Terminus
I found the two-headed baby deer dying on a bed of soft pine needles under cover of an overturned oak not five kilometres from my cottage. Its lungs still pumped, and its crimson heart beat weakly through a thin, translucent skin that decayed before my eyes until there was no skin and all the organs lay warm and still in a heap upon the earth like waste.
A god evaporated.
It is human nature to disbelieve that one may be witness to epochal events, so I did not believe that I, of all people, should be witness to the death of time.
Epochal: the concept itself is dead.
How lucky we were to know time at its cleanest and most linear!
We know now that such constant linearity was the consequence of a living entity. It followed the creature like stench follows a skunk, and we basked in it as if it was the natural state of the world.
No more.
Time no longer heals. Things do not pass, or pass only to return.
At first we believed this would be manageable. Yes, we thought, we will relive our pain but also our love. Everything shall be magnified! Welcome to an age of great emotions, a new Romanticism!
Yet we overestimated how much we help. We failed to accept how much we hurt.
And we did not realize the nature of evil, which accumulates in a way love does not. To re-experience our love is to know it again and again at the same intensity, but to re-experience pain is to increase its volume until it overpowers us, deafening us to everything else.
I will never forget the creature's eyes, full of hatred or hubris yet seeking aid it knew I could not give.
How does one save a dying god?
It was not my fault!
I was but a child asked suddenly to solve a deathbed equation expressed in an undiscovered mathematics. I had to fail, yet in failing I have brought it all upon us.
I relive it constantly.
Every time its eyes are louder.
But it is the hour for my afternoon walk, so I will take a pause and enjoy what remains of living.
I will go to my favourite spot overlooking the city and sit on the iron bench, from where the view is magnificent. Above me, the clouds will form, a tangle of pain and human corpses, and I will sit and ponder until the first blood drops fall. Then the screaming will begin and the final storm will rage. Beating, crimson corpse-clouds under a thin skin of dissipating reality, raining blood until we are left warm and still upon the earth…

Death Of Time CHAPTER 1 Continued........
I don’t know how long we have been out in the road but I’m getting tired of seeing trees, walkers, and Claudia’s face. I mean wouldn’t you get tired of seeing the same things every day? We have been alone for three months now, we had a group before but unfortunately we got separated by a heard of walkers now we are alone, low in amo, no food, almost no petroleum, and especially no place to stay. “How much longer until we get to the nearest gas station?” I asked, “Well two hours, and we only have half a gallon,” Claudia answered, “Ugh! Can’t you be more obvious.” We have been having trouble with the car, but Hey at least we don’t have to walk. It was late at night when the car stopped in the middle of the road. “What the fuck! Why did you stop the damn car bitch?!” Claudia asked me, “Shut the fuck up there’s walkers around! And plus we are out of petroleum. Didn’t you say two hours to get to the gas station?” “Yeah! But maybe we should have turned left instead of right.” “You bitch! I fucking told you!…Okay, let’s just stay in the car for today in the morning will head back to find the gas station.” We woke up with the sound of walkers banging on the windows. Just great we are low on amo  and there’s like ten walkers outside the stupid car. Claudia started panicking so it was up to me to think of a way out, “Okay, here’s the plan Claudia we are gonna run out of the car through your door, run into the forest until we reach the lake nearby, okay?” “Okay, I got it Bella!” “On the count of three we run out Okay? One!… Two!… Three!.. Run!” We were out the car, I ran behind Claudia trying not to trip on her or the tree roots. After many minutes of running we finally reached the river, so now the hard part came which was swim across the cold river. I hadn’t noticed that I had twisted my foot until we reached the other side of the river. “Ouch!” “What’s wrong Bella?” “I think my foot is twisted. Help me walk up to that three.” I lifted up my jeans to reveal a huge purple, reddish bruise forming next to my ankle. “Eww does it hurt?” “What do you think bitch! Just help me walk.” We started walking North to look for a place to stay the night when we came upon a prison.          “Do you see that Bella? It’s a prison!”Claudia yelled in excitement. ”Shh! Quiet down, I know its a prison what a big woop.” “Don’t you see dumbass it’s a place where we could finally sleep in and rest. We could finally get away from those things-” “Don’t call them things they’re still people, they’re just sick.” “Bella get this in your thick skull they are not people, people don’t eat others like their love ones. Don’t you remember what they did to Stephen they fucking killed him, tore a big chunk of his skin while he screamed for help, but did they stop? No you no why because they’re monsters!” Bella still was shocked when Claudia called her own boyfriend ,Stephen, a monster. She couldn’t believe what she had turned into which was a cold hearted bitch that now refers to her now dead boyfriend and all those people out there monsters. By now the walkers had noticed the presence of the two girls and had started walking towards the place where they were hiding. “I told you to stop screaming, Claudia!” Bella yelled in anger. “Well to late for that don’t you think?” Bella couldn’t hold the tears of frustration so she started whimpering quietly thinking of all the people that had died and that she loved. “There’s no time for crying now Bella we have to think of a way to get away from them.” Claudia started pacing back and forth she had survived this long to get eaten by one of those, she didn’t think so. She thought of what her and Bella had done all this time to hide from the walkers. The only thing she thought of was running and killing those things, but now Bella was injured, they were low in ammo and there was to many of them to handle. “I’ll stay here and distract them you go ahead and go to the prison either ways I’m going to die.” Bella said in between her tears, she always said never give up but all she could do and try is to just give up and go with her loved ones that where in heaven. “Are you crazy, Bella! I’m not leaving you here to die you are the only one that I have left!” Claudia couldn’t believe what Bella had just said she was always strong and full of hope and now she wants to die. She wasn’t going to let her step-sister to die if their parents found out that she had let there favorite daughter to die they would have killed her. She thought about what Stephen had told them to do before they had torn a big chunk of his neck away, he had told them to climb the tree that was in there backyard and to not get down until the coast was clear. Thank you Stephen, she thought. “Climb that tree Bella there we will stay until they are gone.” Brilliant she thought, just one problem she’ll have to climb first in order to help Bella up, but she’ll have to be fast so they would not grab Bella. “I’ll climb first then you give me your hand so I can pull up. Try to stay positive we will stay alive until the end you and I okay?” “Claudia, I’ll try.” Well that’s good, Claudia thought, it’s almost in of. “Hurry up! They’re getting closer!” “Sorry, trying my hardest not to fall in my ass!” “Claudia! This is no time to be telling jokes!” “Blah Blah Blah! I’m almost there! Give me your hand to start pulling you up!” Bella gives Claudia her hand and tries her hardest to not let her hand slip away from her sisters. Bella finally got up the tree and is now trying not to look down from it, she thinks I’m letting her hand go well no! I’m afraid she’ll let go and jump out of here and get attacked but that ain’t happening. Not on my watch. “You can let go of my hand now Claudia, we’re safe up in this tree for now.” “In your dreams cow bell.” She giggles at the thought of her father calling Bella that, Bella used to hate that nick name that yet she never complained. “Ugh! Don’t start! You know I don’t like being called that,” Bella says annoyed. “How are we going to get them to leave, Claudia? Did you think of that when you told be to climb huh?” “Bella, don’t start I’ll figure it out.” Claudia got annoyed thinking that her sister maybe didn’t think she was smart. “Oh yeah! Like when we were suppose to turn left instead of right. Are you going to mess this up too?” “Bella if looks could kill.” Claudia was getting annoyed by her sisters sly remarks, she thought she was so smart well maybe I should have let her down there to die. Claudia shook of her thoughts and remembered she couldn’t have done that because her parents wouldn’t have forgiven her. “Let’s just stay here and wait to see them get tired of waiting for us to get down.” “It’s getting dark if the walkers are gone by tomorrow morning we’ll go and check out the prison maybe there’s people or supplies in there, okay Santa Claus?” Bella said with a smirk because she remembered something that always pushed her step sisters buttons. “Whatever. Let’s just try to get comfy up here.”                                              Meanwhile Rick and his group finish clearing the outside of one of the lots. “Well it’s getting dark, tomorrow early in the morning we’ll go in and clear one of the blocks! So everyone go get some rest  we have made big accomplishment today but we still have a lot to do to call this our new home.”
