"Oh~ the stars seemed to have granted me another traveler to meet! Oh, and how handsome you are!~ you are quite tiny from the other beings I've met..."

-> The prince hums, glancing up at the god before him. He smiles, bowing slightly as his tail swishes. "I am no mere traveler, my friend. I am Stargazer, Prince of The Cosmos and son to the King of The Cosmos."

She tilts her head and touches the stove WITH HER BARE HANDS! She don’t react though and slowly pulled her hand away to examine it.
“It’s quite the perfect tempter for cooking! I would like to see how well it looks when your done Darling~”
“Something smells good Darling!~ oh I think you are quite the excellent cook!”
A very tall woman with a large hat and veil appears next to the deity out of thin air. She looks quite fancy and very interested in what Ghostwalker is doing.
@ms-dark-space
He's caught off guard with the unfamiliar presence & voice. He doesn't recognize this woman, nor has he heard of her before. He's a little bewildered.
He whips around, waving at the woman with a nervous chuckle. He was standing over at the stove in his rather large & achromatic kitchen, making- a soup of some sort? He had all sorts of herbs & veggies chopped up...
"Why thank you- I.. made the recipe myself. I'm just making it for old times' sake..."

Random small thing but when Darkspace got wings he had no idea how to fly (obviously) so sometimes you'd hear a crash followed by a quite "ow..." and you'd check and it's Subspace who just crashed into a wall.
Interactions like this was normal in Blackrock before he left:
"Hey, where's Subspace? He's meant to be overseeing an experiment-"
*CRASH*
"...I think he's in that general direction"
"ah"
Like yeah he's insane and powerful but I need to see him fumble because it's funny to hurt his ego lol.
yes just yes he will fumble with them barely countable as wings

