I'm back!! And today I brought an old oc that I had to dust off :,V He was still nameless buuuut for the purpose of today I christen him with the name, Pierce.

He was the 'main weapon' for an evil organization tempering with human DNA in a magical girl story I cooked as a baby teen where the protagonist is a transgirl. As he was being transported to a new facility, his truck capsized and got lose to the city. He'd caused a lot of mayhem before the protagonist found him fighting with her neighbor. He was pretty much feral and aggressive to everyone. Her calm demeanor tamed him, and he followed her around for the rest of the night, leaning new things about the world and his emotions.

In a second as she turned her back to get something for him, he was taken, and successfully transported back to continue his tests. The people in charge hoped this was just a small blunder and their subject wasn't 'contaminated.' But his memories of that night stayed, and on his first mission sent to stop a new threat to his masters, he was overjoyed to see her again. She doesn't know its him due to his transformation.

As soon as the battle is over, plans on seeking her out. He finds her, and shes glad to see him alright. From the start, he's upfront about his feelings for her, something that she finds charming but scary. She wants to take it slow, start off as friends, and he agrees to it (while still trying out cheeky stunts) but.

The missions are getting riskier and he can't keep faking his losses. These jobs are too dangerous. He can't risk losing her.

He settles that there's only one way to protect her. By convincing his masters that she can be an asset, and planning on 'convincing' her to join.

From the amazing trio of Bang Chan, Felix, and Seungmin, you can expect nothing less than a song that will stuck in your head for a long time. The phonk sound with a pinch of Stray Kids' signature ODDINARY album sounds will make you want nothing more than to stand up to everything and everyone around you just to be yourself.

4. Promise

This song from Hyunjin and I.N has only seemingly innocent lyrics. The sweet melody gradually turns into almost orchestral music filled with suffering. "Promise" is a veritable rollercoaster of emotions that perfectly describes the state of longing for someone who was never ours.

5. Firewell

The fire is burning, you can't do anything about it anymore. I am here, holding your hand, but the fire will not stop. We can only watch until we find ourselves in the flames. Only then will there be a farewell to the past.

Accepting ourselves and trying to be the best version of ourselves at the same time are values that Stray Kids have been teaching us for a long time. Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do for ourselves is to break with the past, but we can't completely forget it either, because it's what shaped us - that's what Stray Kids talk about in this lively song, in which an electric guitar takes center stage for the first time. Also once again, we get the great wordplay of combining Fire with Farewell - fire plays a key role in the song when saying a symbolic goodbye to the past.

hyunjin and jeongin are the only ones who wrote a unit song specially for the album. they wrote it in one night.

firewell was written by 3RACHA at a similar time to The Sound and was originally intended to be in Japanese.

there is a physical version of the album, but it can only be purchased by fanclub members.

Masquerade Ball

Malam semakin larut ketika musik dansa berganti menjadi suara letusan kembang api yang mewarnai gelapnya langit. Berpasang-pasang mata menghentikan dansa dan berderap menuju balkon terdekat. Riuh terdengar sorakan dan suara takjub para tamu undangan.

Kiu's POV

Segalanya terasa sangat istimewa karena penyelenggara pesta memberikan bentuk-bentuk kembang api yang unik. Semua orang sibuk berfoto sembari bertukar obrolan dengan orang terdekat mereka. Tapi tidak dengan seorang gadis yang memegang gelas cocktailnya sambil memperhatikan kembang api dari sisi balkon yang cukup sepi.

Pesta ini mulai terasa membosankan untukku ketika suara kembang api terdengar diikuti dengan sorak sorai manusia di sekitarnya. Kakiku bergerak dengan sendirinya menuju sumber suara itu. Aku terpaku pada langit yang sedang menunjukkan versi tercantiknya.

Kembang api ini berbeda, ini bukan hanya hamburan api tetapi kembang api ini membentuk suatu wujud yang sungguh elok dilihat. Aku sampai lupa dengan cocktail di tangan kiriku. Ketika kembang api mulai mereda barulah aku teringat akan minuman favoritku itu. Aku hendak menyesap cocktail ketika tangan seseorang menahan gelasku.

“Ada semut yang hinggap.” Ujarnya. Aku tak bisa melihat wajahnya karena topeng yang dikenakannya, tapi dari nada suaranya aku bisa tahu dia lebih muda dariku. Aku pun mengulum senyum seraya berkata.

“Terima kasih. Kau sendirian?” Jawabku sambil menatapnya sekilas lalu melanjutkan yang sempat tertunda. Aku mulai heran karena suaranya kian familiar ketika dia berucap. 

“Ah begitu rupanya. Topengmu tampak bagus. Darimana kau mendapatkannya?” Lanjutku sambil menatap lurus ke dalam maniknya – mencoba menyelami kedua obsidian gelap yang mengingatkanku akan seseorang. 

