Love the reactions to D20′s Neverafter necromancer Snow White but its interesting people are shocked that she looks so goth, Snow’s described in her classic story as having “hair as black as ebony and lips as red as blood”.

I honestly believe the best way to beat the princesses is to make Snow White realize she’s taking away everyone else’s choice and what makes that better then the authors. Just give her a moral crisis.

My read on the Princess situation is that there is a terrible confluence of clinical depression and cult of personality.

They are all so disempowered and traumatised and aware of the unfairness surrounding their lives on a multiversal scale. It's knowledge that crushes them and makes an already hellish existence so much worse.

They are also princesses. Main characters with all the charisma and expectations that come with that. Of course it's them trying to do something in this situation, who else would it be? Town person B whose whole existence is to stand there and clap when a princess's wedding parade goes past.

They say they're fighting to put an end to all of it, to erase existence so that something new might be written. And there is such tremendous hubris in that. This idea that they will wipe everything out and then of course the beings, The Author's that wrote them, will write something new and kinder. Because that's what happens in stories when the heroes sacrifice themselves right?
