Lightbearer: Lore, Barks, Etc.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_1 Aspic? That explains the rumble-y tummy.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_2 Doesn't sound like your typical Nickymaniac.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_3 I wish they'd give the new stuff a decent chance. It's very progressive!
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_4 Everyone's a critic. Especially the critics.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_5 God. Music lessons ruined him, didn't they.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_6 That accounts for the whiff of conjugal discord.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_7 All smiles, but he was grassing to the Bobbies behind my back!
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_8 The Bobbies don't want anyone to know what's really going on, do they!
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_9 Sounds like some of my, er, more devoted fans.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_10 Fuck me, he only wanted to help.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_11 What does that stuck-up bloke think hotel rooms are for?
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_12 Are you sure it wasn't a dream, Nicky?
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_13 Not ANOTHER divorce. Really need to stop having those.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_14 Those Appreciation Society meetings seem to get smaller every year. Didn't even have any of those… chocolate things.
NDLC_pc_nick_lore_15 That's terrifying! And it doesn't even rhyme!

NDLC_manager_WellM_mutter_1_JS I should just give out copies of his room key. See if there's anything left after the fans are done.
NDLC_manager_WellM_mutter_2_JS Maybe I'll ask room service to add an extra tranquilizer or two to his supper.
NDLC_manager_WellM_mutter_3_JS If that has_been trashes one more of my rooms I'll tell the Bobbies about all the "special deliveries."
NDLC_manager_WellM_mutter_4_JS I should just turn off the hot water to his room.
NDLC_manager_WellM_mutter_5_JS I wonder what his fans would think if someone told them his real age?
So the first chunk is obviously the most interesting. Nick was supposed to have more lines for reacting to notes he picked up, although most of them were cut. The only one that made the game was in response to picking up the critic's review. I've linked the notes I think each line pretains to, but there's room for interpretation on some of them.
I do think it's kind of curious that even with these lines, he doesn't have responses for every note in the DLC, but I think that's an improvement over Roger having one for all of his. I wish they would have put a few more of them in though.
Nick also had lines for taking damage, but I think they just ended up using his grunts and groans and didn't bother with captions. They also use parentheses rather than asterisks like they normally would.
The rest of these lines are, I believe, probably in use as they're mostly combat barks but the interesting thing about them is the attribution. Rather than just one copy of each line, they've put in two or three with different letters at the end. There was only one other place I could recall them doing this (at least in what I've dug up thus far), which gave me no help.
But then I had bolt of inspiration and realized what this might be...
The lines are actually attributed directly to the voice actor who will perform them.
The two female fans are played by AT and SL, Amelia Tyler and Samantha Lee. The papparazzi are Inel Tomlinson, Julian Casey, and Joe Sims (or Jay Simon, but I think Sims is more likely.) The aggro female fans are Katherine Kingsley and... Michael Shaffer, lol? No match for that one. SB the Worker... Stephen Boxer perhaps? He's not on the cast list for the DLC but a lot of those lines are quite... utilitarian and conceivably not specific to Nick; it's possible they recorded them for something else and are just salvaging those assets here.
What's strange is, normally, they wouldn't do this. Like, they might have separate references to the line for each actor (though I couldn't guess why), but even some very simple lines are shared across the three main acts of the game and are just referenced from different places. They didn't need sixteen copies of "How?" or "Why?", they just need the unique reference to it in the code. And it looks like they did that for the female aggro lines, but then decided to have separate subtitles for both actresses. Weird.
You know what though? You'd think this would help sort out the Haworth Labs attributions, but no! None of those initials match up to names in the cast list. lol
And lastly, Murray Davis' mutterings. These are all in use; he'll say them if you approach him at the reception desk.

They Came From Below: Q3
Q3_Facility1: Stranger in a Strange Land
Objectives:
What's Down There?
Pick Up Ray Gun
Shoot Red Barrels
Enter Facility
Save James From the Robot!
Go Talk to James
Explore Further
Turn Off Security
Get to the Generator Room
Reactivate Tower 1
Reactivate Tower 2
Reactivate Tower 3
Run!
Use Escape Hatch
Shoot It!
Go to the Security Room
Search Security Room
Get Ray Gun Upgrade
Survive the Robots
Turn Off the Security System
Find a Way to Deactivate the Lasers
Get Ray Gun Upgrade
Quest Notes:
What is this massive complex? And what's behind those doors?
All right. Robots made this for Dr. Faraday. But why? What is it for? Why didn't she bother to mention it to James and me? Well, that one is obvious: she thinks we're a "couple of numpties." But … robots…!
Oooh! A Ray Gun! Just like in my speculative fiction paperbacks!
I wonder what happens when I fire the gun at those harmless-looking barrels?
Oh, bother. James is going to sulk now.
Dr. Faraday's somewhere in this Facility. We've got to find her.
… Though if I'm being honest with myself, I hope I don't find her too quickly! This place is a speculative fiction reader's dream come true!
But it is a frightful mystery. How could Dr. Faraday make robots all by herself down here? And if she had help, why didn't we know about it?
A robot is attacking James! To arms! To arms!
I hope he's all right. I hope he doesn't blame this on me. He probably will.
I've got to find Dr. F. She must be somewhere down there. What if she's hurt? Mustn't delay.
There are rather more laser beams than are healthy. I hope there's somewhere I can turn off the security.
How can I turn off the security?
Looks like Dr. F's been making improvements to this weapon of hers. Couldn't hurt to try it… I hope.
I may have overstepped… as usual. Security's off… but so's everything else. We won't be able to find and rescue Dr. F until I can get the power turned back on!
Now, to find my way out of here.
Were those robots fighting each other? Are there more than one faction? Do I have time to ponder this before they grind me into gears?
I think I've stayed quite long enough. That's enough angry robots for a lifetime, thank you.
Finally. If I just pull this switch that ought to take care of those lasers blocking my way for good.
Oh. More lasers. Wonderful.
Never seems to be an end to these nasty things. Still, there must be a way in here to shut them off somehow… mustn't there?
Another improvement. What could this do?
Dialogue:
CIN_020_Elevator
R_0 What do you think that button does?
R_1 Don't press a button if you don't know what it does!
R_2 Sweet baby Moses!
R_3 Who built this?
R_4 Dr. F, I think.
R_5 It just goes down and down, doesn't it?
R_6 Shut up, you.
R_7 What the hell was that?
R_8 That was obviously a robot.
R_9 Well don't I feel stupid now. I can see it was a bloody robot!
R_10 Why didn't she tell us she was making robots?
R_11 I suppose that's how she made this… facility. But what is it for?
S1
S1_0007900 WellM What the hell was that?

S1_0008100 WellM Well don't I feel stupid now. I can see it was a bloody robot!
S1_0008200 WellM Why didn't she tell us she was making robots?
S1_0008500 PC_Rog I suppose that's how she made this… facility. But what is it for?
S2
S2_0008601 WellM Have you ever, in your wildest dreams, ever imagined a place like this?
S2_0008602 PC_Rog Well, yes. But it didn't have gravity.
S2_0008603 WellM Did you dream we were living on top of one???
S2_0008800 WellM DON'T TOUCH THAT!
S2_0009100 PC_Rog Why not?
S2_0009200 WellM You don't know how powerful it is. You don't even know what it does. Or how to make it work.
S2_0009301 PC_Rog I think I just pull the trigger, don't I?
S2_0009400 WellM Fuck's sake, Roger!
S2_0009500 PC_Rog Pew! Pew! Pew!
S2_0009600 PC_Rog Oh, shit! Bollocks.
S2_0009700 WellM Put that away for God's sake!
