Letting my books drop onto the table, I ignored the looks of my fellow students in their free period, knowing I had disturbed someone's intense studying session. Huffing as I sat on the bench, I took a moment to close my eyes and calm myself down.

That had been the worst potions lesson I had ever been to. Snape was somehow in a worse mood than usual, and he was really putting the pressure on us for our exams. As if it wasn't scary enough! My homework had been entirely wrong, I almost blew up the cauldron because I messed up my potion so badly, and no one wanted to concentrate in the lesson, meaning Snape gave us all detentions and took house points away.

However, I had no time to relax. I had to keep studying. If I wanted to leave Hogwarts and get my dream job, I had to get excellent marks in my exams. Just a few months ago, I had been doing really well, I was gradually making my way to the top of the class. But that's when everything went downhill, slow at first before it totally snowballed.

It started at the Yule Ball. George had been kind enough to be my date. Me and my friends were ecstatic to go dress shopping, it was extremely rare that we could wear dresses like this. And getting ready in our dorm was thrilling, all of us were giggling and complimenting each other the entire time. But it was as we started the evening that I began to grow conscious.

There were a few Slytherins whispering to each other, their eyes on me as they smirked and smugly chuckled. I brushed it off at first until I saw some Ravenclaws joining in. What was wrong with my dress? Had I spilt something on it? Was my hair out of place? George had to constantly pull me away from any mirror, joking that I loved myself a bit too much, but that was far from it. Everyday since then I made sure I looked my best for classes. I always took pride in my appearance but I was always looking around, checking that no one was staring. More and more flaws started to appear, I could point out multiple things I wanted to change about myself. I didn't eat as much as I used to, I would hold back my tears as I asked for opinions on my outfits, wanting to know if I looked horrendous, though not wanting to embarrass myself. It was exhausting but I had to do it. I had to try to cover up my ugliness.

"Oh come on (Y/N), no one actually studies in here." George suddenly plopped down beside me, closing the book I had just opened.

I gestured around me."So everyone here are just staring at their books and doodling?"

"Probably."

"I really need to revise George. I know you won't sit quietly beside me so you can either help me or go away."

"Right, you're studying Herbology. So, let's go where the vegetation is."

"What?"

"Outside!"

I rolled my eyes, knowing that I would waste more time arguing with him than I would actually going along with his plans. He scooped up my books with a grin as he saw me stand up, joyfully strolling beside me. George could always make me feel better, he was one of my closest friends. We didn't always get to hang out everyday either, but I think that just proved how good our friendship was; we didn't have to spend every waking minute together in fear that we would lose touch with one another.

He merrily talked about his day, explaining more ideas he and Fred had for practical jokes. I nodded along, trying hard to concentrate, but my eyes were darting all over the place, noticing people looking at us. There had been rumours we were dating, that always happened when a boy and girl were spotted together. I feared people would compare me to George, wondering why someone who looked like I did was hanging around with him. He was popular, the twins were the class clowns, well school clowns, they were loved by everyone. And here I was, looking like an outcast next to him.

"You taking your robe off? The sun's finally decided to make an appearance this year." George asked as we made it outside.

I shook my head."No, I'm fine like this. There's still a bit of a breeze."

George shrugged, and my heart rate slowed. I thought he was going to ask more questions, maybe even try to take it off me as a joke. After a few minutes of George rambling on, I relaxed again. He had led us to an open patch of grass, placing down his robe as a blanket before lying down on it. I rolled my eyes as I chuckled at him, sitting down as well. He was right about the weather, it really was a beautiful day, and I was really was starting to feel the heat under my robes.

“So, how is this supposed to help me study?” I asked as I looked down at him.

He tucked his arms under his head, cheekily grinning at me.“I don’t know, maybe you need some flowers for a potion?”

I laughed.“Really George?”

“I don’t know, I don’t pay too much attention. They’re nice to look at anyway.”

I looked around, silently agreeing with him. Hogwarts truly was magnificent, especially in the summer when everything bloomed and the colours returned to the landscape. Maybe I did need this, I needed a moment to just take a breath; if I was tense all the time, it would just get to me and I would never revise properly. Although I didn’t need to collect any ingredients, I thought having a few flowers in the common room would be a nice touch. I sat up on my knees observing the flowers around me, trying to decide how to arrange them.

"Someone's perked up. Told you getting out would be good for you." George smugly said.

I looked at him over my shoulder."I'm thinking about picking some flowers for the Hufflepuff common room, don't flatter yourself."

"Whatever you say."

"I actually think I've got some scissors in my bag."

Easily finding the pair, I smiled as I turned back around to start cutting the flowers, laying them down on top of each other as I collected them. My sleeves kept getting caught on the long grass and flowers, making it awkward when I started cutting, and I instinctively rolled my sleeves up. George had been so silent, I assumed he was still lying down. I would he quick, he couldn't see.

Happy with my pile, I pushed my sleeves back down, putting the scissors back in my bag whilst trying to find something to tie the flowers together with. I heard George shuffle around, seeing he had now sat up when I glanced back at him.

"What do you think?" I showed him what I chosen.

"(Y/N)," George started, sounding hesitant,"why did you cut those flowers?"

