I think everybody and their grandma would recognize such gorgeous lines, and yes, I can confirm they’re indeed @demandthedoodles’ who was extremely lovely for accepting to collab with me ;; thank you again stea 💛 We drew each other bab-- blorbos and their beloved fereldans (what’s with fereldans tho, what do they eat to be like *gestures eloquently*?? if I knew cabbage would do *that* to a person I would have eaten kilos of it per meal o-o) 💛 and seriously, you have to take a look at his part because the coloring is breathtaking ;;

I gifted poor Savraas my innate sense of 'something is off about me so people will leave eventually' so when the tall handsome guy with the pillowy man-bosoms offers no strings attached fun (ha), he sees it as a way to not get his heart broken finally (haha) but still have a nice time.

He knows like technically they're not dating bc well Qunari don't really do that, and that's fine they're still friends, they're still working together and having a hell of a time killing stuff and trying out new weird shit in bed... but Sav still thinks of dragon-killing outings as dates. Very quietly, just to himself. 👉👈 And specifically plans these outings with Bull in mind :) For very normal reasons, of course, dragons are dangerous to the people living nearby their nests. *coughs* Definitely not because his boyfriend loves fighting dragons and his enthusiasm is absolutely darling and he looks so good covered in dragon blood...

Compatible brand of freaks is right bc, well, there's the kinky shit sure but there's also Savraas being a little nerd freak about new lightning spells and the sheer delight he feels watching melee enemies get yoinked back by Static Cage and fried from the inside out by lightning like chicken nuggets squealing in the microwave 😈. And then there's Bull with his wild and terrifying Reaver bloodlust, and dragon lust I suppose (affectionate) something cool happens in battle? these two are both going wild about it. Sera too, when she's there. They have a complicated point system for cool explosions, gibbing and trick shots. Sav won't admit it but he loved getting to explode all that gaatlok.

Also Savraas loves stupid jokes, much to everyone else's dismay because when the two of them really get going there's no stopping until they literally can't breathe for laughing. (Krem dies inside bc he didn't expect to end up with two dads' worth of horrible dad puns)

The Feelings kind of blindside both of them but it's nice. It's really nice. What started as just a 'safe harbor away from the storm' as Varric put it, somewhere Mr. Paperwork and Hard Decisions Who Hates Both Of These Things can just exist as himself, and where the Iron Bull can be exactly what's needed, eventually turns into a much deeper understanding of the other and being fiercely cherished like this is not something poor Sav thought he'd ever end up with. ough. I think my heart's too squishy about it yet for much more analysis detail (literally finished Trespasser... 14 hours ago? lol 💀💀) but it makes me 🥺🥺🥺 so hard, their devotion kills me 💜

I read this story long ago all in one sitting. It absolutely gripped me, tugged at my heartstrings, and wouldn't let me go. A Cadash/Solas/Varric Tethras rare pair, you have to give this a try.

Rating: E Pairing: Female Cadash/Solas, Female Cadash/Varric, Varric/Solas Chapters: 13/13 Length: 42,657 words Summary: Maria Cadash hung up the Inquisitor's mantle for the Viscountess' crown, but she's unable to stop her desperate and impossible struggle to stop Fen'Harel from destroying the world both her husband and daughter inhabit. The fact Varric, Maria, and Solas are all madly in love with each other just means she may have enough of an edge to win this game.

This is the worst hand I’ve ever seen, Fenris thought to himself as he peered at the cards that Jurian tilted towards him. He tried not to let it show on his face; Donnic and Aveline were watching closely from the other side of the table, after all. When Jurian had asked for his help with playing the game, Fenris didn’t think that he’d be so abysmal at it. “Try that,” he said instead, tapping at one of the cards.

Jurian grinned and faced forward in his chair once again, but Fenris let his gaze linger for a few seconds more. The wine had flushed his cheeks pink even in the dimming candlelight, and the deep red of his tunic only served to emphasize it. It was a flush of delight and of life; Fenris had worried for Jurian when he had come back from his latest trip with dark circles under his eyes and sore shoulders, mumbling and dodging any questions about the Warden-Commander.