S2_0009900 PC_Rog You're no fun.
S2_0010000 WellM No indeed. I am no fun at all.
S2_0010100 PC_Rog Oh, someone's in a mood.
S2_0010101 PC_Rog I'm going to go see what's behind those doors.
S2_0010102 WellM Don't you think we should figure out what all this equipment does, first?
S2_0010103 WellM Well, that's what I'm going to do.
S3
S3_0010300 WellM Oh, Roger… there's a robot here.
S3_0010301 PC_Rog Oh! The radio works!
S3_0010400 WellM I don't think it's friendly.
S3_0010600 WellM Could you come back and shoot it for me?
S3_0010802 WellM Had more urgent matters to attend to, did you?
S3_0012500c WellM I'll be fine.
S4
S4_0010900 WellM Sorry to bother. I just hate to think how you'd manage if I was dead.
S4_0011000 PC_Rog I think we should go back upstairs. And maybe start running, and keep running till we've gone across a few bridges.
S4_0011100 WellM We have to rescue Dr. F!
S4_0011200 PC_Rog What if there are more of these things?
S4_0011300 WellM That's why we have to rescue her! Somethings's obviously gone wrong with her robots.
S4_0011400 PC_Rog Are you sure they're hers?
S4_0011500_1 WellM Obviously it was hers! It had her voice!
S4_0011510 PC_Rog Yes, she must have recorded her own voice for the robots to use.
S4_0011600 PC_Rog But look at this writing. I've never seen writing like that. Have you?
S4_0011900 WellM What the hell is it?
S4_0012000 PC_Rog Haven't you ever wondered where motilene came from?
S4_0012100 WellM No. From the ground, obviously!
S4_0012300 WellM What are you getting at, Rog?
S4_0012400 PC_Rog I'm not sure yet.
S4_0012500 WellM You do know how to make a bloke feel thick.
S4_0012500a WellM Look, you figure out what language this is, and I'll go find Dr. Faraday.
S4_0012500b PC_Rog You're hurt!
S4_0012500d PC_Rog I'll go find her. You see what you can do with all those control panels.
S4_0012500e WellM Now don't do anything stupid and get yourself killed, all right?
S4_0012500f WellM I'd never forgive myself.
S4_0012501 WellM Uh, what did you just do?
S4_0012502 PC_Rog I appear to have triggered a bit of the security system.
S4_0012503 WellM I think I've found a sort of live map of the facility.
S4_0012504 WellM If I'm reading this right … you're near some sort of security room.
S4_0012505 WellM Maybe you can unfuck things there.
S5
S5_0012700 PC_Rog There's more of those marks. This time on the wall.
S5_0012800 PC_Rog It's not hieroglyphics. I'd recognize Hangul or Devanagari.
S5_0012900 WellM Sorry pup, I forgot to go to the best schools.
S5_0013000 PC_Rog Her portals… do you think the other end could be terribly far away?
S5_0013100 WellM Like… Scotland?
S5_0013200 PC_Rog What if these are alien robots?
S5_0013300 WellM You think aliens kidnapped Dr. F?
S5_0013400 WellM Well it doesn't matter. We still have to rescue her.
S5_0013500 PC_Rog No. It wouldn't matter to you.
S5_0013600 WellM Always have to have the last word.
S6
S6_0013605 WellM The security room should be right in front of you. Some sort of big cylindrical chamber.
S6_0013800 PC_Rog Out of reach.
S6_0013900 PC_Rog I have a feeling it's something that needs to be charged up. I think I'm supposed to shoot it.
S6_0014200 WellM Don't shoot a gun at something you're not trying to kill, all right? That's the first thing we learned in the Army.
S6_0014300 PC_Rog I'm supposed to shoot it. Obviously.
S6_0014400 WellM Don't shoot anything for fuck's sake!
S6_0014500 PC_Rog It lit up! It's working!
S6_0014600 WellM Why don't you goddamn listen to me, Pup? I was kind of hoping you'd outlive me!
S7
S7_0014800 PC_Rog Oh, bugger!
S7_0015000 PC_Rog There are an awful lot of robots here. I think they're trying to kill me.
S7_0015100 WellM Well get the fuck out of there, Pup!
S7a_0015601 PC_Rog Oh. Hello, lads.
S7a_0015602 WellM All right, think before you do anything else reckless!
S7a_0015603 PC_Rog Oh dear. I seem to have made things a bit worse.
S7a_0015604 WellM Roger!
S7a_0015605 PC_Rog Oh, and now it's spinning. Oh dear.
S7a_0015606 WellM What's going on, Puppy?
S7b_0015605a PC_Rog Oh, a new kind of robot! En-chan-té.
S7b_0015606a PC_Rog Oh, lovely.
S7b_0015606b WellM What did you break now, Pup? All the lights just went out here.
S7b_0015606c PC_Rog It just did that by itself.
S7b_0015606d WellM Course it did.
S7b_0015606e WellM I think there might be some sort of generator room near you.
S7b_0015606f WellM Oh -- look for a lift. That'll get you into the generator room. At least I think it will.
S7b_0015609 PC_Rog This place is huge!
S7b_0015610 PC_Rog Does that map give you any sense where Dr. F might be hiding?
S7b_0015611 WellM There seems to be some sort of monitoring room. See if she's gone there, would you?
S7bc_06 WellM Puppy, it's too dangerous. I've decided you should come home.
S7c_0015612 PC_Rog All right. I'm in the generator room. I think. How do I turn the power on?
S7d_0015613 WellM There should be switches on the walls.
S7d_0015613 PC_Rog That I shoot the raygun at?
S7d_0015614 WellM All right, Pup. You were right. I was wrong.
S7c_0015616 PC_Rog You ought to listen to me more often, you know.
S8
S8_0015612 WellM There's some sort of heavy door. If I sort of half lower it, can you climb over?
S8_0015614 WellM Roger! Are you all right?
S8_0015615 PC_Rog Just -- thinking.
S8_0015616 WellM Don't think! Get out of there!
S8_0015900 PC_Rog James is going to kill me.
S8_0016000 PC_Rog "I told you not to shoot those barrels!" That's what he's going to say. Over and over.
S8_0016400 PC_Rog My God! They're killing people!
S8_0016500 PC_Rog My God. Did I let them out of the facility? When I opened all those doors?
S8_0016600 PC_Rog I've got to save them!
S8_0016703 PC_Rog Cute little bastards.
I haven't forgotten about the second half of the James post. In fact, I have another ask that will actually make a Roger post so it'll be a two for two for one sale.
Not too much cut from here, mostly just looks like rearrangement. Namely the generator room being accessed before the security room. Also a couple of cut objectives and quest notes, but I don't think they leave our much. The quest note about James blaming him for being attacked is interesting, but not unique. Aside from that, it looks like picking up the upgrades were supposed to be objectives as well, but they've been removed.
There's also a line explaining that James has a live map of the facility up in the control room which is how he can help Roger navigate. And James' line at the end of the hobo sign conversation which ironically would not have let Roger have the last word if it hadn't been cut. The lines about fighting the robots should be part of the next quest, "War of the Worlds", but spillover seems to be expected for this DLC. Intriguing that Roger considers he could have let the robots out.

Dumb bitch just realized the...Underworld? area at the end of The Black Parade is a reference to one of Zdzislaw Beksinski's paintings so yeah I guess a lot of the Themes and references go over my head thanks to not being cultured enough lol

They Came From Below: Q4
Q4_SaveTheVillage: War of the Worlds
Objectives:
Defeat the Robots {Count}/{MaxCount}
What's Happening in the Village?
