“Kacchan, please, just a little longer—?”
Katsuki sighs and reluctantly holds out his arms. Smiling, Izuku embraces his warm body. The two quietly hold each other until Katsuki finally asks, “Better?”
Izuku leans up and lightly kisses his chin. “Much.”

Bakugous bedroom is bare, except for a bed with grey blankets, some weights, and a desk with all his schoolwork and a corkboard with a calander and some school stuff pinned to it.
But in his closet there are a bunch of boxes tucked away where no one can see them. Hes filled them each with different things he’s embarrassed about.
One has all might memorabilia in it.
One has momentos from his friends, a receipt for a drink he bought for one of them, a napkin from when they had ice cream
One holds small rocks or bits of debri from battles he’s been in, including a tiny glass jar holding a small drop of the sludge monster the police missed. he found on him when getting undressed that night. Every item has a date on it, who he fought against, and who was fighting with him
(He has a chunk of rock that chipped off Kirishima while they were practicing one day but don’t tell Kiri that he would never shut up about it)
One holds photos of friends and family
One has books he’s embarrassed of, like anger management books that have singed edges from him getting mad at it or himself
But buried way in the back, in a box he can’t reach without pulling everything else out first, there’s a photo from when he and deku were children, before he had his quirk, grinning with their arms around he each other, the All Might card he got when he was with midoriya, and a small notebook
After he and dekus fight the night of the hero license exam, when everyone else is asleep he pulls out all the boxes and gets the photo of him and Deku out and sits on the floor just looking at it
He wishes he could go back and change what he did but he knows he can’t.
He’s so used to being angry all the time even when he wants to be nice he can’t seem to get it out, let alone get out the words to discribe his feelings
He pulls the notebook out last and opens up to the first page and looks at the letter he wrote to deku the night of the sludge monster attack, reads the words ‘shitty nerd’ and ‘sorry’ before skipping past it, skips past other short notes and letters his written in the past year to different people when he doesn’t know how to say his words out loud
He pauses at the most recent one, one to All Might, face heating up in shame and anger at the tear stains that blur some of the words, and skips past it, ignoring the shaky hand writing and trying not to think about the guilt and pain he was in while writing it
On the blank page he begins to write another letter he’ll never send.
He writes to deku, writes about how he’s felt his whole life, the fear of deku looking down at him, his anger at him improving as quickly, at his sudden closeness to the hero they both loved so much as kids, about the regret and guilt he holds from the pain he inflicted onto deku
about the feelings he’s had for him as kids, about not understanding the feelings until recently but not knowing what to do, anger being the only thing he seems to know anymore
When he’s done he’s written more than he ever has before, thoughts and emotions filling page after page.
he would never admit it but a few tears mark those pages
He sits there, shaking a bit before he stands packs everything up and puts it all back where it goes, wiping away the left over tears on his face and goes to bed
As time goes on he finds he has more emotions than he ever thought he could have
While the anger is still there, it’s a smaller part of him than it’s been in a long time
He keeps writing letter to people, nearly every other night, still too embarrassed to show much emotion, and before he knows it he’s filled the whole book
And if a second notebook has found a home under his mattress where he can reach it easier when emotions hit him, no one needs to know

Not Without You, Chapter 1
Chapter 1: The Dream
The sound of a loud explosion echoed through the training room of U.A.  The students watched as an intense light detonated before them, igniting a fiery ball of yellows and oranges, billowing upwards into a large cloud of smoke that blocked their target.  A few screamed from the sound, covering their ears from the deafening sound and blocking their faces, awaiting the extreme and violent reaction that followed. The ground shook, breaking apart under their feet.
Uraraka, despite the ringing in her ears, lifted her feet in the air, touching as many people as she could around her to lift them out of harm’s way.  She called out to Izuku, who had jumped into the air, levitating above the debris from the eruption.  He used black whip to catch a few students—Aoyama (who graciously thanked him by batting his eyelashes) and Mineta who was caught flying from the initial blast.
“Shinsou, stop him!” Izuku yelled, but when Shinsou’s binds reappeared from the smoke, the ends were completely burned.  Shoto put up an ice wall to protect Mina, who had become slightly injured from the initial attack; Momo had made several grenades of her own, throwing them at the unseen, unmarked target.  The sounds of the grenades echoed across the training facility and for several seconds, it become completely silent.  Izuku landed his feet on the ground, looking into the large cloud of smoke with the rest of the class.  Concern itched across his face, but he didn’t move.  The classmates that Uraraka had lifted into the air were released, crashing down to the quaked floor.
“Did—did I get him?” Momo said, panting with her gashed cheek beginning to bleed profusely.
“Not quite.” growled a voice.  Katsuki Bakugou emerged from the smoke, his body completely untouched, completely unscathed by any of their counter attacks.  His clothes were rags that limply hung from his body.  In his hand, he held one of Momo’s grenades.  Looking shocked and angered she moved towards him, but he pulled the pin and crushed it before it discharged, but before it could do any real damage, he inhaled deeply the tiny pop through his fingers.  He slipped his hand into his pocket before smiling menacingly at his classmates.
Aizawa emerged from the smoke as well.  “That,” he said in his monotoned voice, putting a hand on Katsuki’s shoulder. “—was an ultimate move.  Both offensive and defensive.  The rest of you could stand to learn something from that.  Good work, Bakugou.” He added under his breath, “You scary little shit.” but walked away as the smoke from the room cleared.
“Damn, Bakugou!” Kirishima said, running up to his friend.  “That was awesome, you totally could have killed someone!”
Katsuki exhaled a hot breath.  His body was completely spent from that move—his quirk would need at least an hour or so to regenerate.  He shivered slightly, and Kirishima handed him his jacket that he had tied around his waist.  He covered himself, not used to the cold.  Still, he smiled: his hard work at his work study agency finally paid off.
“It’s detrimental,” Katsuki was warned by his mentor.  “So be careful where and how you use it.”
