  “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.” #drsuess When we were first starting out, figuring out our style, I was instantly drawn to the “fine art” style. The photography that was soft, romantic and very posed (think perfume ad) and for the most part, lacked color. I kept trying to imitate that look, but it never felt right or true to who I was and what I wanted to create. So I decided to go off the deep end (ha!) and created my own interpretation of “fine art” which instead showed immense joy, happiness, and color and based our entire brand and look off of that. Low and behold, we started book clients that said “We were instantly drawn to your photos because of how joyful people are and your use of color!” 😍 So the moral of the story is two part: You can be inspired by people, but the best product you will ever create will come from within and secondly, it may take some time and no you won’t attract every couple, but you WILL attract the ones that are perfect for you. 🥰😘❤️ . . .   Mount Bonnell: One of the most beautiful places in Austin also the place where the boy asked me to be his wife 💍. Only 3 months until we say ‘I do’ in a field in Lithuania surrounded by friends and family. 🌿 It’s also one of the reasons why I have neglected sunnydei.com and this account. My focus had shifted to establishing our new life in a new country. Making friends, setting up our home (buying everything from forks to a car), planning the wedding remotely 😅😅😅 and starting my own business! 16 years ago I was laying in a hospital bed scared for all the new things that were going to happen. My water broke at 10am on July 10th. I recall it being a Wednesday. No one ever told me what that would be like. I was scared. I thought I peed myself. Until I realized, it was in fact my water that broke. I was about to have a baby. 21 years old, I still wasn’t ready. I don’t think anyone is ever truly ready for a baby. At least to prepare you, for how your world will change. 23 hours of labor, what I thought was going to be a simple thing ended up being the most terrifying thing I could have ever experienced. Not knowing if my baby was ok, pain, I’ll never forget the pain. Then it all went away as soon as I heard his cry. Boy, did I cry with him. So much joy that day. I didn’t realize I could love someone so much. My baby boy, was born. They say that when you have your first child, you’re always so over protective. I know I was with mine. I didn’t want him to cry. I wished someone would tell you and prepare you and tell you what each different cry is. On the eve of my eldest son’s birthday, nostalgia seeps in and I can’t help but feel so grateful for the life I have and for the passion that is photography to me.
