                       marcos diaz · eighteen years old · son of hephaestus · cabin counselor

Biography:

marcos was born to a working class family in bogotá , colombia.

when he was thirteen years old , his godly abilities began to manifest and in fear of him , his parents kicked him out.

marcos doesn’t talk much about the time between then and arriving at camp halfblood when he was sixteen , though there are rumors. 

some say he worked for a drug cartel , working his way into america. others think he just lived homeless on the streets until his existence attracted monsters and the resulting destruction. whatever the case , marcos eventually found his way to camp halfblood.

within a day of arriving , marcos was claimed by his father hephaestus. he is a full-time student with no home or family to return to.

marcos prefers the forge to parties; reserved and not always the most friendly , he takes his position as cabin counselor seriously and strives to ensure the safety of all the campers -- particularly the younger ones. #CampDad

marcos cares deeply , though his past often stops him from being fully able to express his feelings. he believes more in action than words , working his ass off to earn a place ( a home ) at camp halfblood.
