The Dragon ball fandom hated this guy

For anyone not keeping up: This is Majin Kuu, a new Majin made from a chunk of Majin Buu, DNA of a hot lady (so she can control him), various other unnamed things, and a Saibaman seed (hence why he looks sort of like a Saibaman)

Upon his reveal, the majority of the fandom seemed to hate Majin Kuu based on his appearance alone. After we actually saw him in action and saw his personality, I saw a lot of people change their tune and become endeared to him. Majin Kuu isn't the insane kill happy menace Majin Buu was, but rather, he's just sort of a chill and goofy guy who shockingly understands his own limits, realizing an opponent was beyond him and politely bowing out of the fight

and even apologizing to his master for this

He's also a good singer and pretty fast.

Of course, some Majin Kuu haters couldn't be converted and use this as more fuel for their anti-Kuu agenda. Philistines, the lot of 'em! I just gotta wonder though, what the reaction to Majin Buu would have been like back in the day when he was first revealed if we had social media back then. Episodes spent hyping up the mysterious Majin Buu, a threat that outclasses all villains faced to that point. A menace that even the gods themselves feared. and then...

We had goofy childlike fat buu for 24 episodes before Evil Buu popped out and ate him. Thats 24 weeks of this thing fattin' around

And sure, he eventually became cool and menacing.

But then, in the end, he became...

A complete idiot.