I looked at him confused."Um, because they were beautiful?"

"But you do it to yourself because you don't think you're beautiful?"

He had seen. Shit, how was I supposed to explain this? I couldn't say I had scratched myself in some sort of class, or by an animal, there were too many marks. I was panicking, desperate to come up with something so we wouldn't have to face this issue. Maybe I should have leapt to my feet and ran away, it was better than facing the consequences.

"Normally I would say if you don't want to talk about it now, that's fine, do it when you're ready. But I feel like we would never get to this topic if we did it that way. You're my best friend (Y/N), I'm here for you, you can tell me anything."

"I...I don't want to talk about it."

"You don't want to, but you have to. How long has this been going on?"

I ducked my head down."Since the Yule Ball."

"What?! That was months ago!"

"So?"

"So-" George stopped, taking a second before speaking again,"so, this has been going on for a while then?"

I nodded.

"What started it?"

"There were some people at the ball making fun of the way I look. I didn't take much notice at first but it continued in the night. I heard people comment on my figure and how the dress was an awful colour of me. And since then I've noticed more and more people looking at me, judging how I look when we’re all wearing the same uniform!”

“I had no idea.”

“You wouldn’t have, no one would, that’s the way I wanted it. No one else should have to deal with my problems. And I was embarrassed to tell someone.”

“You should never feel embarrassed to tell me anything. I know I joke around a lot but that’s because I like to see people happy. I like to see you happy.”

“I know George. But...I don’t know, it’s all just too much.”

I suddenly broke down, covering my face with my hands as I started to cry. My shoulders shook as I sobbed, not able to hold back my whines. George was quick to wrap his arms around me, and I leaned into his embrace, knowing that I needed this; no one had properly checked in on me for a while, and I know I wasn’t anyone else’s responsibility but it was nice to be cared about.

“I’ve been a terrible friend too! I wouldn’t go shopping with my friends or out to eat or to buy treats because I’m so conscious! What if someone saw me trying on a top that made me look hideous and I didn’t know it? Or saw me eating like the pig I am? My friends might have made me try something on or say something that would set me off, and I know they wouldn’t mean it like that but I was so afraid George.”

“It’s OK, it’s OK, you’ve had a lot on your mind.”

“Urgh, I’m just so conflicted at the moment. We’ve got exams coming up too so that’s not helping.”

“Hey, look at me.”

I wiped away my tears and did as he asked.

“Let’s take a deep breath.”

I copied his actions, slowly inhaling then exhaling, having a few seconds to compose myself.

“It’s OK to cry (Y/N). By the looks of it, you needed to let that all out. I can tell that’s been bottled up inside you. You were like one of Seamus’ potions, ready to blow up at any minute.”

I showed a weak smile, still not properly finished with my episode.“Thank you for letting me rant to you George, I know you just wanted a relaxing afternoon.”

“Anytime (Y/N). But listen, you’re not alone in this. You need to look after yourself, you can’t let school or people’s comments take over your life. And besides, I bet those people were just jealous of your natural beauty. I won’t ever forget how you looked that night.”

I felt my cheeks redden.

“I know you won’t get over this straight away, but I’m going to help you. I’m sorry I caused you to cry, I could have not said anything but...I care about you (Y/N), I just didn’t want to see you hurt.”

“Thank you George. You’re right though.”

“You know you can talk to me anytime, I’ll be your shoulder to cry on, the face you can rant to, or if you need cheering up, I’m here.”

“You don’t know how much that means to me. And I also didn’t know how much I needed someone to talk to.”

He held up his hand in a fist, with his pinky finger extended.“Promise me something? You ever feel low like this again, you come and find me. Even if it’s just to sit in silence with one another or to rant for hours and hours. Deal?”

I quickly nodded, not needing to think. I linked my finger with his, confirming the deal. I could trust George, I always had. And the fact he was being so serious right now meant a lot to me. He grinned at me, and I managed to smile back. Maybe things were going to get better, perhaps George was the first step to recovering, and this would be all better in time.

Feriadão tem Djonga na Baixada Fluminense (+promo)

‘O menino que queria ser Deus’ desembarca novamente na Baixada Fluminense junto do evento Batidas & Rimas, dessa vez em Austin (Nova Iguaçu) para uma noite com cara de festival de rap.

Sensação do rap nacional, Djonga vem de uma sequência de shows na capital carioca direto para uma apresentação mais que especial: “fiquei sabendo que Baixada é cruel”, ele afirmou na sua última passagem pelo território. Para comprovar essa informação, entre as atrações da noite está a prata da casa Marcão Baixada, um dos maiores nomes do rap local que já se apresentou até em outros países.

De volta ao Batidas & Rimas, Dree Beatmaker e DJ Negralha comandam os toca-discos. O DJ residente Júlio Moska também vai pilotar a nave representando o B&R. Estreante no evento, a DJ Tamy e o grupo feminino ABRONCA (do hit ‘Gangsta’, com mais de 1.5 milhão de views no YouTube) fecham a lista de atrações.

O evento terá ainda a intervenção artística SPRAYSOM com Airá o Crespo.

Todo o agito ficará sob o comando dos mestres de cerimônia DaFlor (Ademafia) e Will (Autonomia).
