MOTION PICTURE NEWS, May 9, 1925. Heralding a rare moment when the OG United Artists had new releases lined up at roughly the same time.

The OGs had some new allies this season:

This specific project fell through, but Valentine delivered THE EAGLE later that year.

Hart, the first superstar screen cowboy, had been invited to be an OG back in 1919 but chickened out. He finally joined the fold with TUMBLEWEEDS, but then retired from film. Valentine would die in 1926 after one more film, but Gloria Swanson and Buster Keaton would get on board soon afterward. Meanwhile, Griffith made his next two films for Paramount and Chaplin wouldn't have another film ready until 1928.

Luke Cage is having a rough time. Dealing with Cottonmouth, the other Power Man and the Wrecking Crew (with The Defenders). On top of that, he hasn't made money in days and claire temple walked out on him and left for L.A. No wonder he's planning to go and hunt her down. (Luke Cage, Power Man #22):
