Pairing: Marcus Pike x Female Reader (Just Be-Claus pairing)

Word Count: 3,879

Rating: M (bordering on some smut); language, sexual content, innuendo, touching, removal of clothes … Marcus is a little saucy. 

Summary: Your first Valentine’s Day with Marcus Pike doesn’t go according to plan… but he’s determined to make it up to you. 

This wasn’t technically a request, but I liked writing Christmas with these two, and couldn’t get the idea of Marcus and some art of his own out of my mind. I truly thought this would end up legitimately smutty… and then while I was writing it, I realized that it didn’t need to. Today is not the day I post Marcus Pike smut, friends… it’s coming, but not yet. 

As you got ready for your date, you couldn’t keep the smile from your face as you thought about the man you were going to meet. Sure, you were still getting to know him, still falling into the routine of dating someone casually, still learning about each other - but what you did know, you liked. A lot.

This series is outstanding! I read all 6 chapters today when I should've been working. I'm fascinated by how you've woven Marcus, the Thief, the reader, art, and soulmates into a incredibly engrossing series. And the links to all of the works of art that you mention really adds to color and light to the story.

Author’s note:  I am so sad to see this one come to an end, but this brings us to the conclusion of the story that I wanted to tell with this. Thank all of you for reading and reblogging and sending messages and just being overwhelmingly supportive of this story in general. Marcus Pike deserved a good Christmas - and someone to spend it with, and I hope that I’ve given him a fun and believable opportunity to do so.

Summary: Christmas in Washington DC usually means more of the same … but when you meet a charming man in a Santa Costume at a children’s event, ‘the same ‘suddenly becomes anything but. 

Both you and Marcus Pike are coming off of rough endings to your previous relationships, but with the hesitation with moving too quickly keep you from enjoying what’s right in front of you. 

Author’s note: Hi! This one came out of nowhere, and ever since I had the thought of Marcus Pike dressed like Santa two weeks ago, I haven’t been able to get it out of my head. This is VERY different in tone from the stuff I usually write, so please enjoy a LOT of holiday cheer with our favorte Art Squad member. 

Questions and comments are very welcome - because I’m not sure about the way I’m writing Marcus, so feedback is probably very necessary. I appreciate all of you taking the time to read. I’m very nervous about this one, and I hope it doesn’t show. 

“No.” He shook his head, eyes locked on the woman’s face. “Come on, Amy, there’s no -” You have to be joking right now. “Marcus, there’s no one else.” She was nearly frantic - he could see the look in her eyes and hear it in her tone, and even though he wasn’t ready to admit it, he knew he’d end up agreeing. Because we’ve been friends for how long? “Josh had to cancel last minute because of some stomach bug, and none of the other guys here can do it without their kids knowing.” She glanced at the clock and then met his eyes again. “Please?” 

“I…” Trailing off, he raised a hand and ran it through his hair - still longer than he was used to, but not as unkempt. The same was true for his facial hair. It’s amazing what some time will do. “When do you need me?” He watched the expression on her face change, switching from desperation to relief, and Marcus couldn’t help the smile he gave her in return. It’s the least I can do.
