मी यातील काही मुलाना घेऊन काम पण केल खूप काळ तिथे त्यांच्या सोबत राहिलो आणि मंदीरापेक्षा चांगला अनुभव आला,विशेष म्हणजे हे भित्तिचित्र पुर्ण झाल्यावर काही काळातच विविध देशातील देशाबाहेरील संस्थानी याना मदत केली हे समाधान वाटले ऐकून 🙏 #artforall #publicart #streetart #streetartindia #kashivishwanath #kashi #ganga #gangaaarti #gangaghat #dashashwamedhghat #banaras #varansi #incredibleindia #mahadev #kidsofinstagram #helpageindia #tourist #travelart #travelartist #lodhiartdistrict #sassondockartproject #startindia #mojarto_official #nerolac #puneartist #nileshartist (at Dashashwamedh Ghat, on the banks of the Ganges, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqRjVtuvGBN/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

[T] When we visited Benaras. Nishant and I have lost a lot in the past few years. Kids we loved immensely. Kids we tried to save. Sometimes we were too late, sometimes we were wrong. And sometimes it wasn't really in our hands. Some losses have been really really tough. I have cried over them again and again, and still my tears do not seem to have dried. Many people we know personally don't understand us. They can't process how we can grieve so much over dogs, stray dogs no less. And we don't blame them. We can't expect them to understand this. What we can do is continue to love and keep trying to improve. These pictures are from our trip to Benaras in 2019. We made this trip for 'Asthi Visarjan' (immersion of ashes post cremation) for two of our beloved street babies, who fought a lot but were too young and too weak to do it anymore. They had painful deaths and we are still not over it. Spectra and Sugar - two souls that will live with us forever. Unfortunately, there are more names on this list. But we try to be strong. And we try to love more and regret less. I know it's not Throwback Thursday. But I was just going through these pictures and felt like sharing this with you all. If you're also fighting to win, or are grieving over a loss, we are here for you, sending you loads of love and strength. ❤️ Always. PS. @nidhitingling @dynsty_7 - thank you so much for always being there for us. ❤️ . . . . . #apawfive #5dogs2humans #dogparents #indiedogs #straydogs #straydogsofinstagram #straydogsIndia #straydogscare #lastrites #banaras #varanasi #ghatsofvaranasi #dashashwamedhghat #grief #doglovers (at Varanasi Ghats) https://www.instagram.com/p/CaPU-JTpRaH/?utm_medium=tumblr

Some memories of Varansi visit with the gang. Here are some pics of famous Ganga Aarti. Out of 88 ghats of Varanasi, Dashashwamedh ghat is the most famous and most visited one. Varanasi’s liveliest and most colourful ghat. The name indicates that Brahma sacrificed (medh) 10 (das) horses (aswa) here. And it will not be difficult for you to identify which one that would be. The crowd will be the giveaway. This is mainly due to the Ganga Aarti that takes place in the ghat, every evening. Every evening at 7pm an elaborate and popular ganga aarti (river worship) ceremony with puja (prayers), fire and dance is staged here. Apart from this, the ghat is famous for many tourist activities and pilgrim purposes. This is the oldest ghat of Varanasi and located very close to the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Every evening, a group of priests performs a synced ritual to praise Goddess Ganges. Thousands of pilgrims and numerous tourists visit this ghat during evening to witness the ceremony. It is an important spot for photography in Varanasi. It has also been my privilege to be a part of the main Ganga Aarti. I rang the bell here during Ganga Aarti which bell was the part of all instrument were playing during Ganga Aarti…. In spite of the persistent boat owners, flower sellers, massage practitioners, and touts trying to drag you off to a silk shop, it’s a wonderful place to linger and people-watch while soaking up the atmosphere. #Throwback2017 #Throwback #travelmoments #banarasighat #banaras #ghatsofvaranasi #dashashwamedhghat #ganga #travellerslife #bloggersofinstagram #uttarpradeshtourism #sarcasm #laughingcolours #incredibleindia #indiatravelgram #indiatourism #varanasi #kashi #holycity #momentsofmine (at Dashashwamedh Ghat, Varanasi) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_J0XzMnKDj/?igshid=1ctac2zf6vz3f

