Garden Updates from Witch House

The tomato plant “Containment Breach” is now officially taller than my girlfriend. In a week, it will match me in height. Fuck. On the other hand, this week of rain after all the humidity has made Containment Breach HORNY AND READY FOR FRUIT as judged by...an ungodly number of small green tomatoes suddenly appearing. I’m making spaghetti sauce out of them.

Containment Breach, Travis, and unnamed-smallest-tomato all had to be lashed back into place because they’re SPRAWLING EVERYWHERE. 3 feet of distance was not enough to keep them from trying to hug.

The Cucumbers That Defied Death are almost as big as our much-more-recently-planted cucumbers. The CTDD are also producing way more cucumbers than the deck ones. The CTDD also only sprang back to life and went “surprise, bitch’ after the deck ones were sprouting.

The BEANZ are producing so many beans. Holy fuck.

Our lettuce has decided it is a DAMN GOOD TIME to just GO. It’s tripled in size since we planted it. Like. Just fucking. GOING. It’s huge. We’re happy.

Our mint is living its best fucking life, but it’s also staying in its goddamn pot because I know how invasive mint gets.

We have a bunch of bell pepper sprouts! I hope they end up growing, even if they were a late start. I’ve never grown bell peppers before. I like the flavor they add to things but I don’t like them as a rule.

We have...many pumpkin plants. They’re doing surprisingly well, considering that we didn’t purposefully plant them and the squirrels kept trying to dig up the sprouts.