Katsuki studied incredibly hard, watched video after video of bombs, studying all of his notes on how they worked, even asking a few of the teachers countless questions to turn himself into one.  It finally paid off—in truth, he felt a little badly that some of his classmates had gotten hurt, but he had told them he was working on something, an ultimate move that would put him well-above the rest.  He watched Uraraka help Iida to his feet; he watched Tokoyami’s Dark Shadow discuss strategy with him; he watched Mineta try and sneak up on Hagakure and Jiro put him in place.  His eyes wandered around the room and shifted entirely when he saw a bit of green hair poke up from the rubble.
Shit! he thought, No!  Don’t look! But it was too late.  Izuku’s hair was always a mess—the curls weaved themselves into a tight knot atop his head.  Izuku hopped up, Katsuki could see in his periphery that Izuku used a bit of float to leap himself up onto the platform.
Directly in front of Todoroki.
Anger flared inside of Katsuki.  He silently just watched from afar as Shoto’s arm had extended, touching a light scratch on Izuku’s forehead.  Katsuki was out of heat entirely after the training, but he could hear his heart pounding loudly in his ears as he watched Shoto’s mouth gently touch Izuku’s.
Fucking bastard, Katsuki thought, not sure who it was directed at, himself or Shoto.  The two pulled apart quickly and then chirped on about something Katsuki couldn’t hear.  Shoto looked in Katsuki’s direction like he could feel the intensity of Katsuki’s gaze in his periphery and smirked.  He wrapped an arm around Izuku and kissed his forehead again before lightly brushing his finger across Izuku’s nose and kissing him again.
“If only I had killed him.” Katsuki whispered.  Kirishima gave him a knowing look and Katsuki was almost thankful to see Kaminari running up to both of them.
“Way to go, man!” Kaminari forced Katsuki to avert his eyes.  “You looked like a real bomb, I thought you had blown yourself up, for sure!”
“That’s because you’re a moron.” Katsuki said.
“Get cleaned up, we’re doing Tokoyami’s ultimate move next.” Aizawa informed the class.  “Bakugou, sit this one out.” Katsuki opened his mouth to argue, but Aizawa just held up a hand and said, “I swear to God, if you say one fucking word, you’ll sleep outside.”
Katsuki shut his mouth, not sure if Aizawa fully had the authority to do so, but the short break gave him a moment for his quirk to return.
And it also gave him an excuse to watch Izuku.  Uninterrupted.
Until his phone chimed. Another match?  he asked himself as he looked down at the notification: he’d downloaded quite a few dating apps, but really had no interest in pursuing another relationship after the failed attempt with Izuku a little over a year ago.  It didn’t matter really—most people knew these apps weren’t for dating.  Not that he’d want to date any of them.  Once he turned 18, there really was not stopping him. His taste varied from girl to girl (“Woah, you’re back to being a closeted gay?  Does it count as being closeted if everyone already knows?” “Shut the fuck up, Yoyo, just help me make a profile.  Aren’t you gays good at this sort of thing?” “You’re one of us, asshole!” *dodges attack from Katsuki* “ONE OF US! ONE OF US!”).
A pretty girl appeared on the screen: I T ’ S  A  M A T C H! Katsuki refreshed him memory of who she was, swiping through the pictures on his phone of her—a local girl who went to a college not far from where they were.  She had soft features and long hair that covered most of her face.  Her slim waist held an enormous rack, but he wouldn’t have matched with her because of that.  As he flipped through the pictures, he didn’t remember swiping right on her at all.
Until he got to the one picture where he could see her eyes.  They were a deep, forest color that stopped him in his tracks.  They were clearly contacts as he noticed her eyes in the other pictures were bluer.  But this picture—they were a bright, grassy earth tone.
“Damn, she’s hot as fuck, where’d you find one like her?” Kaminari said, looking over his shoulder at his phone.  “Those can’t even be real!  What’s her name?”
“Don’t know.” Katsuki said, shooting her a quick message: Dtf?  “Don’t care.”
“You could at least act like being an adult is hard for you.” Kirishima said. “I’ve barely been an adult for a month and it honestly sucks ass—,”
A response from the girl: At least take me to dinner and a movie first! He rolled his eyes, but messaged her back with: Only if you wear those green contacts. He waited a few moments before he got a picture message.  The girl had one of her eyes closed, but the other wide-open and so perfectly green.  The contacts looked a little different in this lighting, not nearly as bright, but it would do.  Good enough for you?  He smirked and responded: it’ll do.
Kirishima and Kaminari exchanged looks before one of them told him, “Alright, man, I mean, as long as you’re staying out of trouble and you’re happy, then have fun I guess.”
Katsuki put his phone back in his pocket, ignoring his friends when Sero and Mina came over. Instead, he looked over at Shoto and Izuku.  Shoto’s arm was still wrapped around Izuku’s waist as Izuku punched the air and laughing in his little awkward way and Uraraka ran over to him, the two giving each other high fives and jumping in the air.  I’ll never be happy. Katsuki thought, a quick flashback crossed his mind—a clear image of Izuku looking out at a perfect beach sunrise.  His green, unkempt curls tousling in the wind, his freckles darkly splattered across his face.  As if in slow motion, Izuku’s body turned, showing Katsuki a smile that he would kill to see again.
Now, over a year later, Izuku smiled for someone else.
I’ll never be happy again.
---
Izuku crashed onto his mattress after the long day of combat training, completely spent.  Especially after that crazy attack from Kacchan—
NO! he warned himself.  It hurts, don’t think about it.  But it was hard not to admire the dedication of Katsuki to push his quirk like that.  It must’ve taken so long to learn it, let alone master it the way he had.  Katsuki was willing to go through all of it for the sake of pushing his quirk to the absolute limit.
He was willing to go through so much for you, too.