When Fenris leaned back in his own chair, he was met with a subtle and suspicious glare from Donnic. He smiled, just slightly, and everyone returned to their cards.

Fenris lost his next hand. To Jurian, actually, and to the surprise of everyone but Fenris. It had been easy enough to set Jurian up after Fenris got a good look at his cards, and all it took was one glance at his delighted grin for Fenris to know that he’d made the right call, even if it stung at his pockets. He looked up, and Donnic was watching with a raised brow. Fenris put a finger to his lips and not a question was uttered.

Fenris could have let it go, just the once. The thing about addiction, however, is that once is never enough. It was the very thing that Aveline had been crowing about for weeks leading up to their night all together playing cards—up until the point she began to win a few rounds. Fenris realized that she was right; any time he could have played a hand to win, he didn’t. He couldn’t. Jurian’s giddy laugh, the smug turn of his smile, the obnoxious way that he crowed and taunted, even if it was aimed at Fenris—it was worse than the wine. It was intoxicating.

Fenris was doomed—and at this rate, he was going to end up broke.

A little fluffy shortfic that I’ll probably expand on soon but I just wanted to get it out 😔 many thanks to @demandthedoodles who helped me cultivate this idea <3

WIP Wednesday

I'm starting this, this week? I am! Sorry if it's a bother, but for diaristic purposes and just the fun of it I'm doing it. It's a nice habit and I like seeing all the WIPs before everything gets completed! I'll start.

Another piece of Dark-Lady lore, because I had a frenzy on Monday and blurted out another chapter. It's a flashback, I went into full Silmarillion lore and blurted out the "How come Miss Cinnamon Roll came to be an evil overlord". We got a wild Solas. And I wanted to do some art about it. The wisteria is gonna kill me, but we'll die like Noldorin trying to regain some shiny jewel. *badum tsssssss*

Smooch. There was a big flow of likes and reblogs on this post and the blorbos in my head said it was too much time since I gave them some good smooching, so here you go with a sequel of sort? Scruff is to be added, worry not.

WIP Wednesday

Thank you for the tags @greypetrel and @demandthedoodles! It might be misleading to call this part of a WIP because upon editing I fear I may have to cut this bit. But it's too funny to toss into the void and it doesn't fit with anything else I'm working on at the moment, so here's part of a letter exchange between Varric and Fenris post-HLTA.

A series of letters passed between Skyhold, a dead drop on the border between Tevinter and the Free Marches, and northeastern Ferelden: 

28 Kingsway, 9:41 Dragon

Fenris, 

Hawke is fine. 

That’s how she wanted me to open this letter, so there: Hawke is fine. In my personal, expert opinion, I think it’s bullshit. She has that look about her—the one she had after Leandra died. You know the one I mean. 

I’ll let her tell you herself, because you’ll never believe me if I try to explain. I wouldn’t believe myself, to be honest. Her trip down the mountain keeps getting delayed, but officially she’s headed to Weisshaupt. She said you’d know what she meant by it. 

Don’t bother asking me why I’m the one writing to you and not her. I asked her the same thing and she wouldn't give me a straight answer. 

As for the Inquisition: I wouldn’t bother. Sort of get the feeling there’s too many folks here you’d rather avoid. The whole “castle on a hill” thing makes this place hard to sneak away from, I can tell you that from experience. We have good people here. They’ll figure this whole thing out. 

She refuses to stick around. Said she has a promise to keep, and she wouldn’t take any coin no matter how much they offered her. Between you and me, I tried to talk her into taking it—they’re good for it, and she might as well get something in exchange for everything else, but you know Hawke. She got that look in her eyes and said she’d have the loan of a horse and nothing else. Wasn’t really sure what else I could do. 

Just—take care of her, would you?

Listen, I’m set to go out on a set of missions in the next few days. They’ll pass on any messages, but I might not be able to answer right away.

Hawke left Skyhold in one piece. If I use the Inquisition’s agents to track her down, then they’ll know where she is. She explicitly asked me not to do that. So I’m not sure what you want me

The letter ends in a large, angled splotch of spilled ink.

(Originally, this was followed by a scene where Fenris is shaking Varric by the lapels. Despite being very funny, it didn't quite fit right, either. Alas. Someday.)
