Synopsis

Kudou Shinichi, now more familiarly known as Edogawa Conan, has a HUGE secret that only his family knows. And no, it’s not about his shrunken demise at the hands of the Black Organization this time!

Since ancient times, the Kudou Family has lived as the only proof of the Devil clan ever existing. Though people have long forgotten about it, the family itself has not. The last devil from their family is Kudou Yusaku, and now that Shinichi is nearing his ‘Trial’, Yusaku and Yukiko have high expectations that Shinichi will be a powerful devil.

Well the problem is, when a devil is born, they have to overcome a ‘Trial’ before becoming a full-fledged devil. The Trial itself is tasked when one is deemed strong enough by Fate to carry its burden, but it was almost impossible to guess what you'll be tasked with. His great-grandfather has to build the current Kudou mansion that contains a secret underground facility, while his father was told to abandon becoming a police detective and write a mystery novel about thieves instead. When looking at it like this, how does one expect he'll be great when Shinichi himself can't predict what Trial he would get? Some Fate indeed…

That’s why Shinichi tried to avoid it. He wanted to be a detective like Holmes! Not some devil! And then suddenly his Trial appeared out of nowhere. Apparently, becoming Conan is his Trial, and he also has to capture the Black Organization in a year's time?! How?!

I woke up so late today but I've made progress on the gift! I sort've changed the how I was approaching the idea I had and it's going more smoothly now. How was your new year so far? Can you believe it's been nearly a week of the new year already? - DCMK Secret Santa

But I already promised so here it is your short comic! the context is shinichi seemingly burned conan alive and unknowingly get witnessed by one saguru hakuba. I already have an ending in mind and it's actually not THAT serious at all. Actually abit crackish and comedy! it's all a big humongous misunderstanding that got everyone involved and many traumatized for life.. yeah.. but I'm interested to see your version of what must have happened!

In two weeks there will be the 10 year anniversary of Shadow Chase. :’) I’m not exactly sure if there is anything special I can do to celebrate but if you have any ideas or things you’d like to see just leave a message or drop an ask. Again, thank you for all the support because it still seems kinda surreal that I’ve been pulling through for almost 10 years now. 😂

thank you for 10 years of Shadow Chase! You guys are amazing, I appreciate every reader, every comment and every kind of support I was given throughout the way! let's hope it won't take me another 10 years to finish. XD I wish I could have made something special to celebrate but uni is super busy, I had a practical exam just yesterday and new study material just keeps coming in. However, I'll post some fun facts on tumblr later so maybe you'll enjoy those. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to host a stream today, we’ll see.

I was thinking about maybe having bookmarks or postcards printed for the occasion and those who are interested could get some, you'd need to pay for your shipping though. Anyone interested?