After Izuku’s failed relationship with Katsuki, Izuku needed to take some time for himself.  He had thought about Katsuki often, even tried to see him outside of school hours just to talk, but Katsuki wanted nothing to do with him.  Frequently, the two would pass each other—Izuku could feel Katsuki’s heat of his quirk.  He’s still upset. He wanted to call out to him, to talk to him, but after several attempts to do so, he came to the realization that Katsuki had moved on from him.  He also left campus every Friday and rumor had it that he was meeting other people.  He tried to not listen to such things and focus on his current relationship, but his mind went back and forth until he finally rationalized the breakup: “I would have loved you had you been kinder, Kacchan.” Izuku knew he was intense, feeling things so deeply that at first Izuku mistook the intensity for passion—but the flame that held their relationship together didn’t hold for long enough.
“Dammit, stop!” he yelled into the pillow he placed over his face.  Izuku took his advice and to distract himself, he scrolled through his phone, rereading some of the more recent messages from Shoto.  It read things like: In a world full of darkness, you are my beacon of light.  It made Izuku smile at least, despite the text being as cliché as it was.  His relationship with the youngest in the Todoroki member was (using no other word for it) perfect.
Shoto was the ideal boyfriend.  He was insanely smart, extremely perceptive, not to mention incredibly handsome.  His body was slim, but toned, his muscles outlining his slender frame.  His duo-chromed eyes made Izuku weak at the knees, despite having an almost naturally nonchalant gaze to them.  He was gorgeous, split precisely down the middle.  The curtains also matched the drapes, which didn’t surprise Izuku too much, as his pubic hair was a deep green and tangled up like the madness that sat atop his head.  Shoto was sweet to him as they hardly ever argued.  And when the two did start exclusively dating, it didn’t take long for them to start exploring each other entirely.  They hadn’t had sex yet—Shoto said he wanted to at least wait until after graduation, which Izuku respected.
The two spent the weekends together most of the time.  After seeing Shoto’s mother would head to his home, eat with his family and when they were alone, would kiss each other, touch each other a little, fooling around before falling asleep next to each other.  It was a routine and Izuku couldn’t help but feel that Shoto had penciled him into his mental schedule, sectioning off a piece of every Saturday for Izuku.
Izuku’s eyes became heavy as he scrolled through more lyrical lines of clichéd poetry Shoto had sent him. Sleep pooled at his eyelids, dragging them down in slow blinks.  His breathing slowed, inhaling and exhaling deeply, soothing him with each rise and fall of his chest.  With each blink, he was entranced by a dream: arms lightly wrapped around him, soft breaths in his face and Izuku knew he was asleep too.  He…?  I’m alone.  There was a feeling of permanent warmth that surrounded Izuku.  His eyes would suddenly open and Izuku was alone, back in his room, but then doze off, back into his luxurious, comforted subconscious. Izuku was fully awake here, not feeling tired at all.  Strange…I know I’m dreaming…Izuku turned his body, and closed his eyes, kissing the forehead lightly of the man that held him.
“Hmmm?” a gentle response that echoed in Izuku’s thoughts.  It was a deep sound, but lazy and resonated through Izuku.  He couldn’t make out a voice, nor a real figure—just a shadow entity that encased around Izuku, overtaking his thoughts and feelings.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you.” Izuku heard himself say, being fully submerged underneath a hard weight, not being able to tell if it was physically or mentally heavy.
“Sure you didn’t.” the voice said, a tone of sarcasm.  There was a light kiss from the shadows in the dark room that Izuku was brought to. Lips plump and wet, like kissing a misty cloud.  Izuku raised his hands above his head.  Pin me down…Izuku thought loudly and suddenly, two hands pushed him into the bed, holding on to his wrists in a bind.  Izuku gasped.  Can….can I control this dream?
“Oh, you like that, huh?” the words seemed to ring in Izuku’s head when the man said it, but the kissing didn’t stop.  Izuku opened his mouth, their tongues slipping along one another.
“Mmmm…” Izuku groaned loudly, running his hands through his rough hair before sliding his hands down the sides of the body that lay above him.  This feels so real.  Izuku panted hot breaths.  His heart pounded hard against his ribcage.  The two fooled around, explicitly exploring each other’s bodies.
“Tell me you want me—,” he heard a voice growl at him.
Is that….?  No, it can’t be…
“Deku.”
Izuku’s eyes opened instantly, sitting up straight up in his bed.  Beads of sweat dripped down his face, his temperature rising substantially throughout his body.  He frantically searched for his phone and once he had calmed himself, he did a couple minutes of research until he came across the words “lucid dream.”
It was the first time he’d thought about Katsuki—really thought about him—in months.  No, not him.  Izuku thought.  Not him.  Not now.  Not after all this time.  But he couldn’t shake it.
I need to have that again.

Not Without You, Part 2 to Stay
Summary: It's been a year since Katsuki and Izuku broke up. Since then, the two have hardly spoken and have done a good job at maintaining their distance from one another. But Katsuki still thinks about him constantly and watches from afar as Shoto and Izuku's relationship blossoms. But up close, Izuku isn't as happy as he appears. He feels his relationship with Shoto is predictable and, frankly, getting boring. But after a spicy dream that completely consumes Izuku, he starts to distort between reality and his dream world.
A world where he and Katsuki are still together.
Rating: Explicit on my AO3 (18+, NSFW) but Teen and Up here on Tumblr

Stay, Part 1: Chapter 2
Chapter 2: The Realization
“Woah, a dance?” Kirishima asked, rubbing the back of his head. The boys were in the locker room, changing out of their formal wear into their P.E. uniform.  Iida had just informed everyone that there was to be a dance at U.A. after the class representative meeting. “Like…. with girls?”
“Yes.” Iida said, spinning around to face Kirishima.  “It will be held a week from this Friday.”
“Can’t wait.” Mineta said, his mouth starting to drool and his eyes hungry.  “See all those girls.  With the low-cut dresses and the high skirts showing off their perfect legs—,”
“We were told to behave ourselves.” Iida said, looking past the brim of his glasses to glare at Mineta directly.  Katsuki laughed and rolled his eyes.  “We’re allowed to bring people from other schools, so feel free to ask whoever you’d like.”