Don’t Tell Ryder; II: Oh Look! Angara!
Chapter 2 of Dont Tell Ryder (Master List)
Pairing: Evfra de Tershaav + OC
Words: 2948
As Cassiel came off the Tempest, stepping into the sunlight, she made sure her hands were up by her head, visible to the many aliens pointing guns in her direction. They were tall, in the same height range as Turians, while their skin resembled a salarian’s, though more vibrant in color. Cassiel almost stopped short when she made eye contact with one of them, convinced she was looking into a galaxy. She kept moving, however, when she took note of the brow ridge furrowed in hatred just above those eyes… or at least that’s what she assumed the look was, one never knew how facial expressions translated across alien species.
Cassiel was met with a group of helmeted soldiers, speaking among each other as one of them pulled out a scanner. Cassiel nodded at them, unsure if a verbal greeting would be appreciated, and once the alien finished scanning her, they motioned her forward, towards a group of five aliens, a bright blue one standing slightly forward from the others.
“I’m Paaran Shie, governor of Aya,” she, or at least Cassiel assumed they were female, introduced herself, Cassiel’s translator, or more probably SAM, finally picking up the language. “We are the angara,”. Cassiel bowed her head slightly in greeting.
“Hello, I’m Cassiel Ryder, I’m with the Pathfinding team for the Initiative,” she said, craning her neck to look up at the angara, who was naturally already much taller than herself, and up a couple of stairs from her.
“Yes,” she confirmed in monotone. Or was it monotone? Perhaps the translator wasn’t picking up emotional intonation? You crossed darkspace, I’ve heard of your journey,”. The governor was cut off when a purple angara wearing a blue poncho-like garment quickly strode up to her, turning to face Cassiel. “Jaal, I have this in hand,” the governor said, reaching a hand out to the male, who Cassiel assumed was named Jaal. The angara simply turned his head back to her as he descended the steps.
“Evfra saw the ship come in, and sent me to find out what’s going on,” he explained, slowly stalking down the steps towards Cassiel.
“She’s a human from another galaxy, with the… Pathfinder,” Paaran Shie introduced the woman, who shifted her weight from one side to the other, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear in a display of nerves. It occurred to her that she hadn’t identified her race… perhaps they had been eavesdropping on Initiative transmissions? Not impossible. Or maybe they had run into the Exiles.
“Aya is hidden,” Jaal said as he got in Cassiel’s face, leaning down so his eyes were level with hers. “Protected,” he stressed. “What do you want?”
“We are really sorry about this! We didn’t really want to land on your planet… on fire,” she cringed, her apology sounding pitiful even to her own ears.
“Oh, good,” Jaal said, backing up with a sarcastic demeanor. “Because that would have been a… particularly bad plan,” Cassiel eyes widened as the serious male made a joke. Cassiel gave him a small smile.
“Uh… yeah, yeah it would’ve,” she agreed. Jaal straightened to his full height once more, giving Cassiel a once over before turning back to the governor.
“I’ll inform Evfra, he’ll be waiting for you in his office at the Resistance Headquarters,” he informed, walking back up the steps and continuing the way he came. “I’ll meet you there,”
“I will accompany you through our city,” Paaran Shie said, though by the stress Aya’s governor put on the word accompany, Cassiel knew that Paaran Shie was more of a babysitter. “Your crew will stay on your ship, follow me,” she ordered, turning and beginning to make her way towards wherever this “Resistance Headquarters” was. Cassiel took the order, following at a far enough distance as not to make anyone nervous. When Cassiel reached the top of the stairs, Paaran Shie turned back around to face her. “Follow closely, do not try to explore the city or interact with anyone,” she stressed. “Evfra’s guards will use force if necessary,” Cassiel nodded in understanding.
“Yes, of course, I understand,” Cassiel said as the bright blue woman began to walk again. “Would it be alright if I asked you questions?” she sought, and Paaran Shie sighed.
“I suppose,” she confirmed, and Cassiel smiled slightly, glad that she could at least sate some of her curiosity in the present moment.
“If you’re the governor of Aya, why do I need to see this Evfra person?” she asked.
“He’s the leader of the Resistance,” Paaran Shie answered curtly, not really answering Cassiel’s question. Or perhaps she was, to someone who knew the angara, but Cassiel was completely blind here, figuratively, at least.
“What is The Resistance?” she asked.
“They fight the kett,” Paaran Shie said. “And protect us,” she added as an afterthought. So a sort of military. Cassiel thought.
As they walked down a flight of stairs, a group of what Cassiel assumed were civilians were peering over the shoulders of some guards. There were murmurings of curiosity.
“They should lock it up,” Cassiel heard one say, and she flinched slightly at the hatred in the woman’s words and voice. SAM piped up before Cassiel could dwell further on the comment.
“I detect unusual levels of electro-static energy in the angara,” he said, and Cassiel nodded her head slightly to confirm that she heard him, though he’d likely know anyway.
There were more murmurings from the crowd, many voices fearful. Cassiel looked down, saddened to know that this race was so weary of outsiders, probably because of the Kett. Cassiel was shocked, however, when a large goat-like creature nudged through the crowd to approach her. It was 4 feet tall, standing on all six of its legs, with a long tail and green fur. The way it moved and looked at her with eyes similar to that of the angara reminded Cassiel of a dog, and she instinctively put her hand out for it to sniff.
She barely noticed the guards tense, raising their guns a little higher in case the alien were to try anything. The creature approached her without fear, sniffing at her hand and then nudging its nose into it. Cassiel smiled softly as the creature rubbed against her hand, getting closer and closer until it was rubbing up against her legs. The crowd gasped, including the guards, seeing this small alien handling a creature with such tenderness.
Paaran Shie stopped when she noticed her tail was missing, turning to look and gasping inaudibly when she saw the display. Her field let out a pulse of surprised energy, but she tried not to let it show on her face, knowing the Initiative species couldn’t sense bioelectricity.
“Keep up,” she called, and Cassiel snapped her head up, looking embarrassed as she jogged to catch up. She was pleased, however, when the creature followed along next to her, and she rested a hand on its back, lightly stroking the fur there.
“None of the local flora register in my data files,” SAM piped up again, and Cassiel nodded minutely, briefly considering taking out her scanner, but deciding against it. It would likely only agitate the guards, and the last thing she wanted was to get shot because she wanted to know why a plant was glowing. Regardless, Cassiel did some scanning with her eyes, observing the beautiful flora and pretty architecture, nice blue and green awnings protecting the city’s inhabitants from the sun.
“This place is… beautiful,” she said breathlessly as she took in the waterfall they were passing.
“Thank you, you are the first outsider to see it,” Paaran Shie admitted, the thanks sounding awkward.
“I’m truly honored,” Cassiel responded with the same soft smile she had directed towards the creature, and said creature nudged her side a little when she stopped stroking its fur, causing her to continue with the stroking. “Alright, alright, I’m sorry I stopped petting you,” she mumbled, and Paaran Shie’s head tilted.
“What was that?” she asked, and Cassiel blushed.
“Oh… um, I was just apologizing to this… creature, because it didn’t want me to stop petting it,” she said, ducking her head. Paaran Shie surprisingly let out a little chuckle at the adorable little human.
“They are very affectionate creatures,” she said with a shrug, a light smile gracing her face, and Cassiel found that the woman was quite pretty, in her own alien way.
“This Evfra…” Cassiel paused, thinking of how to phrase her question. “What happens if he doesn’t like me?” she asked, and Paaran Shie scoffed.
