Everyone asks me about the hands, but they were not what struck me when I first met Ferrus Manus. It was the eyes. To look into them is to look into a mirror too dark and vast to reflect anything but that which it wishes. There is beauty in that, after a fashion… From: Ferrus Manus: The Gorgon of Medusa, David Guymer

Yes, Ferrus Manus did eat sand. His capsule did t exactly land in a place conducive to human life, so he ate what he could,
Literally.

I cannot say I don't like David Guymer's writing style, but it definitely presses down heavily on me in a way I can't put into words. However, I - like all of us here - have to agree that sometimes he DELIVERS.
Look at these three sentences at tell me they didn't touch you in the most perverted ways. Like, there's so much going on in there ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Fulgrim and Ferrus - obviously.
Akurduana being Ferrus's biggest fan boy - of course, nothing new here.
But what about Fulgrim, Ferrus and Horus haunting the dreams of men?
Like, seriously, David, you could've phrased it differently, if you wanted to. But you didn't want to, did ya? ;) It's a test on how perverted a reader is. And I failed the test proudly! Because the only image my brain conjures is their men wanking furiously in the middle of noctis-watch in their solitary cabins while thinking about their primarchs.

sad to hear the new admech boook isnt great. are there aaaany of the admech books you would recommend? Ive read the Of Mars trillogy and the pair of Cawl books sofar
Eye of Medusa by David Guymer is a good Iron Hands and Admech book with the Admech as the enemy but still well described and competent. There’s also Skitariius and Tech Priest by Rob Sanders which are decent and were released in 2013 with the Admech range. Day of Ascension is my big huge 10/10 recommendation, bc it’s abt a genetor trying to manipulate a genestealer cult and it does a deep dive on skitarii programming and tech priest culture!

Are there good sources to read or learn about the Dragon Fam?
You have the Total War articles on them, you have the Warhammer Community articles on them, you have the short story Master of the Meteor Wind by David Guymer.
Honestly, I'd say the upcoming army book (or whatever it's called) for Cathay will be the best primary source when it's out.

Good ol’ Angry Ron. Probably my favorites of the traitor primarchs, his story is marred by tragedy and despair. I genuinely think he had the potential to be the greatest of the Emperor’s sons had he landed literally anywhere other than Nuceria. You can’t help but feel bad. BUT… at the same time I love his modern 40k representation because he’s just not a person anymore. He’s a whirlwind of bloodshed and death. An elemental avatar of hatred. In Angron: The Red Angel by David Guymer, he only says one word near the end of the book. I do think his misery should end, but. I can’t help but revel in the carnage caused by it.