“See, look at that Mineta, you can bring your Mom.  Oof!” Kaminari was elbowed at that remark.
“Shut the fuck up, I’ll bring the hottest girl out of all of you!” Mineta said.
“Not with that small thing you call a dick.” Kaminari said, pointing.  Katsuki turned around, but it looked pretty average to him.  It was gross and limp, but Mineta grabbed a towel from his locker and covered himself.  Katsuki laughed and threw a small explosion and Mineta making him jumped and drop the towel.  Most of the room laughed until Iida reprimanded Katsuki for starting to fight, but he just smiled, proud of himself for making Mineta drop the towel to get another peek.  He just wanted to make sure his was bigger and when that was more than confirmed, he was satisfied.
Mineta marched right up to Todoroki and told him, “I’m asking Yaoyorozu.  She’s mine!”  Todoroki shrugged his shoulders, zipping up the uniform jacket.  Mostly everyone was done getting ready, but they usually had a little time before the girls were done to sit and talk.
“I’ll probably just go in a group.” Todoroki said.
Iida shot a hand out and nodded.  “Yes, that’s perfectly fine.”
Katsuki closed his locker and sat down on a bench, putting one leg over one side so he could face everyone. A stupid dance?  He hated school events.  He sighed loudly.  Now they would determine the groups and he’d probably get stuck with Kirishima again. “Also, you are allowed to go home this weekend to get nice clothes for the dance.” Iida added.
“A visit home?” Izuku asked, his eyes perking up.  Unlike Katsuki, he was totally entranced with what was going on.  Katsuki studied his face well enough growing up to know that face. He was excited.  “I’ll text my mom, she’ll be so happy!”
“Try not to get attacked by villains on your way home, Midoriya!” Kaminari said.
“Actually,” Todoroki said.  “Would you like to ride the train together, Midoriya?”  Katsuki’s leaned in slightly, ears perking up and he listened as Todoroki whispered, “I’d like to talk to you about something.”
Katsuki’s ears shot up at that.  They were going to ride home together?  Like, together-together?  They lived in the total opposite directions.  Todoroki narrowed his gaze when Izuku nodded, exchanging knowing looks. What could Todoroki say that I don’t already know?  Aren’t we friends, too?  His heart skipped for second, but the bell rang and they all piled into the hallway.
“You coming, Kacchan?” Katsuki looked over and saw Izuku standing over him.  The sound of a flute played in his voice.   A little, annoying flute that’s out of tune.
“Yeah.” Katsuki got up off the bench and followed the large group of people out of the locker room.
What the fuck could they have to talk about?
---
The school day was long, but Katsuki just tapped his pen against his notebook.  He couldn’t stop thinking about Izuku riding home with Todoroki this weekend.  Maybe it was about the dance?  But what did that matter?  They weren’t together.  He’d caught Todoroki talking to way too many girls.  He’s not like that.
Neither are you. A voice in the back of his head told him.  He never looked at Todoroki like that, ever.  His quirk was stupid and he was a fucking show off.  He’s the son the Number 1 Pro Hero.  Definitely a spot that Katsuki wanted to be in.  He was also good looking, but everyone could see that.
Right?
Katsuki shook his head.  He was a little afraid to look at Todoroki, but he finally did after calling himself a pussy one too many times.  Just fucking do it.  He glanced upwards, looking up to where Todoroki stood at the front of the class. He saw the hair first, parted slightly where the white met the red.  He noticed the scar on Todoroki’s face more intently, a serious scar that covered his left eye.  His build was strong, especially in the arms, but his shoulders were slim.  Not like Katsuki’s, who had a broad shoulder and large chest.  A few of the assholes in class joked that Katsuki’s tits were almost as big as Yaoyorozu’s.  Katsuki’s eyes drifted down to Todoroki’s slacks.  They didn’t display anything out of the ordinary and Katsuki took a sigh of relief.  He wasn’t remotely attracted to Todoroki in any way.  He slightly laughed at himself for thinking maybe he was gay.
“Sure, we could all be in a group together, Deku!” Katsuki heard Uraraka shout from across the room.  “I think that sounds like fun!”   Katsuki looked over and saw Izuku smiling at her.  Why was he so happy all the damn time?  He felt a sudden rush of heat throughout his body, almost uncontrollably, but he took a breath and calmed himself.  Using his periphery, he looked across the room again and Deku was talking excitedly with the people he normally hung around.  But then, Todoroki walked over to him, and Katsuki watched as Todoroki said something Katsuki couldn’t quite make out that made the both of them smile.  At the smile, Katsuki shot up out of his seat, but was almost stopped by Kirishima.
“You alright, Bakugou?” Kirishima asked.  That snapped Katsuki out of whatever funk he was feeling.  “You look…actually, I’ve never seen that look on you.  Confused maybe?”  Katsuki growled at him and Kirishima grimaced.  “Okay, no, not confused then.  Great.”  Katsuki sat back down in his seat again as Kirishima said, “So I think everyone is going to this dance in groups.  Wanna join mine?”
“Not really, shitty hair.” Katsuki told him.  That was true.  He thought the dance was a stupid idea.
“That’s too bad since you’re the only one other than Todoroki who has Camie’s number.” Kirishima said, adding the last part quietly.
“Who?” Katsuki asked, looking at Kirishima.  “Oh, Camie. The girl from the licensing exam.” Katsuki said.  Now there was a girl who could get boys excited.  Not only was the insanely hot, but she showed off her body in a black, leather body suit.  Her dirty blonde hair waterfalled past her shoulders, making her golden tanned skin gleam in the sunlight.  And at that, Katsuki remembered he did have her number from their remedial course together, but she went to school all the way across Japan.
“Dude, she goes to Shiketsu.” Katsuki reminded him.
“I know, it’s just—” Kirishima leaned in.  “I think she’s really pretty and I want to, you know, ask her to come with me.  I mean, with us, but I want to be the one to ask her and you’re kind of my wing man.”