“He won’t,” she said. “You will need to earn his trust,” though Aya’s governor didn’t think it would be hard for this little individual to garner the trust of their gruff military leader. Already she was finding it hard to not like the human with a flanjaak glued to her side.
“That’s understandable, he’s responsible for everyone’s safety,” Cassiel confirmed. “I don’t think I’d be able to handle that, which is why I’m glad my brother is the Pathfinder,” she disclosed, deciding a little openness wouldn’t hurt.
“A leader’s burden is no easy burden to bear,” Paaran Shie agreed, nodding. Cassiel gulped as the pair, or trio if you counted the creature, approached a large door, the volume of guards increasing.
“This is the Resistance Headquarters,” Paaran Shie said, turning back to Cassiel. “Evfra should be waiting inside,” Cassiel nodded, taking a deep breath before stepping through the door, which slid shut with a hiss behind her.
Cassiel was kind of taken back when she saw Jaal walking next to another soldier, his voice raised slightly.
“-this situation is now your fault! Don’t get kicked out Maraan, not because of them!” he urged, Cassiel flinching at his hard tone, even though it wasn’t directed at her. The soldier by his side turned to him sharply.
“But you’re telling me to be weak!” he protested.
“No,” Jaal reached out to rest a hand on his shoulder. “I’m telling you to be strong, through your cunning and heart,” he said, before turning and noticing Cassiel awkwardly staring at him. He did a double take when he noticed the creature by her side. He shook his head slightly, turning back to the man. “Okay?” the man nodded, turning to walk out before Jaal called after him. “Hey!” the man turned back, his shoulders slumped, and handed Jaal a modified Kett rifle.
“It really is the best one in the Resistance,” he said, and Jaal nodded.
“I know,” the man turned to walk off, slowing and staring as he passed Cassiel, the woman smiling shyly up at him, fidgeting nervously. She approached Jaal now that he was no longer preoccupied.
“Our experience with the Kett makes us naturally distrustful of aliens,” he said, and Cassiel nodded.
“I can see that, and I understand, we’ve had our own run-ins with the Kett,” she said, and Jaal paused, seemingly surprised that the angara weren’t the only one fighting the Kett.
“Then you really do understand,” he said softly. “When the Archon came to Heleus, he demolished our sovereign state, took what he wanted as if we were nothing,” he told her, his face taking on a fiercely passionate expression. “Now, the Kett mercilessly abduct angara. Oten we never see our people again,” he took a breath before straightening his back. “Come this way, Evfra is waiting,” Cassiel was surprised by the complete 180 as he began walking and motioned for her to follow.
“Wait-the Kett kidnap you? Steal your people?” she gasped in shock. It was one thing to be killed in a skirmish, but they were aiming to abduct them? Their goal was to take prisoners? It was sick.
“And the Resistance fights them everyday, with everything we have,” Jaal said proudly.
“But what are they even after?” Cassiel asked, confused as to why the Kett would just take prisoners but make no demands for something in exchange for their release. Jaal sighed.
“You should save your questions for Evfra,” he said, and Cassiel nodded in understanding. They came into a control room, monitors covering most of the walls, and a male stood leaned against a desk by the window, speaking into a communicator.
“Kadara be damned, I won’t lose Voeld!” he growled, and Jaal cleared his throat.
“Evfra, this is one of the aliens from the MEElky Way, a human with the Pathfinder team,” he introduced, and Cassiel giggled a bit at his pronunciation of Milky way, unable to help herself. It just didn’t sound natural coming from his mouth. The male turned to face her, a harsh glare on his face, however it softened when he made eye contact with her.
Evfra was shocked to see the flanjaak happily standing at the human’s side. He was even more shocked by the field it was emitting, an aura of such happiness and affection that Evfra almost stumbled. The human had laughed softly when Jaal said the name of her galaxy, and Evfra had to admit the sound was… pleasing… in its own way. The flanjaak’s tail wagged as Evfra stood and walked closer to the human, leaning down to look her in the eyes.
Cassiel was gaping at the blue male, eyes involuntarily scanning his form. Tall… While all the angara were tall, he appeared to be taller than average, towering over a foot and a half over herself. She was snapped back to reality when the creature that had been following her nuzzled into her shoulder.
“Oh! Right! I’m… uh… my name is Cassiel Ryder, with the Andromeda Initiative,” she stuttered out an introduction, face blazing red. The male gave her no visible reaction, though Cassiel noticed a couple of the other angara in the room looking at her funny.
Evfra’s field let out a burst of affectionate confusion at the tiny, embarrassed creature as she stuttered her way through introducing herself. He ignored Jaal’s teasing field at his reaction, straightening up.
“And why are you on Aya, Cassiel Ryder?” he asked, and Cassiel straightened up slightly, trying to make herself taller so she didn’t feel so tiny with this giant crouched in front of her.
“Well, we were, uh, headed to the Osnian system and we ended up flying directly into the path of a Kett fleet. My brother, the Pathfinder, he’s the head of the ship, ended up talking to some important Kett with a demented halo who forced his way through our comms, and our pilot was able to get us through some scourge field and we ended up here… on fire,” she rambled, trailing off at the end with a flinch. “Which is why we really needed to land, so uh… thanks for at least letting us land so our engineer can get started on repairs,” she said, and Evfra’s eyes widened at her thanks, though he carried on.
“Aya has remained hidden for decades, I refuse to believe you found it by accident,” he pressed, and Cassiel paused as SAM spoke.
“There appears to be a working vault on this planet, I was able to plot our course based on the map your brother found in the vault on Eos,” he told her, and Cassiel rolled with it.
“We were able to plot a course here because of some sort of map we found on Eos… my brother activated a vault of some kind that healed?” she paused, trying to think of a better word to use but coming up blank. “ The planet… I think that would be the right term… radiation levels have decreased and the water is potable now.” she explained, and Evra rose a brow ridge in the universal expression of scepticism.
“Your brother… activated a vault?” he repeated, and Jaal spoke up.
“That is consistent with reports we’ve been getting from the area,” he confirmed, and Cassiel nodded.
“Yes! You see, we, the Initiative, are trying to find a home in this galaxy, and in order to do that we need to activate more vaults so more planets are viable for life!” she explained, knowing that if they asked her to speak science or technobabble she was screwed. “ We think your vault here could provide insight if we could see it?” she ended tentatively, and was immediately shot down.
“No,” Evfra immediately said with a scowl, and Cassiel pouted unconsciously, tilting her head.
“Why?” she asked, and Evfra just sighed with a shake of his head.
“We don’t trust you,” he said curtly, and Cassiel went silent for a moment, pensive. The creature, who had been relatively calm until this point, sat down on her feet and started to push against her legs, and Cassiel was reminded of a golden retriever her family used to have. He would do the same thing, just wanting pats, so Cassiel reflexively squatted down as the creature went onto its back, giving his belly some rubs.
All the angara in the room, Evfra included, gaped at the human with wide eyes. Her legs… How did her legs do that?! It was unnatural.
The creature gave Cassiel a happy hum, and Evfra cleared his throat. Cassiel gasped, shooting back up to stand, tucking a piece of hair that had fallen into her face behind her ear.
“Sorry!” she apologized, smiling shyly. “They’re just so… cute!” she giggled, and Evfra’s field let out that odd feeling of affectionate confusion. Jaal snorted at the General’s field, shooting a smirk in his direction, and the leader’s scowl only deepened.
“Besides, the vault is currently sealed, and we cannot open it,” he said, crossing his arms over his chest.
“The Moshae could,” Jaal piped up, ignoring Evfra’s glare.
“The Moshae?” Cassiel asked.

