FINISHED WATCHING MHA MOVIE 2: HEROES RISING!!! SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED IT

OH MY FUCKING GOD THIS WAS SO GOOD YO HOLY FUCK I LOVE IT AAAAAAAAAAAAA

This was truly My Bakudeku Academia. Watching that final battle felt like a religious experience- as if I was watching the birth of Christ. Holy fuck if that really was the original ending, with Deku passing OFA to Kacchan, and the whole "Oh it actually stayed with Deku and Bkg got amnesia" didn't happen, this would have been a dramatically different story moving forward.

Horikoshi really loves Bakugou- like absolutely no question. The story following this kind of ending would be about him continuing OFA's legacy with the guilt of a thousand suns on his shoulders for "taking away" Izuku's dream. Izuku would have continued the hero course as an actual quirkless student. I would love to see aus of this being canon and continuing their story from there.

I'm guessing Nine here was supposed to be AFO, and he would basically be gone too. Katsuma is perfectly set up to be the next protagonist (I can already imagine him using Cell Regeneration as Super Regeneration- he could become invincible while also healing others. Incredibly amazing quirk).

THEY ALSO MAKE IT ACTUALLY MAKE MORE SENSE HOW THE WHOLE CLASS IS SEPARATED ON AN ISLAND TOGETHER AS A WHOLE CLASS THIS TIME TOO (and not just half like last movie). They even managed to tie it in to AFO, the LoV, and Hero Society. Like it actually feels more grounded and reasonable why the class would be here alone with supervision.

They even add hints of Touya Todoroki with him having a short battle with Endeavor, Hawks spying in the LoV, the HSPC head cameo, and other little things too. Man I loved this fucking movie I would watch it 10 more times right now.

Since I doubt we will ever get to know what Izuku’s new suit does I was wondering what you’d have his basic loadout be? Like would he have tools based around his One For All abilities or would he have a Class A toolset like All Might?

I prefer to think that Izuku's new suit would be made of items inspired by his "One For All" Quirks. I just think that would be make the most sense for his experience up to that point. However, I do think that he could grow the arsenal to include the items of other heroes. It'd be a good reflection of his immense understanding other heroes and his tendency to incorporate them into his fighting style. As for what those other Quirks would look like:

Float: A pair of jet boots with various levels of propulsion, taking ques from Gran Torino and Nana for their functionality.

Smokescreen: An internal reserve of smoke to disperse at Izuku's discretion. These can be removed and thrown as smoke grenades.

Black Whip: A series of cable winch systems around the suit meant to grab and pull whatever they hit. Can be removed and attached to things.

Danger Sense: A series of sensors interpreting and predicting incoming danger and to warn Izuku of attacks via warnings in his helmet.

Fa Jin: An extra battery of energy meant to super charge the suits' systems, refilling and increasing the power output of each support item he may be using.

Gearshift: An experimental, supplementary addition that designed for super sonic movement. Even with the extra shielding on offer, the suit will struggle to handle the speed.

The back pieces of Dynamight's mask tilt this way and that like some kind of weather vane, as the wind picks up before the storm.

He looks... Well, he looks like Kacchan always does, just with dramatic lighting. Backlit by the red rising sun, he looks like a villain's sure warning, with his lips pulled down in a familiar frown and the knowledge Izuku has of just what he's capable of.

Kacchan's amazing.

... He doesn't do well in the rain though.

Kacchan is scowling at the clouds on the horizon like the weather is conspiring to personally offend him.

That's not very likely; Izuku has been dutifully checking the weather each time Dynamight and Deku are scheduled to patrol together, and learning a little about how weather forms while he's at it.

(If Kacchan's still going to call him a nerd, he might as well live up to it.)

High pressure systems, low pressure systems, convection currents, latitude, the jet stream, the water cycle, rain shadows-

Izuku could tell you all about the weather, but Kacchan would probably tell him to shut up and drag him away to do "more important things."

Patrol is very important, but somehow Izuku doesn't think that's what Kacchan means.

For example, if Izuku were to attempt to inform Kacchan all about the weather, he has the sneaking suspicion that Kacchan would just let him. Kacchan's eyes might glaze over and he might practically fall asleep on his feet, but he would grimly continue on in his Kacchan way, trying his best to give Izuku his full attention.

And then blow up someone else.

Kacchan's been like that since the war. Izuku can do almost whatever he wants, and Kacchan will pretend that it's fine.

It's not fine, though.

Izuku almost wishes sometimes that things would go back to the way they used to be, when Kacchan would blow up at him and assert his boundaries so that Izuku knew where not to step next time.

It had been awful, but by the end of middle school Kacchan had actually been a lot better than he had been at the beginning, the Incident notwithstanding. Or, rather, Izuku had gotten better at squishing himself into the little box that Kacchan demanded that he inhabit.

Izuku doesn't even want to tell Kacchan about the weather. He can tell Ochako, who will laugh at his enthusiasm, or Shouto, who will respond with a thumbs up and a smiley face emoji. That's his thing, lately.

But if Izuku wanted to tell Kacchan about the weather, then Kacchan would let him, even though he really did not give two shits and would probably rather do anything else than stand on a rooftop listening to Izuku ramble on about how in the southern hemisphere the winds are so strong that they call them-

Anyway. That's not the point.