Katsuki smirked at him, but truthfully, he talked to her so rarely, and thought it would be really awkward.  He looked back over and Izuku who was still talking and laughing with Todoroki, their arms waving around enthusiastically.  Katsuki felt his cheeks turn pink.  What the fuck?  Why do I feel like this?  He turned back and told Kirishima, “Sure, I got you, man.”
Pulling out his phone, he quickly messaged her:
This is Bakugou from the licensing exam.  A friend of mine has something he wants to ask you, can I give him your number?
He looked over again and Izuku had sat down, looking at Todoroki with beaming eyes.  A quick vibration and glancing at his phone, the text read:
I remember you, hot stuff.  Is he a cutie like you?
Katsuki’s repsonse: Find out for yourself.
I’d rather it be you.
Camie was definitely someone to play with emotions, but he didn’t feel like participating in her games.  He showed to text to Kirishima, who groaned. “Ugh, seriously?  She’s never even met me, how does she know I’m not hotter than you?”
“Because you’re not.” Katsuki smiled, punching him in the arm.  “What do you want me to say?”  Kirishima opened his mouth, but then closed it again in intense thought. “I mean, either she comes with you—with us before you get all whatever—or she doesn’t come at all.”  He sighed, his head drooping.  “Sure, ask her.”
Katsuki looked over at Izuku one more than, and this time, their eyes met.  Izuku nervously smiled and Katsuki was suddenly fired up. He looked back at Todoroki and he felt his heart quicken. He watched as Izuku’s cheeks rise up when he laughed and heard his voice carry through the room.  He watched at Izuku’s overwhelming facial expressions matched with his arms, excitedly waving around.  He watched and his heartbeat quickened even more as Izuku took off the school jacket uniform, unbuttoning it slowly and then peeling it off.  I’d like that do that to you, Deku.
Katsuki shook his head. “No, I wouldn’t!” Katsuki said loudly.
There was a pause and Katsuki realized where he was and who he was talking to.  “So, you won’t ask her for me?”
He gritted his teeth in anger, the heat once again moving quickly through his body.  He typed into his phone: My school is having a dance and I’d like you to go with me and my friends.
In waiting for a response from Camie, his eyes wouldn’t peel away from Izuku’s green, curly hair. Todoroki touched his shoulder and whispered something in his ear, making Katsuki’s heart drop.  A vibration from his phone:
Hells yeah, give me a time and place and
I’ll make sure we have a good time.
Kirishima looked at the text, reading it upside down but after a few seconds of digesting it, he looked like he was going to cry.  At least someone was happy.  He looked back over his shoulder one more time, but to his dismay, Todoroki was flexing his bicep and Izuku was studying it.  Getting Iida’s opinion, but the two of them were giving him pointers on how he could keep muscles mass up on his left side, which was his flame side.
But then Izuku reached out touched Todoroki’s muscle and squeezed.   Anger raged through Katsuki and he growled, but then stopped himself. WHAT AM I THINKING?!
Ectoplasm entered the class for their lecture, but Katsuki’s head immediately filled with thoughts of he and Deku’s training fight over a month ago.  Their breaths were heavy, both of them working on perfecting techniques they’d learned in class.  But it was more than that, Katsuki thought.  Izuku was shirtless, his pants hanging a little low.  He could see the outline of Izuku’s abs perfectly.  Stop it.  But more images of Izuku flooded his mind and made Katsuki harden slightly.  He thought about how Izuku had told him they should practice more and fantasy took over his mind.  The thought of Deku’s clothes ripping, teasing Katsuki with a little bit of skin.  The thought of their sweaty bodies touching each other.  The thought of their lips touching.
He was fully hard now and when he glanced up, class had already begun, all the students were in their seats.  Which meant—
—Izuku was sitting next to him.
“Can I please go to the bathroom?”  Katsuki didn’t wait for an answer.  He grabbed a book and stormed out of the classroom.  He went into the bathroom, stood above the sink and looked at himself in the mirror.  He couldn’t get Izuku out of his head.  He breathed heavily, but imagined Izuku near him, behind him, hugging him, holding him.
Kissing him.
But it was just a fantasy.  That’s all.
---
He said nothing to anyone the next day either or the day after that.  He kept his head down, not looking at anyone.  Occasionally, he’d try to convince himself he wasn’t gay, but then settled on the fact that he could be bi, but he’d glance at the men around the room.  He was attracted to none of them, but he was careful not to look at the curly green hair next to him, but when his eyes landed on Izuku, his heart would almost stop. He noticed things that he’d seen all his life growing up with Izuku.  His freckles—God, those fucking freckles—they were so dark against his pale skin.  His hair that Katsuki had pulled as a kid was just as curly in their adolescence. Katsuki wondered if it was just as soft.
“Bakugou, hey.” Kirishima snapped him out of it.  He put a hand on Bakugou’s back.  “Are…are you feeling okay?  We’re all getting kind of worried about you.”
“Worried?” Katsuki asked.  Had people noticed when he’d left class the other day?
“Yeah.  You know if you ever want to talk, you can, right?” Kirishima’s cheeks went pink.  He’d clearly talked to others already about this.  Katsuki nodded.  “Okay, just making sure.  As long as you’re okay.”  Kirishima went to turn around and then stopped for a moment before he was inches from Katsuki’s face.   The fuck, why is he so close?  Does…can he read minds too?  “Get the fuck out of my face, Shitty—,”
“It’s Camie, isn’t it?” Kirishima said.  Katsuki stared at him.  He’d totally forgotten that Camie was traveling across Japan to come to the dance next week.  “You…. you like her, don’t you?”
Katsuki didn’t know how to answer.  “Um—,”
“It’s—I mean, it’s alright.  I’m not mad, just—,” Kirishima lowered his voice.  “You’re so manly and girls look at you all the time.”
