The pool is a bit chilly, but I got in anyhow…

I actually stayed in there for about 30 minutes scrubbing the steps and wall that turned green over the winter. I think I might swim every day now, as long as the weather stays warm. 🤞🏻

I napped during my lunch break. I didn't sleep well Monday night because that's when Michael cancelled on me and I was too upset to fall asleep.

And then last night... I went to bed at 7:30pm because i was so tired... but then the allergies hit me from the yardwork I did earlier in the day and my eyes were too itchy to relax and fall asleep.

'tis the season.

Earlier today I had a Rebecca meeting. (One of my teachers, the writer/mystic Rebecca Campbell.) This was the quarterly meeting concerning our annual goals.

My goal this year is a pretty simple one, stand on a busy street corner holding a sign that says, "Love"

I mean... the vision I had last December concerning this goal was a much larger one that had to do with saving humanity. But I broke it down to just its essence, "Standing on a street corner holding a sign that simply says Love."

If you noticed that I have been using an image of a dandelion more, that's where it comes from. (I used it on @dasenergi-diary.)

The dandelion is the flower that represents this year. (To me. I decided that.)

The dandelion is LIGHT. (The bright yellow of the flower looks like the sun.) The dandelion is CHANGE. (From the yellow flower to the wishes we blow on.) The dandelion is MAGIC. (All of our wishes come true. Seeds blowing on the wind to create more dandelions.)

As you can imagine, my thoughts were very distracted during this morning's call with Rebecca.

But during the opening meditation I had a vision - A ball of light from Source coming from above. It was floating across the planet.

This was during primordial earth, when the planet was in its earliest stages of development. Molten rock. Volcanic activity.

Eventually the earth cooled. Water appeared. And life appeared.

And this ball of light from source was a witness to life's changes on the earth.

We are the Light.

I thought maybe this was the beginning of my next book, told from the perspective of this ball of light. As it touches others. Experiences others lives. And influences the direction of humanity.

Change is always happening.

The Universe / Nature follows strict rules. We call this Physics. The seasons is just our planet wobbling on its axis. Yes that is nature, and yes that is physics. It is science. This wobbling also tells seeds when to wake up. When trees should drop its leaves. It is science. And it is magic. Life and death. Without the wobbling perhaps there would be no life on the planet -- at least not life as we know it.

There is structure. But there is also chaos.

Change is always happening.

Light, Change, and Magic.

Rebecca asked a question during the call, What do I require to achieve my goal? The first word that popped in my head was "Nurturing." I felt so tired. My mother took care of me as a child. But with my first wife (Pauline), then Kristi Hart, Geronimo, Michael -- none of them really took care of me. None of them really nurtured me. I can't trust anyone to give me what I need. Since my childhood I have always been independent. I have always been the one who nurtured them. Took care of them. Since my mother, no one has taken care of me.

And then I tilted perspective a bit. @evolvingperceptions7 and I have been reading Eckhart Tolle's book "A New Earth" together. Just a page or two a day, not very fast. But right now we are in the chapter on Ego. And I replaced "I" with "ego" in my answer --- My ego requires nurturing. My ego wants to be taken care of. My ego can't trust anyone to give me what my ego needs.

Losing @dasenergi has hurt my ego. Michael cancelling on me has hurt my ego.

Losing @dasenergi reminds me of "This cup is already broken."

From one of my teacher's Jack Kornfield:

One day my teacher Ajahn Chah held up a beautiful tea cup, “To me this cup is already broken. Because I know its fate, I can enjoy it fully here and now. And when it’s gone, it’s gone.” When we understand the truth of uncertainty, we become free.

The broken cup helps us see beyond our illusion of control. We can plan, we can care for, tend and respond. But we cannot control.

As Suzuki Roshi says, "When we understand the truth of impermanence and find our composure in it, there we find ourselves in Nirvana."

Change is always happening.

I’m on the edge of Aspie with moderate signs of ADHD. Though I’ve always attributed my forgetfulness and inattentiveness to dissociation. Is it difficult to distinguish between a brain wired differently by nature and a brain altered by trauma?

My first girlfriend was Beverly in 2nd grade. My first kiss was Nyla in 3rd grade. (We kissed a lot.)

I have a lot to say about Ms Dibbell (my Kindergarten and 3rd grade teacher). But I'll save that for another post. She is an important person and has a theater named after her at a nearby university.

Day #7 - Das Energi by Paul Williams

For those who don't know, I am also @dasenergi. I'm known as Das Energi everywhere: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram. I am a queer Los Angeles based Performance Artist known as "Das Energi." I even own dasenergi.com

That is how important this book is to me. Reading it was eye-opening and life changing to my impressionable 21 year old mind. And this picture is of my 31 year old first copy of the book, held together with a rubberband.

Inside is the inscription from the person who gave it to me. It was a gift for my 21st birthday.

I have written about Christine before. She was my "Frau Eva" when I talked about Demian by Hermann Hesse. I was turning 21 and she was 30, married, and we were in the middle of a non-sexual love affair.

I could write a book about her and that time in our lives.

In the past several years, the idea of "Twin Flames" has become popular. We had an intense and deep spiritual and sexual connection that went beyond a conventional romantic relationship. (Remember, this was a non-sexual relationship, but also intensely sexual at the same time.)

She was married but she never cheated on her (abusive) husband with me. But I was there to support her leaving her abusive husband (taking her young daughter with her) and starting a new life.

And I felt the pain as she started sleeping with a variety of other men -- but not with me. We knew sex would ruin our relationship.

Anyhow... this book was a gift from her. And it changed my perspective of everything.

I have used this book as an oracle. Think of a question, then open the book to a random page, and there you will find your answer.

In my 20s it became something like a party game for me -- because people were so impressed by how it really did seem to answer their questions.

But the book is more than that. Much like "Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah," it changed they way I thought. It changed the way I viewed the world. It reaffirmed my belief in magic.

I have always been surprised that more people don't know about the book. It's always been one of those underground books that people give as gifts to others. Maybe it's too "out-there" for most people. Maybe it's only meant for the weird ones. Those of us who live outside of the societal norm.

Anyhow...