Chapter 8
Third Person POV
Mindscape
It took the three sides some time to convince Thomas to go to sleep. All he wanted was to go find Virgil, but his sides thought it would be wiser for him to rest first. In his current state, he definitely wouldn’t be able to do much. He finally gave in and went to his bed.
The next day, Thomas was still tired, but at least he was emotionally stable. Good enough, he thought. The first thing he did in the morning was summoning the three sides again in his living room. He would be lying if he said he didn’t try to summon Virgil too. The three sides appear, better looking than the day before. They were all looking confident, even Patton. Clearly, they had a plan, and it filled Thomas with determination. Logan was the first to talk.
- Good morning Thomas. We have important matters to discuss, but first I must ask, how are you feeling today?
- I’m fine, I’m fine, already better than yesterday. So, what’s the plan? How do we get Virgil back?
Thomas was clearly getting impatient, he just wanted this to be over, to everything to be like before.
- Of course, the plan. We had a lot of time last night to discuss what we could do to resolve this situation, and we came to the conclusion that the way to approach the situation would be for you to come with us in the Darkspace. We determined that you are the person with the most probabilities to convince Virgil to come back.
Thomas glared at Logan with a confused look.
- But… Didn’t you say yesterday that I couldn’t access what’s in the Darkspace since it’s in my subconscious?
- Yes, but we made some… research, and we believe to have found a way for you to access your subconscious.
Logan cleared his throat and began explaining.
- Thomas, have you ever heard of hypnosis? It is believed to be a way to make one access what’s in their subsconcious.
The confused look on Thomas’ face only grew.
- Hypnosis? Really? Coming from Roman, I would’ve understood, but the fact that you endorse this idea surprises me.
Logan sighed and replaced his glasses on his face.
- It is true that this method is not proven scientifically. To be fair, nothing you seem to be experiencing with us was scientifically researched. I’ve looked and looked and looked, no one else seem to interact directly with the different parts of themselves or have these different parts represented through multiple individuals.
- Well, there’s…
Roman started to talk, but he was quickly cut by Logan, shouting and pointing at him.
- And for the last time, NO, Inside Out is NOT a reliable source of information.
Roman crossed his arms and mumbled something, visibly mad. It made Patton giggles a little. Logan then repositioned his tie and continued.
- Thus, I’ve turned to… less conventional methods to determine a way for you to accompany us to journey to your subconscious.
Thomas sighed, but decided to give this idea a shot. As he sat down on a chair, he told them that he still thought this idea was ridiculous. Logan started to grow annoyed.
- Do we try Mr Sanders or not?
- Don’t call me that! And yes, let’s get over it…
Logan took a pocket watch out of his… pocket. He instructed Thomas to concentrate all of his attention on the watch and on his voice. Thomas nodded.
Logan began to balance the pocket watch back and forth. He started to speak slowly and with a caring voice.
Focus on your breathing. Synchronize it with the movement of the watch in front of you.
Let your body sink naturally down as your muscles relax.
You feel yourself sink into the chair, your eyelids start to feel heavy.
Listen to your body and my voice as you begin to feel calm.
Thomas did as he was told, his eyes focussing on the watch and on Logan’s voice. At one point, he couldn’t understand what he was saying. He didn’t realize that his eyes were starting to close.
***
He suddenly came back to his senses. He looked around him to see his apartment, but something was off. It was familiar, but different at the same time. He wondered where his sides were. He got up and started to look around, a worrying look on his face.
Then, three heads popped up in front of him.
- It worked! It worked! Thomas is in the Mindscape!
Patton was cheering, Logan looked satisfied and Roman was jumping around like an excited kid. His excitement spread to Thomas, who was now also jumping around.
- I can’t believe it?! I’m in my head?! Hurray!
He looked around again.
- So, this is where you guys live? I must say this looks a lot like my apartment, but more… colorful?
The walls were covered with pictures that seemed to represent recent memories. Thomas was impressed. The pictures kept changing, some disappearing, other staying. They were all took from his point of view. Logan explained to him that those represented his short time memory.
- Those are the memories you can access from your consciousness. These are all really recent, older memories go to long term memory, which is located in your subconscious. If you want, I could explain to you how your memo–
- Not now Nerdy Wolverine, Roman interrupted, We got more important matters to attend.
Logan apologised. It was true, they had to go get Virgil.
With determination in his eyes, Thomas pointed to the door leading outside.
- To my subconscious!