Kill the Robots {Count}/{MaxCount}
(Optional) Save at least 3 Citizens {Count}/3
Save the Village
Find Moo
Re-Enter the Facility
Quest Notes:
Poor Viv! I must avenge her!
From the sounds of it, the village is under attack!
My god! These robots are running amok and killing people! I've got to stop them!
I should save as many people as I can!
All right then. More robots. Suppose I don't have a choice.
James! Is he all right? I've got to make sure he's all right!
This seems a bit rash, honestly. Considering how things went the last time. But Moo insists.
Dialogue:

0019600 WellF Citizens! Stay away from this Headmistress! It's gone rogue!
0019700 WellF Everybody! Stay away from the robots! They are alien and extremely dangerous!
0019800 PC_Rog I knew it!
0019900 WellF William Robinson! You're in danger! Danger, Will Robinson, Danger!
0020000 WellF I'll let you know when I've regained control!
S2
0020101 PC_Rog James!
0020200 PC_Rog James? James? Moo?
0020300 PC_Rog Are you all right?
0020400 WellM Thank God you're okay, Pup. I was going out of my mind.
0020500 WellM I'm going to go back down there.
0020600 PC_Rog James, that's suicide!
0020601 PC_Rog Did you happen to notice the robots massacring people in town???
0020700 WellM She needs us. You saw her. She's in trouble and she's doing everything she can.
0020800 WellM Look, you did your part. Now you stay safe and I'll find her.
0020900_1 PC_Rog That's not called for, James. You're still hurt, so I'm obviously the one going in.
0020901 WellM Damn it, Roger, I'm the soldier!
S3
0021100 WellM It just goes down and down, doesn't it?
0021200 PC_Rog Nothing wrong with that.
0021400 PC_Rog If these are alien robots, then where are the aliens who built them?
0021600 WellM Thank God Dr. F was here to put a wrench in their little invasion or where would we be now?
0021650 PC_Rog Yeah.
0021700 PC_Rog Yeah. Where would we be.
0021700 PC_Rog Where would we be.
S4
0021300 WellM Shut up, you.
This one's pretty short, but I figure Q5 is not going to be so it's better to go ahead and post this one by itself. Also tells you I am working on the They Came From Below post and trust me, you're gonna want the cut content for that. It changes things.
Anyway, not too much cut from this quest. The objectives and quest notes show no edits far as I can tell. Dr. Faraday has a Lost in Space reference that got taken out. Funny, but the reference is American and it woulda detracted from the tension in the scene so I geddit.
One thing that is notable is that Roger has a lowbrow rejoinder to James' comment about how the facility just "goes down and down", which was cut. Instead, it was subbed out for a James line (reused from his greetings?) that was apparently added in late enough to get its own "scene". The change creates a scene where you, as Roger, presumably make a face at James that conveys that statement without saying it and he responds to it, which is a very neat little trick when you are stuck in first-person and can't see your own dumb sex joke face.
The last time I did this, I didn't have the ability to see the organization system as well as I do now and I assumed the scene was written as is and Roger's line was just cut out, not that it was replaced to create that moment. Ultimately, we still know that Roger is not too educated to make a dumb hurrhurrhurr joke so we didn't really lose much in exchange for that cool little moment of game dev playtime.
Also that the exchange apparently was written at the beginning of the second elevator ride, rather than the first where it appears in game. Possibly meant to break the tension at that moment and then - like Faraday's line - thought better of. Good move.

Poedit Cut/Unused Content: Crones
Crones_1
000 PC_Sal All right, I have my pituitary extract and my amalgam. I need to replace the safrole and the mephedrone. How do I get those?
001 PC_Sal The weird sisters! They're always making potions and things out of herbs. I bet they could help me.
002 WellF Is the place still secret?
003 WellF Secret and swept and deep
004 WellF Who will call the Maiden?
005 WellF I have called her; she is here.
006 WellF Who will call the Mother?
007 WellF I have called her; she is here.
008 WellF Who will call the Crone?
009 WellF I have called her; she is here.
010 WellF Seven times four the Sun hath fell
011 WellF Now the prophecy fulfill
012 WellF Let the hurly burly quell
013 WellF Let her come forth, if she will.
014 WellF ‘Tis time, ‘tis time, she comes
014a PC_Sal Hello? Nimue? Vivienne? Morgause?
014b PC_Sal I could swear I just heard them! Where are they?
014c PC_Sal How do they do that?
015 WellF All hail Sally Boyle, mistress of alchemy!
016 WellF All hail Mistress Boyle, who knows the secret of maternity!
017 WellF All hail Mistress Boyle, who seeks the other shore!
018 PC_Sal I keep forgetting - you know my secret.
019 WellF We drew down the Moon!
020 PC_Sal You drew down the Moon?
020a PC_Sal This potion will help your daughter sleep.
020a WellF This potion will help your daughter sleep.
020b WellF She won't get hungry as quickly.
023 PC_Sal In fact … I came here for some ingredients I need for some … well, drugs.
024 WellF We'll help you with what you want. But first, learn what you need. You don't even know what that is!
024a WellF Before the learner attains wisdom, the teacher has the right to give several tasks.
024b PC_Sal Several.
024c WellF That's how it works, yes.
024d PC_Sal All right…
029 PC_Sal When will I see you three again?
029a PC_Sal When will I see you three again?
030 WellF When you know what is unknown!
031 WellF Anon, anon!
Crones_1_Chanting R_0 Is the place still secret?
Crones_1_Chanting R_1 Secret and swept and deep.
Crones_1-Chanting R_2 Who will call the Maiden?
Crones_1_Chanting R_3 I have called her; she is here.
Crones_1_Chanting R_4 Seven times four the Sun hath fell,
Crones_1_Chanting R_5 Now the prophecy fulfill.
Crones_1_Chanting R_6 Let the hurly burly quell,
Crones_1_Chanting R_7 Let her come forth, if she will.
Crones_2
001 WellF Who approaches the sacred circle?
002 WellF A maiden!
003 WellF A mother!
004 WellF A wise woman!
005 WellF Wise and yet not wise.
006 WellF Yet count them: One, one and one make one.
007 WellF One who is three comes near
008 WellF Three who are one await
009 WellF Tis time, 'tis time, she comes!
020 WellF This recipe cannot cure your daughter.
021 WellF But she'll be stronger. You'll have more time to save her.
022 PC_Sal Wait? What? Gwen's not sick!
022a PC_Sal Wait? What? Gwen's not sick!
023 WellF Um…
024 WellF Can't hurt.
025 WellF The magic will help her whether she is well or ill.
026 PC_Sal I… don't know that I believe in magic.
027 WellF What else is left to believe in?
028 WellF The potion isn't magic. It's herbalism. Your Mum knew herbs pretty well, didn't she?
029 PC_Sal Yes. Especially what you can do with foxglove.
029a PC_Sal Yes. Especially what you can do with foxglove.
030 WellF Have you tested magic and proved it wanting? Or have you simply assumed that what you don't understand can't be true?
031 PC_Sal I suppose I … haven't tested it.
032 WellF Then do this, if you like: we place our sacrifices in a chest in the wilds. I'll put the place on your map. Put some bricks in the chest. And say this prayer.
032a WellF Then do this, if you like: we place our sacrifices in a chest in the wilds. I'll put the place on your map. Put some bricks in the chest. And say this prayer.
033 PC_Sal Bricks?
034 WellF See what comes of it. And then return.
036 PC_Sal But … about my ingredients…
036a PC_Sal I was on Harry Haworth's team when we invented Joy. One day I hope the Goddess will forgive me for that.
