OKAY SO HERE’S MY FIRST FIC I HOPE Y’ALL LIKE IT, DON’T BURN ME AT STAKE PLEASE.

Okay so some of you may or may not know that I am a sucker for symbolism and all things related to the language of flowers. Expect these upcoming fics to be just about that. And why not kick this off with a fic specifically with god damn Daisy motherfucking Johnson, the love of my life.

In the language of flowers, daisies are a symbol of innocence, loyalty, and beauty.

This takes place between seasons 3 and 4, while Daisy is going rogue.

Eating food by yourself without your girlfriend isn’t fun. Eating food by yourself without your girlfriend because she was on the run because she was a vigilante and you are helpless to do anything about it? That’s just bullshit.

You hated it, every single second of it that Daisy was gone, it was killing you. Even as SHIELD, with the new director and all and the new little ‘Spectrum of Security’ or whatever it’s called annoyed the hell out of you, and it just made your mood even worse. So you decided to take a break, at home, in your apartment, eating food, and watching the news when it came to Daisy. Which honestly made you want to fucking throw the damn television out the fucking window since it was talking nothing but shit about your girl.

With a huff, you turn off the tv, and throw the remote on the couch before standing up and beginning to put away the dishes of your dinner. As you passed the fridge, you could not help but notice the pair of photos stuck on the door, pinned by a pair of smiley faced and flower shaped magnets…daisy-shaped magnets. They were pictures of you and Daisy, smiling, having fun…just…being…happy. You felt tears prick your eyes, and shake your head, turning away from the pictures. You dumped your dishes into the sink and headed into the bathroom, stripping yourself of your clothes and turning on the shower.

The warm water soothed your skin, the stress slowly easing away from your body.

Tik tik, tik tik tik

You glance around the bathroom, startled by the noise. Was it the clock?

Tik tik tik tik

No…it wasn’t the clock. It sounded like…a lock being picked. Slowly you grab a bathrobe, slipping it on and somewhat tying the knot. You pick up your gun as you walk down the hall, back towards the living room, towards the door. Who the hell was trying to break into your apartment?! Aiming the muzzle at the door, your finger had yet to touch the trigger when the sound of creaking hinges caught your ears. The door was opening, and you could see a shadow of someone entering with something in their hands. You swallowed your fear, waiting…

“Babe?” you nearly dropped the gun when it was none other than Daisy god damn Johnson who walked through your door, a bouquet of flowers in one hand and the other in a sling. “Babe, I’m ho-“ the Inhuman suddenly went silent when she entered the cozy apartment, her brown eyes scanning your somewhat nude body, smirking. “So…you were taking a shower without me? Or were you getting ready for something else? Got a hot date or something?” she asked with a wink.

Your felt heat rush to your cheeks, grumbling as you turn your back to Daisy and tied the knot at your waist properly. “Excuse you, I was taking a shower when you decided to fucking pick the lock of my apartment. I gave you the keys didn’t I?”

“Yeah, but I left those keys behind. I didn’t want to like…lead people back to you or anything.” Daisy answered; she was right, she had left her keys to your apartment behind when she had left SHIELD.

“I can take care of myself Daisy.” You hiss out, turning around to meet the eye of your girlfriend, arms at your hips. “What the hell have you been doing? Going off alone and doing dangerous stuff. And judging from that sling of yours,” you gestured to the object on her right arm. “You broke something.”

“I know, I know. But,” Daisy began to walk closer, pausing to stop and place the bouquet on the kitchen counter. Her now free hand reached out to gently cup your cheek, leaning in and pressing your foreheads together. “It was the only way…to protect you.” Her voice was starting to crack, and you could see tears beginning to form at the corner of her eyes. “I don’t want you to die for me…and after what Lincoln did for us…I…”

“Damn it Daisy, that’s why I’m here. I’m your girlfriend! I’m always here for you.” You let out a long sigh, your hand atop Daisy’s that was placed at your cheek. “You’re stupid.” “Mhm, but you still love me, don’t you?” Daisy chuckled out, leaning in closer and closer, your lips barely a centimeter apart.

“Actually, I am tempted to break up with you.” You state, lightly pushing Daisy away. “For all of this shit you pulled, you’re still lucky I love you.” The words were nothing more than mere fodder, having no real weight upon them. “I’m surprised you even came back here…since you’re on the run and all.”

Daisy merely shrugged her shoulders, “Well, I can’t leave my girl behind, especially when I come in here and she’s practically almost nude.” Says the woman with a wiggle of her eyebrows.

You scoff, rolling your eyes, the blush returning to your cheeks. “Yeah yeah whatever.” You brush that comment off. “Say,” you begin to untie the knot of your robe, smirking as you noticed how intently Daisy is staring at you now. Turning you back to her, you slowly let the robe fall past your shoulders, “Why don’t you join me in the shower? I mean…I am kind of lonely.”

You hear Daisy hum in thought, and feel an arm wrap around your waist, her lips kissing your bare shoulder, sending shivers down your spine, and heat began to pool between your legs. “If you can help me strip, I’d love to.”

The rest of the night was…eventful to say the least, some rounds of passionate lovemaking followed by cuddling one another in sleep, making sure not to harm Daisy’s broken arm of course.

The next morning however, you were cold. When you had woken up, the bed was empty, and instead the bouquet of flowers that Daisy had brought in had replaced her. A note was inside the bunches of flowers.

Hey babe, sorry I left. I had to be somewhere. I got daisies for you, so you can always think of me. I love you, and I’ll miss you while I’m on the run. But no matter what, I’ll always come back to you. I promise