It still didn’t quite feel like it had happened.
Lea took plenty of time to come down from the anxiety high, catching his breath and letting his heart catch up. Every beat throbbed angrily in his head where it’d bashed into the console, and Lea groaned and cursed, feeling along his forehead tenderly and then just burying his face in his hands.
“How we doin’, Princess?”
He parted his fingers for the blue light welling up from the console, listening to the processors think. “Status,” answered a young, crisp voice. “Proper Fucked.”
Lea frowned. “How about a real status, kiddo.”
“That is a real status,” she said. “Engines: failing. Life support: failing. Hull breached. Shields offline. Comm systems offline. CO2 filter compromised. Cold storage compromised. You have previously declared this status ‘Proper Fucked,’” she reported, sounding defensive.
Lea paused, absorbing that. “We broke the fridge again?” he asked plaintively.
“That’s correct.” She sounded distracted, though, like she was still running diagnostics. There was a faint tension in her synthesized voice, and Lea decided not to push it.
He leaned back in his chair in spite of its terrible new angle, stretching and groaning. “Well, we got away.”
“Affirmative. No Heartless ships in range.”
“Any idea where we are?”
The AI he called Princess was silent for a worryingly long time.
“Yeah, I didn’t think so.” Unstrapping himself from his seat, Lea made sure every part of him could move before standing and stepping unsteadily down the slanted floor. “What’s the weather like outside?”
“Radiance-like conditions. Lea,” she said, and stopped. “I don’t have any definitions for where we are.”
Lea raised an eyebrow. “Alright, so…uncharted territory, then.”
“No.” There was a tone in her voice he’d never heard before. “These red shift readings are…” A click, and Lea heard a new directive load in. “Located gene sequence matching Lightspace Citizen ID 20731411008.”
Briefly, Lea’s world seemed to narrow to a single point.
“That can’t…why were you even running a search like that?” he got out, momentarily but wholly furious. The Ion AI couldn’t interact with brainwaves, could it? Honestly he wouldn’t put it past her creators. And he would never regret stealing her, but…
“You did.” She sounded almost injured for a second, but maybe Lea was imagining it. They’d been alone in Darkspace too long. “Your blood alcohol level was 0.12%,” she added less strenuously.
“Oh.” Lea thought he remembered that night. “Man.”
“It isn’t a perfect match,” she added, sounding anxious now. “You left a 35% margin for error, just in case…”
A beat.
“Just in case he turned. Yeah.”
Lea scratched his head in the silence that followed, trying to understand the enormity of it. “Well…what’s the worst that could happen, right? If it’s Radiance-like conditions, I’ll just–”
“Ion status compromised.”
Instant, horrible fear stole across Lea’s heart, worsening with the blare of her proximity alarms. “Wait, what?!”
“I can’t make any sense of this input,” she protested. “My navigation systems must have been damaged. I don’t know if this world is safe, or if we even crashed on one.”
Lea grabbed the chair, lurching back into his seat with a grunt of pain and trying to pull up the same numbers she was looking at. “I’m pretty sure we crashed into something,” he griped against the throb in his head.
“But I have no idea what.” Ion’s voice came out so fearful and genuine that Lea couldn’t ignore it. “These stars are too close together, and they’re not moving away fast enough. I don’t know how to describe it, except…”
He knew it before she said it, and his blood ran cold.
“This is what our universe would have looked like billions of years ago.”

