Been a minute since I’ve posted on here, but Art Fight just ended! This was a friendly fire revenge on Instagram user Viilatus! Their Neapolitan Ice Cream inspired Gypsy Vanner Unicorn, Tuesday Glamour!

(Posting this here cause I feel posting it anywhere else will spark drama. I will be transparent in saying my opinion of Kique is not the highest, I used to really respect the dude at one point. As a former fan this is being done for fun. Not profit, and not to start a war. Whether Kique actually takes this critique or not is up to him.)

Some friends and I had a fun discussion about how designs that are too dark are just not it. Roamer’s lightest color that wasn’t white or beige was so dark, you could hardly seen the linework. I also noticed that his coat type is chimera but… where? I need a bit more convincing than just a white butt. Chimera dogs can be absolutely beautiful, I have no idea why the original design didn’t take more advantage of chimera patterns from shepherds and huskies.

As a chimera, I did my best to represent both traits of Grayson and Niita. The chimera causes the large patches of white of Niita’s fur. Also, heterochromia, to further accentuate that both of the good natured qualities are present within their child.

(The Roamer in my mind is almost nothing like the one we actually have. For anyone that’s interested, I don’t mind elaborating! I’m also very open to critiques and being educated about genetics! I did a ton of research, but even that doesn’t cover everything.)

Mindtober 2022, Day 10 - Bite

“You need to bite in this life, boy.” Rassvet sneered through a bloody muzzle.

“I didn’t see him, uncle, I tried-“

“You hesitated. Don’t!” He continued, his golden eyes piercing the powdery haze of dusk. It was enough for young Sumerki to bury his haunches in the snow, a desperate attempt to seek chilling comfort. “The moment your paws stop, so does your life. Always run, and always bite back.”

None of us are born with anger, yet such an emotion can be taught and instilled in the young. Not even Rassvet knows why this is their work, but he does know that anger has helped him survive this far. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Sumerki’s journey however, is a different story.

(I know Borzoi actually never hunted wolves. There’s Dobermans and Shepherds that also have the ability to hunt wolves, reality of our world has no place in this story. 👍🏼)

Been insanely stressed out, so I’ve been doodling old man Mike for comfort. From the clients at work I’ve shown this to, this may end up being some kind of merch. 🤦‍♀️ I’m terribly intimidated of the idea of being a merch!artist. Time will tell!

There’s big plans for that knife btw, but rendering the hand comes first.

Day 4 of Mindtober, Artificial.

Starke’s jaws were violently removed by Orn, Maverick’s father. While the pack found peace for many months, they unknowingly sparked life into a monstrous hound. The artificial jaws cause Starke regular pain, despite his body adjusting to carrying the excessive weight. There’s also resentment towards the wolves for destroying his natural form.

Finished concepts for Ignus & Enola! These two friends serve as the basis of the creation story the wolves (and most other animals) of Nifl believe created their home. Does the story hold any truth? I suppose we’ll have to find out!
