things I didn’t expect to learn from from chapter 119: Denji and Nayuta tally their farts each month and Denji is winning for March

Nayuta is NOT Makima

I may be optimistic, but Fujimoto likes to give us false ideas at the end of his chapters: the fact that Nayuta has the same haircut as Makima clearly serves to show their resemblance (after all they are the same demon) and to make us believe that Nayuta is a "mini-Makima"

What I hope she won't be: she's just a kid, who maybe given the rules she sets (rather normal really, it just seems like she's almost educating Denji), wants to play the big sister despite her age

From a narrative point of view, it wouldn't make sense to remake the same character because not only would the end of part 1 lose its meaning (if Nayuta becomes Makima again, Denji didn't save her), but the reader would be bored of finding the antagonist just in another version

The way the dogs are hooked at the leash also want to remind the power of the domination demon, and for me it's a false lead, to make believe in Nayuta's evilness

Nayuta is as cruel as a little sister who would be afraid that her brother (her only family) would move away from her, obviously since she is a demon it must be amplified

I still hope so, but the whole of part 1 serves precisely to demonstrate the other facets of love, such as that of a family, which is represented by the supreme act of platonic love: the hug. On top of that Denji really carries Nayuta in a brotherly and cute aura in the preview of part 2

In short, Nayuta is a demonic little girl who is still looking for her bearings, she won't become Makima again since what she was missing was a home and a family

nayuta’s chain goes right for asa’s forehead....in the beginning yoru tells asa that half of her brain has been taken over by her ....hm

also lol @ nayuta’s house plant dying while denji’s is flourishing. but remember, makima’s apartment had flawless house plants....i think this is a small hint that though nayuta is her reincarnation she’s already different in significant ways, could you see makima permitting a house plant to exist out of her control?

So, I was just wondering about how old Nayuta must be at this point, and just from that one panel I assumed she was early Middle School age, like a 12 year old or something.

But then I went back and realized that panel made her look much bigger than she was. Look at this,

She's tiny! Four feet tops. (Also, she still wears velcro, though that's not really an indicator of age. But Denji has lace. Even Power had lace.) And the obvious thing,

The bag. The randoseru backpacks used primarily by Japanese elementary schoolers. The bag doesn't look old, and clearly still packed, so unless she's wearing her randoseru to middle school (and I don't think Denji would allow that regardless of cost, he wants her to have a normal life), she is probably an elementary schooler.

So anywhere between 6-12 years old. Physically. Chronologically since Makima's death, she's like, 1.

Denji would not let Nayuta become Makima again :

I'll add something: okay Denji is stupid, okay he's weird but I don't think he's insensitive either. What Makima did to his family (Power and Aki) but also to the others is engraved in his bones. He can let Nayuta have a really clear grip on him, but he's not manipulated anymore. His goals (to get her into college), wanting to reveal his secret to get a girlfriend (despite Yoshida's attempts to manipulate him), seeing a penguin (despite Asa's attempts to order their date), Denji demonstrates all the evidence that he is exercising his free will.

On top of that, Kishibe has to keep an eye on Denji and Nayuta's evolution, not only to prevent the threat of the control demon from returning, but also in a benevolent way. He saved Denji by giving him a family again: a little sister.