Little Mass Effect Canon Problems - Part One
OG Mass Effect:
It’s always bugged me that a bigger deal isn’t made of the size of humanity’s fleet at first contact. Like, the Turians had stellar empire, and the Asari and Salarians were both fairly advanced stellar races when they bumped into each other. The Quarians seemed to have a small number of worlds, mostly behind the Perseus Veil. But Humanity had a single major planet and a few outposts, but were able to force the Turians to full mobilization with that fleet. Why doesn’t anyone seemingly ask “Why?” Why don’t we have canon fluff explaining the disquiet other races felt at Humanity’s default stance, particularly given what were not a militaristic society like the Turians. There is a great scene in Star Trek: DS9 where the Ferengi bartender from the station is stuck with mostly human federation forces in a planetary siege, pinned down by the Dominion. Quark points out that humans, deprived of their niceties, are as dangerous as the fiercest Klingon. I feel like the Mass Effect universe has the opportunity for that. For someone, over the three core games, to say “Frankly, you Humans terrify the rest of the Galaxy. You’ve got all the fighting tenacity of a Krogan, with half as many organs, and twice as much self restraint. You guys could probably steam role any one of the council races on their own given reason enough and a handful of years to build your fleets. We’re all worried that, if we push you too hard, too fast, that the Krogan rebellions and the Rachni wars will look quaint, and with your genetic diversity, your capacity for science, your tactical and strategic knack, frankly, there is no armada we could array or bio-weapon we could concoct that your couldn’t counter, either by neutralizing it, or building a bigger, deadlier version to point at us.
Particularly if Wrex becomes the leader of the steadily uniting Krogan, I wish there was more examination of the Krogan-Human relationship. Humans, not being on the galactic stage during the Rebellions, and having a rocky-first contact, as well as being the most morally encumbered species by default (the Turians, Asari, and Salarians all respected the Batarian right to practice slavery when the Batarians had relations with the council, and other elements point to broader trends of humanity being more morally sensitive) I feel like Humans would have been quick to see Wrex, especially after having served with Shepard, as an individual worth interacting with. And I feel like the Krogan would have been more relaxed towards Humans, against who they couldn’t reasonably hold a grudge (their main racism seems focused against the Turians for deploying the genophage, and the Salarians for designing it.) and it feels like we’re cheated out of Humanity being a potential place for more level-headed Krogan to interact with and touch base with. Combined with Humanity’s tremendous history of war, and some other elements, I feel like there would logically be a degree of respect for the plucky new-comers among the Krogan, even if tempered by a resentment that Humanity isn’t being constrained in the way the Krogan were in their own minds. This failure to acknowledge the timeline is really obvious in Andromeda, where the Krogan treat humans as an extension of the Salarians, Turians, and also where humans like Ryder never call the Krogan on their bullshit and point out that, if they wanted to, the Krogan could be ground into dust under the Human heel, and that it was a Human project, not a citadel project that saw some of the most aspirational Krogan given a chance in an entirely new galaxy, and that the Human ark can’t help the fuck-ups of the Nexus, or of it’s very non-human command team. Seriously, Ryder should have straight punched Drack and told him she saved the Salarian Pathfinder, the only surviving pathfinder, and not one random group of hostages over another, and that it wasn’t humanity that sterilized his people, so perhaps he should get over it, grow up, and try making something of his people, because they responsible for their own futures, regardless of the actions of others.
It would be interesting to finally get a read on what a Krogan lifespan looks like. Drack is portrayed as being an old man, as a veteran of the Krogan rebellions, where as Wrex, also a veteran of the same-said, seems to be old, but no-where near his last legs, still being by far and away one of the fiercest warriors in Andromeda or the Milky Way. Drack has extensive prosthetic as a result of combat injuries (I reckon he’s old and bad-ass, but no-where near Wrex or Grunt’s level, which might explain the missteps leading to injury) It feels like Wrex probably has another 300-400 years in the tank before he’d really be in old age, where as it is suggested that Drack is well with-in “pushing it” territory. Additionally, with 600 years to work, the Milky Way races (who, as far as I’m concerned survived, and did so via a paragon method - Control or Synthesis. I prefer control - as the general tenor of Garrus’s dad when talking to Ryder’s dad suggests that Shepard isn’t reviled, and so is likely not renegade, and no mention is made of the old council dying, suggesting that the 5th fleet was indeed sacrificed) must have developed significant technological changes, including much more advanced drives mimicking, at least, the Reapers, who can move from intergalactic darkspace into the galaxy in less than a year, so where are they, and what are they doing about the folks who left 600 years ago to explore a new, and presumably much easier to now reach, galaxy?
Mass Effect: Bae
Why didn’t the initiative take QECs with connections alive back in the Milky Way? Like, as far as anyone knows (and the science points) Quantum Entanglement has no maximum range. While, notionally, you need to send some kind of instruction to decode the message sent via entanglement (instructions whose transmission is notionally limited to light-speed, although evidently no in the ME universe) the ME universe has established that QECs communicate over distances not communicable over via sub-space or such. So why didn’t they take a high-bandwidth life line? Why did the Quarians invest in an Arc? They already live in the Migrant Fleet, surely, given their means, it would be a profligate waste (never mind that the size of the Arcs is ridiculously huge for the 20,000 or so individuals they supposedly carry if the Quarian fleet is any reference.) for them to build an arc, instead of retro-fitting a ship for the purpose.
What idiot let Sloane Kelly into the Initiative, or for the matter, Dr. Kennedy, both of whom exhibit severely problematic behaviour patterns. Kelly had a history of violent insubordination, and Dr. Kennedy had professed libertarian views, which are kind of at odds with the basic premise of the Initiative, which would require a very controlling and interventionist government for quite a while as they set things up. Why the hell didn’t the Initiative take any kind of warship, and why wasn’t a significant portion of the Nexus designed to work like a ship-yard. Very few of the races involved had easy introductions to the galactic stage. the Krogans were uplifted to defeat the Rachni, the Turians were given significant powers for defeating the Krogan, the Salarians and the Asari had no particular problems, but both had to deal with the Rachni and the Krogan, and Humanity got into a war with the Turians on day-freaking-one, and no-one said “hey, lets take a few big, ugly freaking ships in case there is life in the Heleus cluster of Andromeda and it turns out not to be friendly.”
Why did they think that the Galactic equivalent of a bull in a China shop was a good place to set up the ming-vases that are fledgling colonies. The Heleus cluster exists around a massive freaking black hole, by all account being such a concentration of planets due to the black hole. Black holes are Bad! They spew radiation! They’re practically gamma-ray factories! Gamma-rays are bad!
Why the hell doesn’t !PlayerRyder tell the Initiative that “Hey, there are really those reaper things, and they’re fucking up the Milky Way, so not only will we have to fight a galactic war against the Kett, we’ll also have to make sure we’re ready if the eldritch space-computers come to eat us. Just FYI.”
Why doesn’t anyone point out the the Angarans who are being stroppy that the Initiative arrived in Heleus less than a year ago, and already they’re more trouble for the Kett than the Angara have been after DECADES of fighting. And that’s while they’re busy feuding amongst their selves, and without any of the serious military capability from back home. Like, if the initiative wanted to destroy the Angara, it would be child’s play, because we can do everything the Angara do as warfighters, better. Also, why the hell don’t the Angara have any kind of war-fleet? They’ve been fighting the Kett for decades, and they’re FTL space capable, but the idea of a warship is too big for them, so they only have little shuttles?
Also, something really important: There are several Angaran (the mayor/governor of Aya, in particular) who say to Ryder “I thought you were all like the exiles” while ignoring entirely the fact that the Roekarr and Resistance are fundamentally at odds. Why doesn’t anyone call them on their bullshit? Guess that’s it for now. Some serious complaining about things that, to me, make no sense in the Canon.

