, người dân vẫn cứ vô tư mua và sử dụng. Thế nhưng, thật sự không phải những hãng mũ bảo hiểm đó đều tốt. Trong số gần 150 nhãn hiệu đó thì chỉ tầm 48 nhãn hiệu là được bảo hộ tại Việt Nam và 10 nhãn hiệu trong số này đã được công nhận là phù hợp với tiêu chuẩn về chất lượng mũ bảo hiểm.

Vậy nhiều người thắc mắc rằng “Có nhiều loại mũ bảo hiểm như vậy thì làm sao để kiểm tra loại nào đạt chuẩn, loại nào chưa đạt chuẩn ?”

Theo chuẩn đo lường chất lượng, mẫu tem quy định tiêu chuẩn Việt Nam phải có chữ “CS”. Những hàng hóa này phải in, dán trên các sản phẩm hàng hóa, bao bì, kích cõ có thể phù hợp theo từng hàng hóa. Tuy nhiên, không phải những thương hiệu chưa đăng ký bảo hộ là kém chất lượng, vì đăng ký bảo hộ là việc tự nguyện của các doanh nghiệp sản xuất mũ bảo hiểm.

Theo thống kê tính đến ngày 12/9, vơí 24 cục đo lường tỉnh, thành phố đã báo cáo việc triển khai kiểm tra chất lượng và ghi nhãn mũ bảo hiểm đang được người dân sử dụng hằng ngày. Kết quả trong 210 cơ sở, tỷ lệ có mẫu tem quy định tiêu chuẩn Việt Nam “CS” chiếm gần 63,6%, không có dấu “CS” chiếm 36,6%. Bên cạnh đó, kết quả kiểm thử ở một số thành phố cho thấy có 7/15 mẫu mũ bảo hiểm tương đương 46,6% trong tổng số mẫu kiểm tra không đạt yêu cầu.

Cả nước có khoảng 37 doanh nghiệp sản xuất mũ bảo hiểm. Trong số đó có 10 doanh nghiệp đăng ký 19 nhãn hiệu hàng hóa, còn 27 doanh nghiệp sản xuất mũ bảo hiểm còn lại không đăng ký nhãn hiệu hàng hóa.

Tuy nhiên, với những loại mũ bảo hiểm được nhập khẩu từ Singapore và Malaysia thì không phải qua vòng kiểm định của Trung tâm kỹ thuật Tiêu chuẩn Đo lường Chất lượng 1 và 3 nên người tiêu dùng vẫn có thể yên tâm sử dụng vì chất lượng của chúng.

Những thương hiệu mũ bảo hiểm nào uy tín và chất lượng nhất hiện nay?

Trong số những nhãn hiệu mũ bảo hiểm đang lưu thông trên thị trường thì có những nhãn hiệu uy tín, chất lượng như:

Mũ bảo hiểm Amoro (công ty TNHH Amoro Việt Nam, Hà Nội).

Protec (Công ty Thiết bị và sản xuất sản phẩm an toàn Việt Nam tại Khu công nghiệp Nội Bài, Sóc Sơn, Hà Nội).

HSL (Hợp tác xã Song Long, Hà Nội).

Hitech (Công ty cổ phần kỹ thuật HI, Hưng Yên).
