If I’m labeled or called white, I’m offended, I find it offensive, I am a human being who identifies as a Gael-Saxon and an American, I have heritage, culture, and family with history, from both the Gaels from the Gael Islands and the Saxons from the Saxon territory, I am proud of my wonderful families culture and how we grew to be in this world as better people, Love my Irish family and my Scottish Family.. I love my Polish family and my German family, Slavic Saxon Gaelic people do exist, I love you papi James Papczynski and Grani Madge Cline, and my wonderful Gran papi Francis Fothergill, and gran pappy McGarvey. I love my Elders <3  We Gaels have hair heritage and tragic historical occurrences, we have food heritage, and language. We Saxons have Cultured beautiful food, art, accomplishments, and losses, and language as well. Slavic people are full of deep heritage and culture, all kinds of Slavic Men, Enby, and Woman have done amazing things in the world, and celebrate all in depth of the world with such beautiful life. Be proud, and celebrate.. I’m not gonna let any “White” label Wipe my history and family down the drain, I’m not gonna be seen by my pale skin tone, I will be seen by my diverse individual mark on the world and my Variant of self.

The single most Puerto Rican populated place, aside from Puerto Rico itself. Despite that, my grandmother was sure to teach me about my heritage. She taught me about the food and the music and the beauty of the land. She told me stories of growing up in PR on a farm and how it was her dream to build a house there (which she was able to fulfill!) She had so much pride for our people and our land and I feel lucky that she passed it along to me. So despite the fact that I haven’t been to the homeland in several years, I carry my Puerto Rican pride with me wherever I go! I Can Not Understand,But I See.

"I can not understand. For me, I see your colour, your sexual orientation, your religion, and even your culture, and I see. I see a dark woman walk by me and I think, "Amazingly unique". I see a gay couple walk by me and I think, "Aww, They look so happy". I see a Muslim woman walk past me and I think, "What a beautiful design". I see an African man wearing clothes from his homeland and I think, "Interesting". So I do not understand. I do not comprehend how someone can see a dark skinned African-American woman and tell her she is too dark. How they can take what makes her unique in the world and make her feel shame for it? I can not understand. When someone sees a gay man and decides that they will hate them simply for who they love, I am confused. I cannot see how who they love at the end of the day has to do with your life. It is confusing when a person decides that because of who they love, they must dedicate their life to hating these individuals, to insulting them, to hurting them, even when they have done nothing more than listen to their natural instincts. I can not understand. When a woman wears a hijab and is demoralized for it, I am taken aback. She chooses to wear it and she is proud, yet many seek to shame her for it. They see only their idea of oppression, not her sense of freedom and beauty. I can not understand. When a man walks dressed in the clothes of his people, he is proud. He is the symbol of a culture that is unique and beautiful, yet many seek to destroy his pride. They see a difference in him they wish to destroy, for reason only they know. I can not understand. I can not understand the need to kill 50 people because of their love, I can not understand the need to cruelly judge and attack a people because of how dark their skin is, I can not understand the desire to destroy all cultures but our own because it is different, and I can not understand the need to subjugate a religion based on the actions of a few. I see her dark skin, I see their love, I see her religion, and I see his culture, and I love them. I understand she is unique, I understand that they are natural, I understand that she is free, and I understand that he is proud. However,  I can not understand their pain."