Harsa’s POV

Aku terdiam, menikmati diriku yang tengah tenggelam dalam lamunan yang dalam di tengah pesta topeng yang meriah itu. Sampai derap langkah kaki memecah pikiranku disusul dengan letusan api yang mewarnai legamnya malam. Para tamu undangan Masquerade Ball berkumpul di balkon untuk melihat kembang api yang tampak indah.

Namun, tidak menurutku. Rasa bosan mulai menyelimuti ku, hingga terlihat pemandangan yang membuatku sedikit takjub. Tampak seorang gadis berdiri seorang diri di sudut balkon yang sepi dan seolah tak tersentuh keramaian. Ia terlihat menikmati sesuatu di tangannya.

Tungkaiku melangkah dengan sendirinya, mendekati gadis itu dan menahan tangannya yang akan menyesap minuman di tangannya itu. Ah, dia meminum cocktail? 

“Ada semut yang hinggap,” ujarku yang dibalas dengan senyuman darinya. Namun, kalimatku tampak tak diindahkannya dan ia tetap menyesap minumannya itu.

“Tidak masalah. Ya, aku sendirian. Tapi, tadi sempat bertemu dengan teman baru. Bagaimana denganmu?” Setelah dipikir-pikir aku merasa familiar dengan suaranya. Seperti pernah mendengarnya di suatu tempat. Tapi, di mana? 

“Topengku? Aku membelinya di toko antik sudut 34th street. Milikmu juga bagus, Nona.” Wajahku menoleh padanya dan menatap obsidian cerah itu lamat-lamat. Meniti raut wajah gadis di hadapanku yang seolah tengah mencoba mengingat sesuatu.

“Aku ingin bertanya, apakah kita pernah bertemu sebelumnya?”

Kiu's POV 

Aku hendak menyatakan kebingunganku ketika dia akhirnya menyuarakannya terlebih dahulu.

“Tunggu, toko antik di 34th street? Oh aku mengenal baik pemiliknya, Mr. Ed bukan? Aku adalah pengunjung tetapnya. Dulu aku sempat melihat seorang anak seumurku yang suka berburu barang antik di sana  setiap musim panas. Itu… kau?” Aku akhirnya melepaskan dart berisi runtutan pertanyaan. Kepalaku tiba-tiba saja membuka memori lama di salah satu tempat ternyamanku.

Dia tampak mengangguk bingung, mengiyakan. Aku bisa melihat sekelebat sorot mata penasaran menghinggapi kedua matanya sebelum akhirnya sepasang mata itu berbinar penuh arti, ya dia sudah mengingat siapa aku.

“Kau tampak sangat berbeda sekarang. Topeng ini juga membantumu berkamuflase dengan baik, Asa.” Gurauku

Dia tertawa dan ternyata tebakanku benar. Dia adalah Asa, laki-laki pengoleksi bahan antik yang sering kutemui dulu ketika rumahku masih berada di area sudut 34th Street. Lalu setelah kepindahan orang tuaku, mau tidak mau frekuensi berkunjungku berkurang dan tidak lagi kutemui dirinya. Maka malam itu, aku sukses mendapatkan kembali seorang teman lama kemudian terlarut dalam obrolan seru ditemani dengan suara kembang api. 

Harsa’s POV

Tunggu, bagaimana dia bisa tahu kalau aku suka berburu barang antik di toko Mr. Ed? Aku termenung mendengar runtutan ucapan dari gadis itu. Masih berusaha menggali memori di kepalaku tentang siapa sosok di balik topeng ini?

“Kau.. tahu aku? Jika kita pernah bertemu saat musim panas, itu tandanya saat sedang masa liburan. Aku memang pernah bertemu dengan seorang gadis di sana.”

Aku kembali menatap manik mata cemerlang sang gadis dan teringat dengan kenangan di masa lalu yang hampir saja terkubur di ingatanku. Bibirku mengulas senyuman tanpa disadari. Ya, aku mengingat siapa gadis ini. Mendengar namaku disebut olehnya, aku pun tertawa

“Ya, seharusnya aku bisa berkamuflase dengan baik sampai akhirnya ada orang yang mengenaliku. Ternyata sudah lama sekali, ya, Kiu?”

Aku ‘tak menyangka akan berjumpa dengan kawan lama di pesta topeng yang hampir saja ku sebut membosankan. Kiu, gadis yang sering berkunjung ke toko antik Mr. Ed saat tengah musim panas. Tidak ku sangka dapat menemuinya di situasi ini. Semenjak kepindahan gadis ini, ingatanku bersamanya tenggelam bersama waktu. Lalu, di malam itu kami saling menimpali satu sama lain dengan perbincangan hangat. Diiringi hias kembang api di langit membuat perjumpaan kami semakin berkesan.