“Uhhhh,” was all that came out of Katsuki’s mouth.  Girls looked at him?  Why had he never noticed?  Is it because I don’t care?  Because—no, stop that!  A quick flashback of Izuku catching a butterfly and releasing it from his childhood ran through his mind.  He shook it off.  “Could—I mean—it’s really—,” WHY THE FUCK CAN’T I TALK?!  He whispered to Kirishima.  “Could—we should talk, but later.  Not now.”
“Sure.” Kirishima looked up at his friend.  Seeing that it was more serious than usual, he suggested, “We should go to lunch.”
“Yeah.” Katsuki told him, pushing himself off the wall he was leaning on. The two of them walked through the halls.  People passed the two of them, but Katsuki still kept his head down.  Once in the lunch room, they grabbed food and sat down next to each other.
“Alright, let’s talk about Camie—,” Kirishima said.
Katsuki had half a brain to hit him.  “It’s not Camie, shit head, shut it.” He took a deep breath.  “It’s really not Camie.  She’s hot, but just…not my type.”
“What?” Kirishima said. “Not your type?  The fuck, bruh, she’s every guy’s type—,”
“I just don’t care about her.” Katsuki said.  “Once she gets here, I’ll introduce you and you can have her.”
Kirishima was quiet and eventually said, “Okay, then.  Thanks, I guess.”  Kirishima took a bite of rice.  Katsuki stared at his food.  “So, what’s with the weird treatment?”
“What’d’ya mean?” Katsuki asked.
“I just mean you’ve been quieter than usual.  Even in combat training yesterday, you hardly said anything to anyone.  Mineta even called you a boner killer and you still said nothing—,”
“Sticky Balls said what?!” Katsuki turned his to peer at the table that Mineta normally sits at, but quickly turned back around when he caught a glimpse of green hair.  Don’t look at him.
“You didn’t notice? We’ve been trying to get your attention for the past few days, but you keep ignoring everyone—,”
He didn’t hear anything else as a group of 3rd years walked past their table and their noise level was louder than everyone else’s.  He looked through the group of kids and noticed a third year, Kagayaku Yoroinokishi.   The only reason Katsuki remotely learned his name was because he was the only student to come out and tell everyone he was gay. And Mina Ashido, being the gossip she is, ran it through not only their class, but also others. Not that you couldn’t already tell.  The guy was incredibly flamboyant, constantly touching his perfectly matted, white hair, as if he were trying to make sure it still looked flawless the way he styled it. His voice and laugh was high pitched like how cartoon girls talked.  Katsuki got up, not listening to Kirishima’s call.  He stayed behind the 3rd year’s group until Yoroinokishi broke off and went into the bathroom.
Katsuki hadn’t set foot in there since the other day, but took a deep breath before heading in himself.
To Katsuki’s surprise, Yoroinokishi wasn’t in a stall.  He was leaning against the wall next to the sinks, looking straight at Katsuki.  His arms were crossed, but he was smirking, an eyebrow raised.  “It’s kind of weird to follow people around, you know.  Jesus, you underclassmen are really something else.”
“Are we alone?” Katsuki said, peering underneath the stalls.  He saw no one’s feet and jumped back up.
“I’d assume so.” Yoroinokishi said, taking his backpack off and putting it on the ground.  He looked in the mirror and winked at himself.
“I have to talk to someone.  About what’s happening to me.” Katsuki said.
“Okay.  Let’s talk.” Yoroinokishi said, gesturing for Katsuki to start speaking.
But Katsuki didn’t know where to start.  He finally just decided to ask him, “How did you know?”
“You’ll have to be more specific.  You’re either referring to how I knew I was gay or how I knew the answer to number 3 of my math homework.”
Katsuki grumbled, “Th-the first one.”
Yoroinokishi stared for moment.  “I’ve known since I was little and liked my big Edgeshot shirtless poster over my brother’s Midnight one.  I’ve always like boys, so there was no hesitation for me.” He sighed and looking up at Katsuki asked, “People are going to like or hate you based on however society has shaped them. Why do you ask?”  Yoroinokishi put his hands in his pockets and waited for answer.  But Katsuki couldn’t speak.  “Okay, then, I’ll ask the questions.  How long have you known you’ve been gay?”
Katsuki glared at him. “I-I’m not—,” but he stopped himself. “I don’t think I am gay because I find girls attractive.  It’s just—this one person.”
Yoroinokishi cocked his head.  A single strand of red hair fell out of place.  “That’s one I’ve never heard.”  He shook his head.  “So, you’re bi.  I still don’t understand why you’ve backed me into a corner.  So to speak.”  His voice growled deeply and he winked.  “Just to clarify, he didn’t like, hurt you in any way, right?  He’s not like a creepy uncle?”
“He’s in my class and no, he didn’t hurt me.  It’s…well, it’s kind of the other way around.”  Katsuki was so confused.  “I just don’t know what to do.  I can’t stop thinking about him.  It’s honestly hard to focus on anything else.  I tried to not think about him, I’ve tried avoiding him, but nothing really works.  And I can’t get him away from me.  Or out of my head.  He’s always around.  We—well, we grew up together.  I can’t tell if I hate him or—,” Katsuki stopped himself and looked down at his hands.  He was shaking. That was the first time he’s admitted that, even to himself.  “I just don’t know what the fuck to do.”  He put his head in his hands, cursing loudly.  Tears started to form behind his lids and he almost couldn’t contain it. He flinched when he felt a gentle hand on his shoulder.
He moved his hands to see Yoroinokishi’s brown eyes looking at him, but instead of looking worried, they looked happy.  “It’s just love, regardless of who it is or what it stands for.”
“I should hate him. I’ve always hated him.” Katsuki said through his tears.  “I hate that stupid, fucking nerd.”