037 WellF We'll help you with what you want. But first, learn what you need. You don't even know what that is!
038 PC_Sal Oh, of course the lads are here. Mustn't let the birds go thinking they can do things by themselves.
038a PC_Sal Oh, of course the hooligans are here. They've never liked the Sisters much, have they?
039 WellM We'll have no witches here thank you!
040 WellM We're not scared of you!
041 WellM Ye shall not suffer a witch to live!
042 WellM Monstrous regiment of women!
043 PC_Sal There we go. Five bricks. Now I just say this prayer…
044 PC_Sal Goddess, lighten my burden. Give me the strength to carry what I must, so I no longer need the strength of others. Goddess, I dedicate these bricks to you. Blessed be.
045 PC_Sal Huh. That's it?
046 PC_Sal That's strange. I do feel stronger. Maybe because I'm not carrying around a ton of bricks?
047 PC_Sal I guess I should talk to the weird sisters again.
Crones_2_Chanting R_0 Who approaches the sacred circle?
Crones_2_Chanting R_1 A maiden!
Crones_2_Chanting R_2 A mother!
Crones_2_Chanting R_3 A wise woman!
Crones_2_Chanting R_4 Wise and yet not wise.
Crones_2_Chanting R_5 One who is three comes near.
Crones_2_Chanting R_6 Three who are one await.
Crones_3
002 WellF Did you say the prayer?
003 PC_Sal I sort of feel stronger, actually. I think I can actually carry a bit more.
004 PC_Sal You can't prove it's magic, though. What if it's psychosomatic?
005 WellF So what if it is? you're still feeling stronger.
006 PC_Sal I'd rather you taught me about herbs. I need them, for the drugs I have to make.
007 WellF Patience. You are close to the learning you seek.
009 WellF Our henge has been occupied.
010 PC_Sal The old stone circle? The "Wedding Party Stones"?
011 WellF There's ancient power there.
012 WellF The sacred circle has been polluted.
013 WellF If you can clear it, then we'll teach you about the herbs you need.
014 PC_Sal Well, that sounds sort of fun and righteous. Why not?
015 WellM Do you think it's sweet enough?
016 WellF I was on Harry Haworth's team when we invented Joy. One day I hope the Goddess will forgive me for that.
016 WellF Why don't you taste it? Hah. Seriously, you won't die from just a smidge. It'll just make everything burn a little brighter, is all. Back at the house, we'll give everybody a huge cup of it.
017 WellM It doesn't hurt when we … free our souls from their fleshy prisons. Does it?
018 WellF I think your heart races for a bit, then off we go to the ethereal plane.
019 WellM Why don't we use hemlock? Like how Socrates killed himself. Hemlock doesn't hurt at all.
020 PC_Sal My god. They're brewing poison!
021 WellF Because we already made two big batches of digitalax. Can you imagine if we came back to Reverend Father with a big bowl of hemlock now? He'd laugh at us. Might not even let us come along on the sacred journey.
023 WellF All our questions will be answered once we're no longer in the prison of our bodies. That's what he said, right?
024 PC_Sal It's some sort of suicide cult! I'm not gonna let them poison a whole bunch of people!
024a PC_Sal I guess I can start by getting rid of this batch.
022 WellM I'll just keep stirring then.
025 PC_Sal Now I've got to get rid of this poison.
026 PC_Sal They've still got two batches back at "the house," wherever that is.
027 PC_Sal What's this odd sigil of theirs? Maybe the weird sisters know?
028 PC_Sal Huh. I wonder if I've "cleared" the circle. Shouldn't something have happened? God, now they've got me believing in magic. Still … I have a feeling there's something else to do.
029 PC_Sal What? Is someone here? … That was very strange.
Crones_4
001 WellF You cleared the circle.
002 PC_Sal I could swear something was there. Or someone.
003 WellF There's power there, if you let yourself feel it. They must have had a reason to put the stones in that place.
003a PC_Sal I'm sorry. I didn't clear the circle. I couldn't.
003b PC_Sal There were people there. Wearing these sigils.
004 PC_Sal The people there… they were wearing these sigils.
005 WellF Oh, Lord, the Space God people. Ransom McKenzie's congregation, in Gardner House.
006 PC_Sal They were making "digitalax."
007 WellF In small amounts, it's a drug. More than that, it's a poison.
007a WellF You can make it from red foxglove seeds.
007b WellF We make all sorts of useful potions and things out of it. You could, too.
008 PC_Sal I think their "reverend father" is planning for the whole lot of them to kill themselves.
009 WellF I can think of a lot of reasons to kill yourself in the Garden District. But no one should have their death chosen for them.
010 PC_Sal You know about my mum.
011 WellF I remember; there was a terrible accident. Your mum put the wrong herbs in the family dinner. The whole family died, except you. It was just before the train, so I always wondered. It wasn't an accident, was it.
012 PC_Sal I think she didn't want my sisters to be scared, all alone in Germany. So she killed them. And I guess she didn't want dad to hate her. So she killed him, too. And she couldn't live with herself. I don't know why she left me behind.
013 WellF Here.
013a WellF Mix it into their poison, and it should change from poison, to … let's call it an eye-opener.
013b PC_Sal This is the recipe for … digitalax? And something more…?
014 WellF Come back, and I'll have the rest of what you need. You're making a sort of herbal blackberry Joy, aren't you?
014a PC_Sal You know your chemistry.
015 PC_Sal For ladies who live on a crag in the Garden District, you seem to know a lot about what's going on.
015a PC_Sal For ladies who live on a crag in the Garden District, you seem to know a lot about what's going on.
015a WellF You'll need digitalax for that, among other things.
017 WellF You stopped them!
018 PC_Sal How do you know that? Magic?
019 WellF We can see it in your face.
020 PC_Sal They weren't very happy with me.
021 WellF You took away their sense of purpose.
022 PC_Sal I couldn't let them do it.
023 WellF What your mother did. Do you worry that you have that in you?
024 PC_Sal All the time.
025 WellF To be a mother is to worry.
026 WellM You have worlds within you. Only some are death.
027 WellF Here: the recipes you need to replace the blackberry Joy.
027a WellF You'll need red owl butterflies. Opsiphanes cassiae. They're hard to find, but they're all over the train station.
027b WellF You can use our old butterfly net!
028 PC_Sal Thank you.
028 PC_Sal Oh, perfect. Ollie Starkey lives there… who knows if he remembers me.
028 WellF Well then.
029 WellF Blessed be.
030 WellF Blessed be.
031 WellF Blessed be.
032 PC_Sal This is brilliant. I can replace almost everything I need with botanicals, and the odd butterfly.
034 PC_Sal Where do I get my mercury amalgam, though?
036 PC_Sal It's a byproduct of making Joy. But I can't get into the labs any more. Who can I talk to?
038 PC_Sal_Bill_Hockney Harry Cavendish. He was fired, wasn't he, and nobody would talk about it. Maybe I should pay him a visit.
040 PC_Sal They can't know if Gwen is sick? How would they know that?
042 PC_Sal I better check on her, though.
044 PC_Sal I wish I knew how they did that.
046 PC_Sal Off I go to the train station, then, to catch some butterflies
Crones_Mystery
002 WellM This is our test of faith, my friends. We hate this world, we all hate this world. We hate living in this flesh bag, not knowing our Higher Purpose.
004 WellM But … do we hate it enough? Anyone can say, sure, I hate living in a flesh bag. But then you say to them, "Well, don't, then." And they're scared. They're scared to jump. What if the Pickup Vehicle is not really in orbit? What if there is no Pickup Vehicle?
006 WellM That's why you need to hate, really hate the flesh bag. You have to be willing to not living in it, without any solid confirmation that the Pickup Vehicle is there.
