i didn't caption some of the earlier videos, unfortunately, but everything going forward always is. and they might have some pretty nonsensical rambling associated. but i have a thing for soundtracks and the juxtaposition of the horror soundscape reitzell used for much of the show and the melodic themes really hit me.
please let me know if you find any issues, broken links, wrong episode information, etc. dm, ask or comment!
The official lyrics of the theme song for The “C” Team. (The “C” Theme?) I thought I’d post these since they clearly inspired the name of the site. Emphasis mine.
Time is the enemy
the past, it threatens
the fastest weapon
you wouldn't make it past a second
and that's the question
play it brash and reckless
or choose a cautious solution
you thought was prudent
In any sepulcher
pulchritude'll become the putrid
It's that wealth that I'm pursuing
No mountain too steep
or dungeon too deep
to send expendable marks
up to the top of the peak or beneath
They see you bleed, they come like sharks to it
while I swim in that money bin
like Carl Barks drew it
so send your national parks druid
I'll send them home in a natural box
with a closed top
and most of the parts included
Save your breath for a cleric confessor
Death is a lesson and
life is a tenured professor
But if you're seeking my official advice
sign on the dotted line, initial it twice
hey its caden again (ae/him/aer/aers/aerth) i jus realized in the last one i sent i forgot a theme entirely because i was anxious about this (ive never actually told anyone i use neopronouns before) aaaa >~
this is caden! ae uses really unique pronouns, i think that’s quite cool of him! ae likes dnd, that’s great! i don’t know much about dnd, maybe ae can explain it to me. has ae ever dm’d a game? how many OCs does ae have? ae also likes minecraft, neat! does ae play on story or survival mode? does ae play single player or multiplayer? what’s the best thing ae’s ever built? i hope ae has a great day and takes care of aerth!
A list of twenty of my favorite theme makers that make fabulous themes. These people don't make themes specifically for characters but most of them, if not all, can be used for your character's theme. If you have a fandom blog this list can be helpful to you as well. Please like or reblog if you find this helpful.
Some of these are cute, or these, these, these, or one of these. I recommend looking at some 1x1 blogs for some themes if you don’t find one from those.
chiyoh's theme (my naming) by brian reitzell - s3e3 secondo
chiyoh is an interesting character, something as I recall, is mentioned briefly in the books but expanded to take place of other characters involved in hannibal's backstory for the show. I found her confusing at first, she looks so young - how could she be from a similar generation as hannibal? but this music almost implies there's something dreamy and magical about her. like time did indeed stop passing while she was with her charge, the prisoner. it's not a melody, but just these soft ringing tones from some sort of percussion instrument I would guess. I only included a small clip but will post a bit more of her conversation with hannibal after muskrat farm with the same theme later.
my percussion friend said it sounded like tibetan singing bowls!
chiyoh's theme (my naming) by brian reitzell - s3e7 digestivo
here again are those dreamy magical ringing tones associated with chiyoh (my percussion friend thinks they sound like tibetan singing bowls). my vague idea is that she was frozen in time in some sort of magical realism way while she guarded the prisoner. she also tends to talk in riddles and metaphor similar to hannibal. which also makes me think about will, who while he sort of appears to be a pretty basic guy, he also carries on these cerebral and frankly confusing conversations with hannibal as well. I don't really think these people are of this world.
I was struck while captioning this how somewhat shaky and fragile she sounds here. and all that said of riddles and metaphor, I really don't know the significance of the "between iron and silver" holds. unless she's fae maybe 🤔 watch me go completely off the rails.