Yoroinokishi shook his head and then wrapped his arms around Katsuki’s broad shoulders.  He was much taller and Katsuki buried his head in his shoulder.  “It’s okay. Just let it out.”  He did.  For a good five or so minutes, they stood there until Katsuki pulled away. Yoroinokishi used his thumb to start wiping Katsuki’s face.  “Maybe you’ve never hated him.  Maybe you’ve always loved him and are just realizing it now.  People do and say mean things to people they love.”  He paused and Katsuki leaned into him.  “My father was the one who really pushed me to be straight.  I finally told him, but instead of listening, he put me in a vigilante gang.  The bastard said it would be good for my quirk to practice and he tried to push the gay out of me.  It was—,” he let go of Katsuki and lifted his shirt to reveal a large scar on his stomach.  “—rough. It’s like the Quirk Matches we do now, only then, we could hurt others without penalty.  It’s super illegal, but I think my Dad justified it because he wasn’t the one hurting me.  I rebelled and took it out on the others.  I got into fights even outside the matches, but I didn’t want to hide it anymore.  So, in my last match my father ever watched, I kissed the opponent instead of fighting him.  Took my dad by surprise, but it felt like one of the most natural things in the world to me.”  He patted Katsuki on the head.  “If it feels natural to love him, then do it.  You’ll be surprised.” He pushed away tears falling down Katsuki’s cheeks with his thumb.  “I know it’s hard.  But I’ll tell you what I told that other 2nd year who cornered me into the bathroom—,”
Katsuki was surprised. “There was another?  In my year?  Who—?”
But Yoroinokishi shook his head.  “When he wants to tell people, he will.  Otherwise, my lips are sealed.  They are with you as well.  But I’ll tell you what I told him: it’s easier to be yourself than it is to try and pretend and be someone else.  Even if you aren’t gay.”  Yoroinokishi smiled at him and started to walk out.
“Yoroinokishi.” Katsuki said, stopping him.  “Don’t tell anyone or I’ll kill you.”
Yoroinokishi smirked. “My lips are zipped!”  He winked, but then noticed the tiny strand of hair that had fallen in front of his face.  “By the way, puh-LEASE don’t call me Yoroinokishi.  Call me Yoyo.”  With that, the upperclassman left, leaving Katsuki in the bathroom.
He walked over to the sink and rinsed his eyes and face, which were puffy and red from crying.  He checked his phone and seeing he was almost late for class, he realized he couldn’t be seen like that.  He waited a few minutes, pulling his phone out of his pocket and scrolling through social media, trying to distract himself.  But he ran across a picture of Izuku, and his heart pained in his chest.  Instead of scrolling past it, he stared at it for a few moments.  Izuku’s smile in the picture was so wide, it actually brought Katsuki to smile too.
Feeling ready, he walked into his class, feeling much better.  When he sat down, he noticed everyone looking at him.  Kirishima patted him on the shoulder.  “You okay, man?”
Katsuki looked over at him, his eyes worried, but he smirked and said, “All you extras worry for nothing.  I’m fine.” They relaxed a little and most went back to the classwork.  But Katsuki looked at Izuku, who hadn’t taken his eyes off of Katsuki.  Instead of looking away this time, Katsuki stared right into his perfectly round, bright green eyes.  Their gazes locked and Katsuki felt his heart race in his chest, holding it for just a moment longer before finally telling him softly, “Really, I’m okay.”  Izuku’s cheeks turned a little pink in the midst of their gaze.  Katsuki watched Izuku’s eyes blink a few times until he finally looked away. Katsuki laughed to himself and licking the tip of his pen, he got ready for the next class.

Story Board
Hello!  I’m gaining like 3 followers a day and for those of you who are new, welcome!  I’m almost at 150 followers (I literally feel like I just hit 100).
Here’s a reorganization of my stories so far.
Stay, Part 1
AO3
Tumblr
AO3 is a little smuttier, 18+ readers only.  Tumblr is more PG-13.
Chapter 285, Reimagined
AO3
Tumblr
Both are mostly the same.  I tend to edit more on my AO3 page, so everything is more refined.
I’m currently working on a super smutty (18+ ONLY, NSFW) Kinktober short story (that will be posted soon) and on request a Bakugou X Reader piece.  Also, Part 2 of Stay, which is happening a little slower than I would like, but it’s coming along too!
Also, just because I think this story needs more recognition:
@bkdk-writings-dump is an author here on tumblr who’s page is nothing but absolutely positivity for bkdk shippers.  The story For the Winter (I’ll Be Yours) they wrote on tumblr and AO3 deserves so much.  It’s one of my absolute favorite pieces of bkdk fanfiction.  If you haven’t already, please go check it out!
That’s all for now!

Old Chapter for Heartbreaking Events
This is still one of my favorite BakuDeku chapters from the fic.  A Blast from the Past from my fic Stay, Part 1.
I feel like if you need to read something cute after the events of BNHA Manga (Chapter 285), then this is the short chapter for you.  I cannot believe what happened.  It broke my heart.  We both stan, simp and (sometimes) even hate Kacchan, but he completely redeemed himself in my eyes.  I hope others see that too!  His character development is nothing short of incredible.

Stay, Part 1: Chapter 11.5
Chapter 11.5: Rescue Efforts
“In all my years of teaching, you all are easily my least favorite students.” Aizawa told them.  The boys said nothing, only looking down at their feet. “I’m sick of chasing you down.  Sick of laying down rules only to have them be broken. Even a mediocre hero knows which rules to absolutely obey.” Aizawa’s eyes shifted between each of them.
Fucking hell, how long can this man go without blinking?  Katsuki thought. The heat had entirely left his body and hadn’t returned. Katsuki shivered—for a split second, he thought he’d get hypothermia.  Shit, it’s so fucking cold.
“Kaminari, I told you to do one thing, one FUCKING thing and that was to just wait.  Just hold on until Edgeshot, me or any one of the other heroes told you otherwise.  Shinsou, you didn’t even pay attention to the briefing, did you?  Bakugou, you’ve broken so many rules, I don’t even know where to start.  And Kirishima—,”
Kirishima didn’t look up.  He only stared at the ground, no emotions behind his eyes.  His hair was shaved, little black roots starting to poke through the top of his head.  The entirety of his body was covered with black and blue spots that varied in size, some with scratches and others with deep wounds.  One, Katsuki knew, was a deep laceration where he’d been stabbed.  Both his eyes were swollen and his nose was crooked, likely from being punched and kicked so many times.  He was incredibly skinny now, but his muscle definition still remained.