Dashashwamedh Ghat- Importance
Ganges Attraction- Dashashwamedh Ghat
Dashashwamedh Ghat is Varanasi's main attraction in the Ganges. Located near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, this is probably the most spectacular Ghat and is quite famous for Ganga Aarti. This is the best place to see Ganga Aarti. Dashashwamedh Ghat is almost in the middle of a long line of Ghats in Varanasi. To the north is Raj Ghat, where the city once thrived. To the south is Assi Ghat, very popular with bohemians. Dashashwamedh Ghat Banaras is also easiest to access by road, while most others are reached via narrow streets.
Dashashwamedh Ghat - History and Holy Significance Located near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Brahma is said to have created this Ghat to welcome Shiva to this city that would always be known by his name.

Literally Dashashwamedh means 10 Ashwamedha Yagnas. Ashwamedha Yagna is a ritual performed by kings to establish their supremacy over the region.

Dashashwamedh Ghat - Alliance with Ganga Aarti Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat is the most famous and extensive.
At Dashashwamedh Ghat, there are two platform games in two different parts of the Ghat. Colorful pavilions adorned with flowers rise on each platform, which is attached to an electric light pole. On top of each platform is another small platform covered in saffron fabric that contains all the veneration objects: flowers, a copper-colored water pot, a damp cloth for heavy and hot metal diyas and a mussel shell. The platforms are also illuminated by oil lamps that literally transport you to another area.
The central platform houses a small temple dedicated to the goddess Ganga with her anthropomorphic shape adorned with beautiful wreaths of flowers.
Ways to Reach Dashashwamedh Ghat There are many ways to reach Dashashwamedh Ghat, to view Ganga Aarti. It is totally based on your budget. It is just 4.2 kilometers from Varanasi Railway Station and after that an auto- rickshaw or a cab to reach Dashashwamedh Ghat easily. You can also take a flight and can reach Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport that is just 24.8 kilometers from Dashashwamedh Ghat.
Must Watch Attractions At the time of sunset, there is a live Ganga Aarti. Boat trips to all the surrounding Ghats. Watch pandits and locals praying for their deceased loved ones under a bamboo umbrella. A holy dip in the Dashashwamedh Ghat is said to have a cleansing effect. Walk through Vishwanath Gali to shop and enjoy street food and shops. Visiting Kashi Vishwanath Temple after taking a holy dip in the Ghat, meant to give salvation. It is said that the Goddess Ganges will become happy if you pour milk into the river.

Evening prayers at Dashaswamedh Ghat Around dusk the Dashashwamedh Ghat comes to life with the evening Ganga Aarti. Performed by young pundits dressed in saffron, the aarti is an elaborate ceremony complete with puja, dance and fire. The riverbank lights up with flaming lamps and the smell of sandalwood envelops the Ghat. . . #myphotography #varanasikibaat #dashashwamedhghat #ghat #varanasi #india #ganga #photography #banaras #kashi #travel #incredibleindia #ghats #assighat #boat #indianphotography #varanasifood #bhu #traveling #banarasi #mahadev #exploringindia #indianstreetphotography #travelingindia #vishwanathmandir #indiatraveling #uttarpradesh #vinodvishwakarmaphotography #instalove #dashaswamedh #insta #beautiful #repost #bhfyp (at Dashashwamedh Ghat) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwcNDn5Ba4F/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=13l4lzi017y0

Daily at dusk Ganga Aarti is performed. This is a ritual offering of prayers to the Ganges River. After doing breath work together our group dipped our hands and feet in the healing waters of this river. I felt clear. After being feverish and congested for the past few days. Then, we boarded a small old boat to pass by the cremation grounds and back along the Ganga to gather with hundreds of others at the Dashashwamedh Ghat and participate in this ritual. Ghee candles on beds of rose petals in foil dishes were being sold with match books to be lit, prayed over and released upon the waters. My prayers are now floating along the water with thousands of others as I lay my head upon my pillow and dream until I wake to a new day and look out over the waters once more. #dashashwamedhghat #ganges #gangariver #offerings #blessings #ceremonious #ritual (at Varanasi, India) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvE7uscnJqP/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=lih62vyd7bmi