The point is... The point is, Izuku can never really be sure if Kacchan actually wants to hear Izuku talk about things-that-are-not-the-weather, or if he's just humouring him because Kacchan's just weird like that now.

Like, yeah, Izuku and Kacchan are friends now, and that's amazing, Kacchan's amazing, but...

But. They are standing on a rooftop, taking a break, and Izuku has no idea what to say to him.

Hello? The weather looks crappy?

How are you? Do you think you'll be okay?

Izuku could explain Kacchan's own quirk back to him in a way that makes his eyes narrow in intrigue, but he cannot, for the life of him, tell what's going on in Kacchan's head.

He used to have a pretty good read on him. Izuku used to own the dictionary to Kacchanese, and every time Kacchan did something, Izuku would know why.

Izuku does not know why Kacchan is standing on a rooftop next to him, watching him out of the corner of his eye.

He's been doing that a lot lately, too. Looking at Izuku when he seems to think Izuku won't notice.

That's silly. Izuku always notices. It's Kacchan. If Kacchan's looking at him-

Then Izuku is looking right back.

Kacchan doesn't even startle when he realises Izuku has caught him in the act. The old Kacchan might have blustered something about Izuku being the one staring at him all the time, but new Kacchan...

New Kacchan just raises an eyebrow.

A challenge.

Izuku can do challenge.

He lets his lips pull up in the start of Deku's signature smile.

Dynamight grins right back.

And then they're off, and they're going to have to talk, one of these days, about how Izuku is supposed to talk to this new, quieter, overly permissive Kacchan and how all that crap in middle school doesn't mean that Kacchan isn't allowed to have boundaries now and how maybe they should both see a therapist like how Tsuyu told him last week, but for now, today, jumping off a skyscraper-

For now, Izuku has a race to win.

First one to the scene, first one home, first to reach number one- The rest of their lives, chasing each other, just like this.

you know that moment in the first war arc, when Dabi reveals to Endeavour and Shouto that he’s in fact Touya? i know Shouto’s horror in that moment was the realisation that this faint memory of a dead older brother was in fact a murderous villain who’d been tormenting him and his classmates, but like—do you think that changed whatever growing begrudging relationship he had with his dad? because i would argue that Shouto, out of all the Todoroki kids, is closest to Endeavour—not because he wants it, but because for so long Endeavour was all he had as family. which is the cruelty of what Endie did to him, beyond the physical abuse; he was the parent, after he had Rei institutionalised. he was the adult that child sho had to depend on. and now that he’s a teenager coming into his powers and his own freedoms and Endeavour is now like, repeatedly getting his ass humbled, i think that absolutely would’ve shifted something between them. very, very, very slowly. maybe it would’ve never fully healed, maybe it would’ve, eventually—but i do wonder if, in that moment of Touya/Dabi’s reveal, Shouto’s horror also had space in it for what would surely be some kind of grief. not just for Touya/Dabi, but for himself. for the fact that no matter how slowly he was crawling to maybe having some kind of a relationship with his father, outside of the abuse, it would always, always have to weigh against Endeavour’s abuse and neglect of his long long brother.

Christmas Decor Kiss [Izuku & Ochako]

cc-mha-plus-ultras mistletoe + helping each other put up Xmas decorations under the mistletoe, but due to his clumsiness, Izuku falls on her and thus, their first kiss! lmao

"I think that small Reindeer plush could go nicely over here," Ochako smiled before stepping aside as Deku was putting up fake snowflakes on the window of the common room. "Oh, they look so nice! Just keep a few on the window or we won't see the real snow," she laughed before picking up the string of lights that she decided to hang around the windowpane.

Ochako watched at Deku tried to get down from the chair. "Oh, no worries! I can just-" she began before she saw Deku sway since he had accidentally stepped on another plush doll before falling. Sadly or not so sadly, Ochako hadn't been fast enough to evade so that he dropped onto her, causing her to fall on her back. But what was really the thing that made for a good Christmas mood, was the fact that his lips had pressed to hers and Ochako was frozen in shock.

"Mmh!"

Seconds after, her face turned crimson as the mistletoe came into her view. Quickly, she turned her face away, hands hiding her blushing face.

He kissed me!

"Okay!" It was the festive season and Deku was helping decorate the common room, it was a nice welcome break from hero work, they were still highschool kids after all. He was always happy to help, and that was sometimes his downfall, as something he did too much.

"Oh don't worry, it'll be fine-" he managed to say before the worst happened, he couldn't tell if it was a good or bad thing that Ochako was there to cusion his fall, but what happened after shocked him, because he was just trying not to headbutt her.

Their lips met then pressed against each other briefly before Deku backed off, looking like he had just slapped her. Izuku faced away from her, it was hard to tell whose face was more red.

"OMG that was my first kiss! Was that her first kiss? Oh no, did she hit her head? She's so red now! I feel like I'm on fire, could I have a hidden fire quirk?! Wait, that's not important, I need to check that she's okay first!"

Thoughts rushed through him, but he soon took a calming breath, breaking the awkward silence.

"S-sorry about that! Are you alright?" he asked her in concern, still too embarrassed to look at Ochako directly yet.
