Must say, when an anime portrays it's protagonist as immediately extremely powerful, in a "borderline undefeatable" way, I am immediately less interested in it.

Didn't like it Nanatsu no Taizai(even before it became complete ass), swiftly got sick of it in Overlord, and only liked it in SAO because i was like 12 and I didn't realize the whole anime was ass. One Punch man season 1 was funny tho, haven't seen the rest.

I'm sure some of those stories know what they are doing with it and they don't want to focus on the old journey to getting stronger but MAN, the whole time I'm thinking "will some villain come and shut this guy up".

That is to say, i was gonna watch Frieren, but being recommended the scene of her telling the demon girl to kill herself cuz she has no hope of defeating her has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I get it, old ass elf, the whole story being about the passage of time or something, she would be really powerful. I just don't like it.