008 WellM Does this seem strange to you? It shouldn't. Jesus Christ said, "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it," Matthew 16. The Hindus seek moksha, liberation from the cycle of rebirth. They all ask us to embrace the next world and to joyfully give up this world.
010 WellM Because, of course, there is a Pickup Vehicle. I've been on it. I've talked to the Transcended, both humans and aliens. Trust me, I would have been happy to stay up there. But if I had, I couldn't tell you the good news.
012 WellM I'm not talking about martyrdom. No one's talking about martyrdom. Okay what I'm talking about might look like martyrdom to the cowans. I'm talking about leaving the flesh bag behind. Throwing it overboard. How can you float up to the Pickup Vehicle if you're weighed down by a bag? You can't. It's ballast.
014 WellM We have to leave the flesh bag and be our soul, be only our soul.
016 WellM This is not suicide. Suicide is giving up. This is taking a leap of faith. We have to have faith that the Transcended will catch us.
018 WellM What else is there? Clinging to the life of this flesh bag until it rots? You've seen what the Blight does to a fresh apple. You know about the plague victims. Some of you have tried to talk to them. What do you suppose this world is doing to you, every day?
020 WellM Well, but, how do we know?
022 WellM We don't. That's the test. That's what makes us worthy of becoming Transcended humans, like the Transcended Humans before us, like Jesus, like Buddha, like Guru Nanak we've talked so much about. If we can see further than your sight goes. If we can feel what is just across the river on the other side, on the other plane of existence. Then they will know we're worthy.
024 WellM And what happens if you don't have faith? What if you don't drink the magic potion that takes us to the other plane of existence?
026 WellM Nothing. Nothing happens. Nothing new. Nothing changes.
028 WellM There's no punishment, except how you're already being punished. There's no retribution, unless you already feel like you're being retributed. You just won't ascend, you don't Transcend. And sooner or later, but probably sooner, the way things are going, your flesh bag dies.
030 WellM But then you're not worthy, and you don't float up to the Pickup Vehicle. Your fleshbag drags you down. Your doubt drags you down. Makes you heavy. You sink into the Earth you've always clung to. You've clung to it, now you get to have all you can eat. And your soul rots in the Earth.
032 WellM We're going to start handing out the cups now. Don't worry, there's enough for everyone, more than enough. But don't sip it, or you might feel sick for a bit. A little might make you queasy. A full cup, and you won't feel a thing. You'll just wake up in a little while, feeling no pain, feeling no gravity, looking down at the Earth from the Pickup Vehicle. And then you'll get to meet everybody up there.
034 WellM They've been watching you. They can't wait to meet you.
036 WellM Let's go, let's get those cups out to everyone who wants some.
038 WellM Once you've had your fill, if you feel like it, you can sing along with me.
040 WellM What are you doing? These people are trying to get to a higher plane of existence!
042 WellM Get out! Meddler!
044 WellM Heathen!
046 PC_Sal You sick, dying bastard!
048 PC_Sal Kill yourself if you like, but you're not taking anyone with you.
050 PC_Sal Pickup Vehicle Service on the Hammersmith & City line has been permanently suspended between Eel Pie and Apple Holm. Please make other arrangements for transport to your final destination.
052 PC_Sal SORRY, THE MASS SUICIDE HAS BEEN CANCELLED. I'M AFRAID YOU'RE ALL GOING TO HAVE TO LIVE WITH YOUR SINS LIKE THE THE REST OF US.
054 PC_Sal I could give them an antidote to their digitalax. But they'll just try again, won't they?
056 PC_Sal Mum made the antidote, didn't she? In case she had second thoughts. But she didn't have second thoughts.
058 PC_Sal Whatever I give them has to give them hope.
060 PC_Sal That's a tall order for a drug.
062 PC_Sal Maybe if I "cleanse the doors of their perception…"
063 PC_Sal They've already started! I've got to get to the poison before they all take it!
063a PC_Sal Fuck in a bucket! I'm running out of time!
064 PC_Sal That's it! That's what they're going to poison everyone with!
066 PC_Sal If I've done this right, they'll realize the world is a lot bigger than the Garden District. Or something.
068 WellM Now, everyone take a small cupful of the elixir we're passing out. You may feel a bit dizzy, that's to be expected. Shortly afterwards, you'll sleep, and when you wake up, you'll be in the Pickup Vehicle meeting some very wonderful exalted human beings and transcended entities.
067 Bobby Erm, the lads 'ave… prepared a little merriment to show our gratitude.
070 WellF Hands are … really beautiful … aren't they? They're like … God's hands.
072 WellF I'd never noticed all the colours. Is this heaven?
074 WellF Life's so… short … you know?
076 WellM This place is … bad. It's a bad place.
078 WellF Why did you want us to die? Why?
080 WellF It's because you want to die, isn't it? You just wanted company.
082 WellM Let's get out of here.
084 WellM We're leaving! You can kill yourself if you like!
088 WellM Wait! Stay! The next world is better than this one!
086 WellM Wait! Don't go! You'll miss the Pickup Vehicle. You'll all miss the Pickup Vehicle!
090 PC_Sal Are you mad, or are you just a swindler who's convinced himself? I don't think I care.
092 WellM Prove it's not true! You can't! You might as well try to prove that God doesn't exist!
094 PC_Sal I think Wellington Wells is pretty good proof of that!
096 PC_Sal Sorry, Pickup Vehicle Service on this line has been permanently suspended.
All of Sally's quests for the Weird Sisters. As you can see, this questline was placed earlier in the original draft than it appears in the finished game. Specifically, you'd be given the butterfly net before finishing "Reservations", meaning butterflies were meant to be an ingredient needed to complete it and you'd have to do "Ex Cathedra" first. They play a bit more with twining quests in and out of each other in Arthur's act (nesting "The English Vice" inside "House of the Inventor" or giving you "Haworth Labs" which can't be accessed until you've done, like, four other prerequisite quests). Sally's quests were apparently edited to be much more linear (excluding "Home Cooking", although that's not twined so much as over-arching).
In this order, the Witches would have told her how to make the mercury amalgam and Harry Cavenish (who according to the filename for the subtitle was originally named Bill Hockney) would only have told her where to find it outside the labs, rather than giving her the formula too as he now does. The lines at the beginning of Crones_1 may have been appended after this change, since a lot of times these subtitle bunches start on 002, not 000.
Ransom McKenzie's ramble was actually supposed to be a sermon with some discussion near the end, but that would have limited the audio design to the church room of the house. It was definitely the better choice to do the audio tape monologue thing instead.
I rather wish they'd have left Sally's lines in about sensing a presence at the Wedding Party stones. Like, it's not conclusive of anything, but it does reinforce that Sally is wise but not wise. Wish they would have left those chants in too, come to that.
Vivienne: A wise woman!
Morgause: Well, let's not go crazy. She doesn't even know her baby's sick.
The reveal that Gwen was sick makes a little more sense this way than it does in the game (as is, Sally just gets a premonition about it after seeing a rat), but that Sally doesn't worry about it until after the quest is complete is a little out of character, but that's why it's not in the final cut.

This tool is optional. No one is required to use it, but it's here if you want to know which of your AO3 fics were scraped. Locked works were not 100% protected from this scrape. Currently, I don't know of any next steps you should be taking, so this is all informational.
Most people should use this link to check if they were included in the March 2025 AO3 scrape. This will show up to 2,000 scraped works for most usernames.
Or you can use this version, which is slower but does a better job if your username is a common word. This version also lets you look up works by work ID number, which is useful if you're looking for an orphaned or anonymous fic.
