I couldn’t get the Target sticker off very easily, but I finished Shadows of the Sith yesterday. Rise of Skywalker is far from my favorite movie, but it’s the one we got. This book serves as a prequel to that film, and goes a long way to fleshing out a lot of the stuff that suddenly appeared in that film without much explanation. And it tells a compelling story in its own right, and sets up possible future stories that I’d like to read. And Adam Christopher does a great job with both Luke and Lando. I wonder if soon or later DelReyStarWars books will have the guts to write an Hux novel from his point of view, not told from someone else as in Phasma novel, I want hear everything Armitage Hux felt expecially when he took revenge against his abusers and when he destroyed Hosnian Prime. Sad parts, vengeful parts, annoyed and funny parts; no left out nothing!

Solo A Star Wars Story is the first SW movie for which I have no expectations. Of course I want it to be good! I want ‘em to show me that the movie that nobody seemed to want is one we’ll like and enjoy. Personally it’s because of these books, they’re so dear to me (specially the first one). They were my door to the (old) SW Expanded Universe and showed me stories beyond the movies, characters lives, and more! Han Solo is a character I never imagined connecting with the way I did after I read these books. If you ever want to read some good stories about Han Solo go get them ;). Whereas previous @delreystarwars audio dramas have relied on devices that still allow for mostly a single narrator—characters telling a story, reading a diary or journal, etc—author @georgemannauthor is telling a straight drama without narrative crutches and it’s great. This feels very much like the next chapter in the High Republic series, bringing together characters and storylines from the last 3 books. The title of the final book of the Thrawn Ascendancy trilogy is Lesser Evil, and it will be released on November 16, 2021.

Announcing the final book of the trilogy before the second book, Greater Good is even released and releasing two books of a trilogy in the same year are a surprise, but Del Rey Star Wars has emphasized on Twitter that this is not an April Fool’s joke.

Very happy to see that we are going to have a Boba Fett story and also a Slave I story for the new “From A Certain Point of View” book from @delreystarwars. They will be set around The Empire Strikes Back, a very interesting stage in my opinion. Let’s see what they will bring!