“We are glad you’re back.” Aizawa said, but then added, “But this can’t go without punishment.  I ought to fucking expel all of you.  You had so much potential, but so much selfishness.”
It took three days for the mission to be completed.  The three of them weren’t likely to forget the events that had taken place during the rescue mission and there were definitely a few casualties.  Shinsou had a few bruises as well as Kaminari.  Katsuki had a black eye, his left arm was in a brace and several large scratches like someone had carved his arms.  But none of them looked nearly as bad as Kirishima.  Yoyo’s group had found Camie were currently escorting her back to Shiketsu.
It was true to mission didn’t go as planned. When everyone found out the League of Villains was involved, it was hard not to target them, but Eraserhead reminded them (several times) that it was a rescue mission, not an infiltration.  It was finally Katsuki who found Kirishima, laying on a cold, concrete floor, completely naked.  Katsuki took off his shirt and wrapped Kirishima’s groin, not to expose him when the other heroes caught up.  He was surrounded by a cage and was shivering.  Katsuki warmed his hands and chest, pulling his friend in a warm embrace. “Christ, what did they do to you?” But Kirishima’s eyes were wide open, but he didn’t make eye contact, only staring straight forwards.  “Come on, snap out of it.  We have to go!”
“You think I’m going to let you take him?”
Turning around, Katsuki thought, Shit!  It was Dabi.  Katsuki moved to protect Kirishima, gently placing him back on the floor and held out his hands.  A blast of blue fire was hurled at the two of them, but Katsuki inhaled and the fire moved through his hands and into his chest.  Damn, this is hotter than Todoroki’s fire!  With his chest heated, he hurled an ultimate move, throwing the blue flames back at Dabi, igniting his sweaty palms.  Smoke filled the room, an explosion so loud it made Katsuki’s ears start to ring.  Kirishima flinched slightly at the sound, his eyes widened a little in fear.
“You can eat fire? That’s a nice trick.” Dabi said, moving forward through the smoke.  He was completely unscathed.
He dodged my attack?  “I can do more than that.” Katsuki said, slowed his breathing, allowing his quirk to completely overtake his whole body.  “I haven’t had the chance to let loose in a while. Say goodbye, asshole.”
Dabi smiled. “Goodbye, asshole.” another voice said behind him—a female’s.
Toga!  Katsuki was knocked unconscious instantly, darkness completely overtaking his mind. Deku….he thought and the last thing he saw was going head first into the concrete.
“You’re lucky that you only dislocated your shoulder.” Aizawa told him, snapping Katsuki back to being in the car. “If Shinsou hadn’t been there, there’s no telling what would have happened.” Aizawa blinked, for the first time in what felt like forever.  Katsuki felt himself warm instantly, but the heat made his shoulder hurt.  He made a sort of tsk sound, but nothing else to give away that he was in any sort of pain.
“Sir?” Kirishima said.  They all looked at him.  It was the first time he’d spoken.  His eyes were up now, looking directly at Aizawa.  “Could—could I have some water, please?”
There was a brief pause before Katsuki said, “Here.  You can have mine.” And passed the water to his friend.
“Thanks, at least.  For coming to get me and Camie.” a few tears formed behind Kirishima’s eyes.  “I—I’m really sorry.”
Aizawa’s eyes were kept closed. “Let’s just focus on getting you back to campus and we’ll decide what to do from there.”  Without blinking, tears streamed down Kirishima’s cheeks and Aizawa told him,  “We’re just glad you’re okay.”
---
“Guys, they’re here!” Mina said, peering out the window.
Izuku was sitting down next to Todoroki, the two trying to complete their homework since they’d fallen behind a little.  But hearing those words, Izuku jumped up and ran over to the window, using a little of float to help him get there faster than other students.
“Oh no, they look so hurt!” Uraraka said.  It was true—they looked in pretty bad shape.  Katsuki’s arm was in a sling, wrapping around his shoulder.  He was covered in scratches and there was a large bandage on his cheek.  “Look, it’s Kirishima!”  The class gasped as Kirishima got out of the car, being helped by Kaminari and Shinsou. Katsuki walked behind them, but his eyes never left Kirishima as they walked up the stairs to the 2-A dorm.  No one dared to breathe until they walked inside. The door squeaked open and all the boys walked in.
“Hi, everyone.” Kirishima said. And almost instantly, he was greeted with a mountain of hugs from everyone, telling him how happy they were to see him, showering him with love and affection.  It was like the last piece of a puzzle was put into place, having Kirishima back.  Katsuki never left his side either—until Izuku jumped up, wrapping around Katsuki’s neck and the other around his torso, careful of his hurt arm.  They hugged tightly, Katsuki holding Izuku’s waist with his one hand.  Izuku grabbed the back of Katsuki’s neck.
“I’m glad you’re back.” Izuku whispered in his ear.
“I told you I’d be back, nerd.” Katsuki said, giving him a soft kiss on the forehead.  Kirishima’s eyes widened. Kirishima’s cheeks turned pink and he looked away, then back at the two of them.
“Are—is—I mean, what?” he asked. “Are you guys—what’s happening?”
“You’re an idiot.” Katsuki told Kirishima, letting Izuku go.
“You four,” Aizawa said, stepping forward, speaking only to the four who were involved in the mission.  “In an hour, I’ll need to see all of you.  But I’ll let you get reacquainted and changed. Iida—,” Iida stepped forward, standing almost at full attention; Aizawa pointed at Izuku and Katsuki.  “—keep an eye on those two.”
“Yes, sir!” Iida said loudly, and sliced an arm between them and pushed them apart.
“Watch it, Four Eyes!  My arm!” Katsuki said, but Izuku watched Kirishima’s sharp teeth form a smile.  Katsuki must’ve noticed too because he smiled as well.
It was good to have Kirishima back.