If you have more than 2,000 published works, first off, I am jealous of your motivation to write that much. But second, that won't display right on the public version of the tools. You can send me an ask (preferred) or DM (if you need to) to have me do a custom search for you if you have more than 2,000 total works under 1 username. If you send an ask off-anon asking me to search a name, I'll assume you want a private answer.
In case this post breaches containment: this is a tool that only has access to the work IDs, titles, author names, chapter counts, and hit counts of the scraped fics for this most recent scrape by nyuuzyou discovered in April 2025. There is no other work data in this tool. This never had the content of your works loaded to it, only info to help you check if your works were scraped. If you need additional metadata, I can search my offline copy for you if you share a work ID number and tell me what data you're looking for. I will never search the full work text for anyone, but I can check things like word counts and tags.
Please come yell if the tool stops working, and I'll fix as fast as I can. It's slow as hell, but it does load eventually. Give it up to 10 minutes, and if it seems down after that, please alert me via ask! Anons are on if you're shy. The link at the top is faster and handles most users well.
On mobile, enable screen rotation and turn your phone sideways. It's a litttttle easier to use like that. It works better if you can use desktop.
Some FAQs below the cut:
"What do I need to do now?": At this time, the main place where this dataset was shared is disabled. As far as I'm aware, you don't need to do anything, but I'll update if I hear otherwise. If you're worried about getting scraped again, locking your fics to users only is NOT a guarantee, but it's a little extra protection. There are methods that can protect you more, but those will come at a cost of hiding your works from more potential readers as well.
"I know AO3 will be scraped again, and I'm willing to put a silly amount of effort into making my fics unusable for AI!": Excellent, stick around here. I'm currently trying to keep up with anyone working on solutions to poison our AO3 fics, and I will be reblogging information about doing this as I come across it.
"I want my fics to be unusable for AI, but I wanna be lazy about it.": You're so real for that, bestie. It may take awhile, but I'm on the lookout for data poisoning methods that require less effort, and I will boost posts regarding that once I find anything reputable.
"I don't want to know!": This tool is 100% optional. If you don't want to know, simply don't click the link. You are totally welcome to block me if it makes you feel more comfortable.
"Can I see the exact content they scraped?": Nope, not through me. I don't have the time to vet every single person to make sure they are who they say they are, and I don't want to risk giving a scraped copy of your fic to anyone else. If you really want to see this, you can find the info out there still and look it up yourself, but I can't be the one to do it for you.
"Are locked fics safe?": Not safe, but so far, it appears that locked fics were scraped less often than public fics. The only fics I haven't seen scraped as of right now are fics in unrevealed collections, which even logged-in users can't view without permission from the owner.
"My work wasn't a fic. It was an image/video/podfic.": You're safe! All the scrape got was stuff like the tags you used and your title and author name. The work content itself is a blank gap based on the samples I've checked.
"It's slow.": Unfortunately, a 13 million row data dashboard is going to be on the slow side. I think I've done everything I can to speed it up, but it may still take up to 10 minutes to load if you use the second link. It's faster if you can use desktop or the first link, but it should work on your phone too.
"My fic isn't there.": The cut-off date is around February 15th, 2025 for oneshots, but chapters posted up to March 21st, 2025 have been found in the data so far. I had to remove a few works from the dataset because the data was all skrungly and breaking my tool. (The few fics I removed were NOT in English.) Otherwise, from what I can tell so far, the scraper's code just... wasn't very good, so most likely, your fic was missed by random chance.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the cost to host the tool! I appreciate you so so so much. As of this edit, I've received more donations than what I paid to make this tool so you do NOT need to keep sending money. (But I super appreciate everyone who did help fund this! I just wanna make sure we all know it's all paid for now, so if you send any more that's just going to my savings to fix the electrical problems with my house. I don't have any more costs to support for this project right now.)
(Made some edits to the post on 27-May-2025 to update information!)

Gland_of_Hope
000 PC_Sal All right. Next ingredient. Pituitary extract.
001 PC_Sal Where's my extractor?
002 PC_Sal Dammit. It's broken.
004 PC_Sal Stewart Adams was tinkering with my old extractor, wasn't he? Maybe I can buy it back from him? Or borrow it.
006 WellM Sally. You never come by any more!
008 PC_Sal Well, Fiona--
010 WellM Oh. Cerberus. Yeah. She's never understood me, Sally. Not like you do.
012 PC_Sal She mentioned, among other things, that you've improved my … extractor.
013 PC_Sal Have you still got my extractor?
014 WellM I have! You're gonna be very proud of me. It's much quicker now. Might even sting a bit less.
015 PC_Sal You've improved it!
016 WellM Would you like to test it out?
018 PC_Sal You sure Fiona won't murder you?
020 WellM Oh, she barks, but she don't bite. Much. Hah.
022 PC_Sal I'll let you know how it works.
026 WellM Sally!
028 PC_Sal Are you all right?
030 WellM It's been a bit rough. We split up, y'know, the wife and me.
032 PC_Sal Fiona left?
034 WellM Left? Hah. I found out she cheated on me! With a customer! The lying whore. I sent her packing back to Daddy.
036 PC_Sal But you and I… ah, never mind.
038 WellM Good riddance. I'm a free man, now, should any pretty girl happen to come along. Nudge nudge wink wink. I'm learning to cook!
040 PC_Sal Actually I'm here to buy a thing or two.
042 WellM (sighs) One of these days, I'm going to impress you again, see if I don't.
044 PC_Sal I'll need pituitary extract from someone who's been exposed to mustard gas.
046 PC_Sal Mikey Forrester's clinic ought to have a patient or two like that. I'll send him a note on the blower.
046a PC_Sal Wait. I better send that message off to Mikey.
046b PC_Sal What am I thinking! I better see how Gwen is.
047 PC_Sal Let's see what Mikey has to say for himself.
048 PC_Sal Someone's upstairs? How'd they get in?
049 PC_Sal "Found someone. Meet usual place."
050 PC_Sal Oh, for heaven's sake, Mikey, you could have just written down the name and sent it up the blower.
052 PC_Sal Colonel Lawrence. Wasn't he the hero of Ramsgate?
054 PC_Sal I mean, of course he's been exposed to mustard gas. He was in the Great War.
056 PC_Sal I do need his pituitary extract. I guess I'll have to go pay him a visit.
058 PC_Sal I think I know just how to talk my way past these awful women.
060 PC_Sal I bet I can just walk right on in.
062 WellM Sorry, we're very busy. The family in mourning. Or will be, shortly.
064 WellM With any luck.
066 PC_Sal I've come with the Colonel's prescription!
068 WellM Prescription! What does he need with medicine! He's dying!
070 WellM No, thanks. I know you're a clever chemist and all but … He's very old, and we've all decided to let nature take its course.
072 PC_Sal Oh, it's not a cure! You can't cure old age, can you, hah hah!
074 PC_Sal This is really just to help … ease the way. Help him sleep.
076 WellM Wouldn't mind if he slept a bit more. Always ringing that goddamn bell.
078 PC_Sal All right. I'll give him the pills.
080 PC_Sal I'm afraid it goes in … the other end.
082 WellM Ohhh! Hah. I don't suppose you'd like to administer it?
084 PC_Sal I can do that. I understand that the family is sometimes uncomfortable…
086 WellM Great, well. Up you go.
088 PC_Sal Brilliant. He didn't even ask who sent me.
Dohoho!
See, although I certainly believed Fiona, there wasn't ever actually anything in the game that said Stewart did cheat on her with Sally. Now we know that was the intent. I do kinda wish Sally would have had some sort of quip or comment to make on the idea that Stewart could cheat on his wife and yet feel he had any place to be indignant when what comes around goes around, but whatchagondo?
