Ranvir Shorey recalls signing David Dhawan and Govinda's return film Do Knot Disturb "under pressure" and calls it the "funniest casting experience"

Ranvir Shorey, an actor, recently shared a hilarious and informative anecdote from his career. In an exclusive interview with News18, Shorey discussed his time working on David Dhawan's 2009 comedy Do Knot Disturb, which starred Govinda. The actor admitted that he accepted the role "under pressure," only to find himself playing a dead body for almost the entire film.

Ranvir Shorey recalls when he ended working on commercial films such as Singh Is Kinng. When he received a call from David Dhawan, he expressed optimism that his career was about to take a dramatic turn. During the interview, Shorey described her pleasure at being offered a job by the iconic filmmaker, who is well-known for his box office success. "My funniest casting experience included David Dhawan, sir. He called me and said, "Tu bahot achcha actor hai, beta." "Ranvir, what are you up to?" Shorey described the strong compliments he received from Dhawan.

However, the actuality of the role was far from what Shorey had expected. Ranvir remarked, "He then requested me to do his next film, Do Knot Disturb, which stars Govinda. It was their return to film as a director-actor combo. Because David Sir is a box office icon, I said yes despite the pressure. And then he gave me a role in which I was a dead body for over 90 percent of the film (laughs)," Shorey said, adding that Dhawan's remark, "tu bahot achcha actor hai," echoed humorously in his ears during the production. Beyond this amusing tale, the Ek Tha Tiger actor has been open about the difficulties he has had in his acting career. His recent debut on Bigg Boss OTT season 3 astonished many, as he disclosed the reasons behind his participation in the reality show. Shorey revealed that he was going through a difficult moment in which offers had dried up and some projects he had worked on had not received release dates. This dry situation prompted him to accept the offer to join Bigg Boss OTT. He is now out of the house after finishing as the third runner-up.