Warp drive
This article is about the fictional propulsion system. For the actual model of spacetime, see Alcubierre drive. For the street in Virginia, see Warp Drive. Warp drive is a faster-than-light (FTL) spacecraft propulsion system in many science fiction works, most notably Star Trek. A spacecraft equipped with a warp drive may travel at speeds greater than that of light by many orders of magnitude. In contrast to other FTL technologies such as a jump drive or hyper drive, the warp drive does not permit instantaneous (or near instantaneous) travel between two points but involves a measurable passage of time which is problematic to the concept. Spacecraft at warp velocity theoretically continue to interact with objects in "normal space". Other science fiction in which warp drive technology is featured include Beast Wars: Transformers, Dark Matter (TV series), DarkSpace, Doctor Who, Earth and Beyond, EVE Online, FTL: Faster Than Light, StarCraft, Star Ocean, Stars!, Starship Troopers, and WALL-E. The general concept of "warp drive" was introduced by John W. Campbell in his 1931 novel Islands of Space. Einstein's theory of special relativity states that energy and mass are interchangeable, thus, speed of light travel is impossible for material objects that weigh more than photons. The problem of a material object exceeding light speed is that an infinitely increasing amount of kinetic energy is required to attempt moving as fast as a massless photon. This problem can theoretically be solved by warping space to move an object instead of increasing the kinetic energy of the object to do so. More details Android, Windows