I do think they took this out because even being unfaithful to his wife, I think Stewart still comes off as very sympathetic. You don't need Fiona to cheat on him back to feel bad for him that he's still pathetically trapped in Sally's thrall and still trying to impress her years after she's left.
Additionally, making Fiona a cheater too... @monstroso once proposed that the reason people kinda gloss over Sally bein' a homewrecker is because Fiona is mean to Sally about it and when you're playing as Sally, that means Fiona is mean to you. So Fiona needs to have the moral high ground if the average player is to have any hope of actually seeing Sally in totality. Similarly to Sally asking Dottie Lloyd-Ramsay if she's jealous while her husband is dying, you can't give Sally any room to debate their character because then she turns the question from her culpability in upending their lives to whether they deserved it for some failing of their own (i.e. "Maybe he liked me because I thought he could be more, did you ever think of that?")
Oh, and it looks 46a and 46b were meant to bring a little bit of the tug-of-war of priorities from Sally's first quest back to your return to home base at this point. I would have really liked that actually. The first quest makes the house a place of intense stress, but after the fire is dealt with, the house is a peaceful retreat from everything outside. Continuing the stress testing of the first quest in smaller doses would have reinforced that the house was not the safe haven it feels like once the lab is back in order.

Hello! I really love all your work, especially the Seung Jae one. Speaking of Seung Jae, can I request a one shot smut about him (if you're comfortable to write smut) where reader and him have a private and secret relationship. Then one day, someone was flirting to the reader but reader is so shy and naive that she thinks that he is friendly to her. Then, Seung Jae saw it and felt rage, jealousy, and possessiveness towards her. Btw, their relationship is not toxic but there are times that it can be toxic when Seung Jae can't control his emotion. Thankie 😘
Only mine

Pairings: Geum Seongje x Fem!Reader
Summary: You smiled at the wrong guy.
Warnings: Smut, explicit sexual content, possessiveness, jealousy, praise kink, mdni
A/N: *gulp* it‘s kinda hot in here..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’ve always been soft.
Polite. Shy. The kind of person who smiles at strangers without thinking twice. It’s part of your charm one of the reasons Seongje fell for you. But sometimes, that sweetness felt like a curse.
Because it made people think they had a chance with you.
And today, someone took that chance.
It was during break, near the vending machines. A boy from another class. You didn’t know him well he wasn’t even on your radar. But he struck up a conversation. Said something about how you looked better every time he saw you, called you “adorable” in this half joking, half serious voice.
You thought he was being friendly.
You smiled. Awkwardly. Tucked your hair behind your ear and said, “That’s really nice of you,” like you always did.
You didn’t see the possessive stare from across the hallway.
But Seongje did.
He saw everything.
You don’t notice his silence until hours later after school, when you meet in the unused music room, like always.
You close the door behind you, expecting his usual smirk, his lazy voice teasing, “Took you long enough.”
But when you turn, he’s already across the room. Eyes dark. Hands in his pockets.
Something is off.
“Seongje?” you ask gently. “What’s wrong?”
He says nothing. Just stares at you.
Then moves.
Fast.
You barely register the way his hand slides behind your neck, how his mouth crashes onto yours, how your back slams into the nearest wall with a gasp. His kiss is rough. Messy. Tongue pushing past your lips like he’s trying to claim every part of you.
You whimper, clutching at his hoodie. “W-wait, what—?”
“You smiled at him,” he hisses against your lips.
You blink. “Who—?”
“That fucker by the vending machines.”
Your breath catches. “He was just being nice…”
He laughs, but it’s humorless. “You really believe that?”
You swallow. “I didn’t think—”
“That’s the problem. You never think when it comes to this shit.”
His tone isn’t cruel, but it’s sharp. Laced with frustration. With something worse.. hurt. As if your smile had cut him in ways you didn’t even understand.
“I’m sorry,” you say, voice small. “I didn’t mean to upset you—”
He kisses you again. Harder. Teeth clashing.
“You didn’t upset me,” he growls. “He did. But watching you smile at him like that… like you enjoyed it…”
“I didn’t,” you whisper.
But he doesn’t stop.
His hands are already under your shirt, calloused fingers skating across your ribs, making you shiver.
“You don’t get it, do you?” he murmurs darkly. “You don’t see how guys look at you. You think they just want to be friends?”
Your silence answers for you.
His hand slides up your thigh, under your skirt. You gasp when his fingers brush your inner thigh, the heat of him pressed between your legs.
“They want you,” he breathes, dragging his lips down your jaw, to your neck. “They want to take you from me. And you don’t even fucking notice.”
His touch is rough, almost desperate, like he’s trying to erase the idea of anyone else from your skin.
“I didn’t do anything wrong,” you say softly, trembling.
“I know,” he mutters, dragging your panties down. “You never do.”
Then, lower, much lower he rasps, “But you need to remember who this belongs to.”
You inhale sharply when he dips his head, mouth brushing against your core.
“I—I didn’t know someone could be this jealous…”
He looks up, eyes blazing.
“You think this is just jealousy?” His voice drops an octave. “I love you so much it makes me crazy.”
Then he slides his tongue along your folds.
You choke on your breath, hand flying to your mouth to muffle the moan. Your other hand buries in his hair, gripping tightly as his tongue moves with skill you didn’t know someone like him had.
“You’re already soaked,” he murmurs against you. “You liked me getting jealous, didn’t you?”
“N-no, I—”
“Liar.”
He fucks you with his tongue until your thighs shake.
Then he stands, pulling you to him. Lifting you with one strong arm under your thighs, he carries you to the piano bench and sets you down, your legs spread around him.
His pants drop. You barely see it happen, your eyes are half lidded with need, your breath uneven.
He doesn’t ask.
He slides in deep, all at once.
You cry out, your hands flying to his shoulders.
He’s big, he always is and this position makes it even deeper. You squirm, gasping his name.
“I know,” he groans, forehead resting against yours. “I know it’s a lot.”
But he doesn’t stop.
He won’t.
His hips begin to move slow at first, then faster. He grunts softly each time he sinks into you, the wet sound of your bodies filling the small room.
“You’re mine,” he whispers again and again. “Mine. Mine. Mine.”
“Yours,” you gasp, clinging to him like a lifeline. “Only yours.”
Your body wraps around him like you were made for him. His thrusts hit deep, dragging broken sounds from your throat.
You cry out when he hits that perfect spot inside you again. And again. And again.
“Look at me,” he demands, voice wrecked. “I want to see your face when I make you come.”
You do.
You look up at him, eyes wide and shining with emotion and he shatters.
“Fuck, I love you.”
Then your orgasm slams into you like a wave, blinding, breath stealing, intense. You moan, body shaking, clinging to him with everything you have.
He follows seconds later, hips jerking as he empties inside you, groaning your name.
When it’s over, he doesn’t move.
He stays pressed against you, arms around your waist, face buried in your shoulder.
You’re both breathing hard.
Your fingers stroke his hair.
“…You okay now?” you whisper.
He laughs quietly. “No.”
You blink.
He lifts his head. “Because I know I’ll feel this again. The second someone else even looks at you.”
You smile sadly. “You can’t keep getting mad at me for being… me.”
“I know.” He kisses your collarbone. “But I can remind you who you belong to.”
You cup his cheek.
“You don’t have to remind me.”
He closes his eyes, leaning into your hand.
“…I still will.”

Letter from Nintendo to the Donkey Kong 64 development team at Rare, regarding the planned, but ultimately unused Stop'n'Swap functionality in the game.
