It’s DERRY, for christ-sake. they’re going to get their asses kicked. this is why if you don’t have a date to the carnival, don’t go on the couple rides, but it got to the point where they didn’t want to leave the two alone. wilson is nervous. nerves are awful. he hates it so much.   “ it’s funny, “ he says as they pull off the dock of the boat ride, quietly to his friend. mike doesn’t seem like the type of person who’d freak out about a casual confession.        “ ----- i don’t know if i’d mind if we were actually here like bill n’ bev, and the rest of them. “ it’s subtle, and he really hopes that mike doesn’t look too far into it and be freaked.

It felt so fucked up. After twenty-seven years, they were all seeing each other for the first time, and yet it was already starting to feel like none of them had spent a day apart. The memories hadn’t completely come back yet, but Eddie already felt comfortable with all of them, more comfortable than he had with any other person since he had left Derry.

“You have to admit, this is fucked up,” he told Mike once a few of the others had broken off to return to their rooms. The Derry Town House felt all too quiet, and Eddie was almost sure that he knew why, it was a familiar feeling.

          the kiss was heated-- a desperate action that richie couldn’t bring himself to stop even if he wanted to. and god, he really didn’t want to anyway. felt overtaken by how much he needed to kiss mike.   ( the confession of his feelings, of what he’d held tightly inside all those years as kids, that was now bright and obvious once again, it still lingered in his mind. powered him on. he knew this was the right move. sometimes, no more words were needed. ) 

hands are greedy after years of longing and he holds mike tightly against him, presses his hips in close, pinning him to the wall. tongue slides slow, tasting, tracing mike and learning, committing it all to memory. 

( doesn’t want to forget this. refuses to. ) 

but hands soon let go and instead, richie presses both palms to the wall, caging mike in as he pulls back, looks into his eyes and there is a SMIRK on his lips as he looks at him before moving across, kissing down mike’s cheek, toward his jawline where he bites playfully-- a light action before he’s kissing over it tenderly, sweetly.  

“ you got any idea how much i wanted to kiss you when we were younger? almost did it you know. right before i moved away. ” breathy chuckle escapes before richie comes back up again, meets his eyes.  “ don’t think i’m gonna be able to stop now. ”

In 2014, following an economic collapse and rising social unrest, a political organization named "The New Founding Fathers of America" (NFFA) is formed and is voted into office. The organization establishes a new totalitarian government and a police state. In 2016, the NFFA devises a plan to help stabilize American society and later in 2017, the 28th Amendment to the U.S Constitution is ratified. This amendment establishes a 12-hour event known as "The Purge" which would take place from 7:00 in the evening of March 21 to 7:00 in the morning of March 22, wherein all crime including murder becomes legal. Before the Purge begins, the Emergency Broadcast System is activated with rules and a prayer saying "Blessed be our New Founding Fathers and America, a nation reborn" before ending with "May God be with you all". The rules for the annual Purge are as follows: Sirens blare throughout the land to signal the start and end of The Purge. All police, fire, and medical emergency services remain unavailable or suspended for the twelve-hour Purge. Government officials of ranking 10 or higher are granted immunity (revoked in Election Year to legalize the murder of a political opponent). Weapons of "Class 4" and below are permitted for use while "Class 5" weaponry (explosive devices such as grenades, rocket launchers, bazookas, etc., weapons of mass destruction, and viral/biological and chemical agents) is prohibited. Public hanging is the penalty for violators of any rules.