"Oh darling, I call all being travelers! But a fellow royal~ how unexpected!"
The 8 ft tall god kneels down to Star's height to get a better look.
"Ah~ you dress like a mask mischivor! Quite a rare occurrence! You are quite small, though dear. You remind me of my little sister Tundles!"

"Thank you, Ms. Darkspace. I wish your travels are well and safe." -> The prince smiles once more and places the marble within his pocket, taking another glance back to where Follower was hiding away before waving the deity farewell.

"Yes, dear! I hope so! If you ever need any assistance take this"
She summons a little ball that is made of glass. Almost marble like and hands it to Star. It looked like it was filled with galaxies, and when moved, it would show a different part space.
"Just smash it on the ground, and I'll be there in a jiffy!"

"You're fine, Ms Darkspace. You haven't done anything wrong. You just appeared at a not so convenient time. No bad blood here or anything. It was a pleasure getting to talk to you tho. Hopefully someday I'll see you again, yes?" -> Star glances back at Follower before smiling up at Darkspace, hands clasped in front of himself. "Please do visit again. Maybe I'll take you down to the nursey and show you the other little ones!"

“Love is complex and can be shared in many ways~ although his way seemed to be too…inappropriate for my children to read about hehe~”
Ok now she was just teasing. Darksoace liked messing with him a lot. Not just him but others really. It was entertainment for her.
“I’ll stop messing with you dear!~”
“Something smells good Darling!~ oh I think you are quite the excellent cook!”
A very tall woman with a large hat and veil appears next to the deity out of thin air. She looks quite fancy and very interested in what Ghostwalker is doing.
@ms-dark-space

"Oh, I'm sorry dear, I didn't mean to be unpleasant. I could feel the anxiety in the air when he walked in, and I just wanted to cheer you up, little bird."
She smiles softly and hands the feather to Star. Follower on the other hand pulled his hand out of Star's and started to walk away, turning the corner and sitting there in case Star needed him.
"I think I overstayed my welcome, darling.."

"Yes, that is most likely the case here. And for personal reasons I won't really get into what happened. But the situation has been resolved and all parties are safe and sound now." "Sword most likely won't be staying for long. I told him he can leave at any point if he'd like to. I value my fiancé's comfortability above all else."