The original plan was to be able to let data be transferred between Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong 64 via very quickly removing one cartridge from the Nintendo 64 and inserting another, with a peculiarity of the system allowing the RAM to persist for a short time, allowing some information to be retained between games.
However, as pointed out in the letter, Nintendo had concerns about this functionality not being possible on later revisions of the hardware, as well as about the safety of the procedure, causing them to ask Rare to cut the feature. The game contains various unused content related to it, such as a Banjo-Kazooie-themed fridge in Donkey Kong's treehouse.

They Came From Below: Lore, Barks, Etc.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_001 Portals! She was always talking about portals, but I never thought she’d actually be able to make one
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_002 My God! She did it! She made a portal! … Why didn't she tell us?
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_003 She captured a robot?
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_004 I knew it! Motilene's from outer space!
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_005 The robots know how to talk?
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_006 So they've got a whole language! And she decoded it! … Apparently by torturing a robot.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_007 So the motilene just magically appears in Wellington Wells because she periodically opens portals?
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_008 More kidnapped robots.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_009 So there's at least one robot who can speak English! I'd love to meet him. If she didn't torture him to death.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_010 Sounds like the robots were trying to defend themselves from her.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_011 She's talking about making the robots into farming tools???
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_012 Nice she won't torture them any more. Just make them into willing slaves.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_013 I wonder if we'd ever have got together, if things had been different.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_014 I wonder how much he really understands me. I wonder how much I really understand him.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_015 Of course it's our fault. It's never her fault.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_016 I suppose she's right about the bees.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_017 There goes Moo, always worrying.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_018 Those were fantastic pies.
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_019 Why don't we farm any more? We used to farm?
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_020 What's the activator?
Lore_FL1_PC_Rog_021 So this device is… part of a robot's head?
Pickup_Lore_001_PC_Rog Not exactly the King's English. Makes a dodgy kind of sense if you squint at it…
Pickup_Lore_002_PC_Rog Ah. We are alliterating.
Pickup_Lore_003_PC_Rog The poor sod seems to admire us.
Pickup_Lore_004_PC_Rog It wants to be a real boy. Oh dear God.
Pickup_Lore_005_PC_Rog Robo-renegades? Did Dr. F lose control of these things?
Pickup_Lore_006_PC_Rog Oh my. Hannibal ad portas.
Pickup_Lore_007_PC_Rog What would Moo and I do for Dr. F? Not that… I hope.
Pickup_Lore_008_PC_Rog That gadget could certainly be handy.
Pickup_Lore_009_PC_Rog I guess tempus doesn't have to fugit.
Pickup_Lore_010_PC_Rog Who dares wins, I suppose.
Pickup_Lore_011_PC_Rog Seems Fortune is getting a bit tired of favouring the bold.
Pickup_Lore_012_PC_Rog Good night sweet Prince. And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
rog-atk-1 And stay down!
rog-atk-2 And Moo thinks he's the only soldier.
rog-atk-3 Into the Valley of Death rode the six hundred.
rog-atk-4 Welcome to Wellington Wells!
rog-atk-5 The villainy you teach me, I shall execute.
rog-atk-6 In Flanders Fields the poppies grow.
rog-atk-7 Lovely day for it.
rog-atk-8 There has got to be a better way.
rog-atk-9 All quiet on the Western Front.
rog-atk-10 This fighting business really takes it out of you.
rog-bench-1 Nice to take a load off.
rog-bench-2 Don't mind me. Just reading the paper.
rog-bench-3 What news on the Rialto?
rog-cheery-1 Lovely day for it!
rog-cheery-2 Lovely weather, isn't it?
rog-cheery-3 Jolly good!
rog-cheery-4 Don't you look smart!
rog-cheery-5 Marvelous, isn't it?
rog-cheery-6 Spiffing weather!
rog-cheery-7 There you are!
rog-cheery-8 Got your note on the blower. Brilliant!
rog-comes-to-1 Dulce et decorum, eh?
rog-comes-to-2 Remind me not to do that again.
rog-comes-to-3 Moo is going to be so mad at me.
rog-comes-to-4 I mustn't die. Who would Moo take care of?
rog-comes-to-5 If this is Hell, someone needs a better imagination.
rog-comes-to-7 I suppose I can still make something of myself.
rog-comes-to-8 The trick is not minding that it hurts.
rog-comes-to-9 Stiff upper lip, Rog.
rog-later-1 Thanks!
rog-later-2 This will be very helpful.
rog-later-3 I'll be off now.
rog-loothuman-1 Sorry. Needs must.
rog-loothuman-2 I'll get you a new one.
rog-loothuman-3 It's for the best, I hope.
rog-loothuman-4 Sharing is caring. Right?
rog-oob-1 Come on. Old college try.
rog-oob-2 Come on. For God, for Harry and St. George.
rog-oob-3 Come on. Orando laborando.
rog-oob-4 <breathes heavily>
rog-oob-5 <breathes heavily>
rog-oob-6 <breathes heavily>
rog-oob-7 <breathes heavily>
rog-oob-8 <breathes heavily>
rog-overwhelmed-1 Don't be stupid, you can't carry all of this!
rog-overburdened-1 You're going to have to leave some of the impedimenta behind.
rog-overburdened-2 You can't have everything. Well, you certainly can't carry it.
rog-overburdened-3 This is going to get rather tedious if I don't drop some things.
rog-overburdened-4 Whew! Where's a porter when you need one?
rog-purchase-1 Could I have one of those?
rog-purchase-2 That one looks good.
rog-purchase-3 Haven't seen one of those in a while.
rog-purchase-4 That could come in handy.
rog-purchase-5 I think I'm supposed to get one of those.
rog-stealth-1 Hardly cricket, is it?
rog-stealth-2 I hope this doesn't hurt.
rog-stealth-3 Doesn't feel right, sneaking like this.
rog-stealth-5 I hope Moo's impressed.
rog-stealth-6 I wonder if it knows what's happening to it.
rog-stealth-7 I wonder if it feels.
rog-stealth-8 I'm amazed this even works!
James_greetRog-1 Pup.
James_greetRog-2 Puppy.
James_greetRog-3 Try to be sensible, Pup?
James_greetRog-4 Don't do anything stupid!
James_greetRog-5 Don't do anything rash!
James_greetRog-6 Try to stay in one piece, would you?
James_greetRog-7 I never know quite what you're thinking.
James_greetRog-8 What are you up to…?
James_greetRog-9 You're too clever by half, Pup.
James_greetRog-10 You think too much.
James_greetRog-11 Shut up, you.
Realized that because I did not collect the lines for this DLC in bulk way I had to collect Lightbearer's, I didn't get the barks.
The lore lines having different references seem to indicate that the subplot with Overseer 045 was added later in the development, as was the Chronobomb. I rather like the dimension to the story that 045 provides since otherwise our only real contact with the robots as people is Watson. In fact, what we can glean about Watson's character would be a lot shallower without 045 to compare him to. And 045 has a whole-ass character arc as well. They didn't have to do all that and yet it looks as though it was merely an afterthought, tacked on after the rest of the story had already been decided. Good shit.
Aside from that, a lot of cut gameplay barks. This was the first DLC, but because We All Fall Down actually features even more of these kind of barks for Victoria, I think this was the second they started developing. By this point, I'd guess that they realized they wouldn't need crafting or pensive lines, but expected they'd still need stealth takedowns, out-of-breath barks, and lines for being over-encumbered. The come-to lines maybe points to them not yet knowing they were going to change how the game saves for the DLC's either.
The distinction between the stealth takedowns and the looting lines are interesting. Suggests that they planned for you to choke out robots exclusively, but would maybe have the option of looting the corpses of any people they killed in the village rotunda fight? Intriguing.
